Wow! This sealed N64 Super Mario 64 is already up to $117,000 with 23 days left! I wonder where these games and some of the other heavyweights will end at.

Wow, people are dumb, huh!

How did this even get 9.8 with such an ugly-ass corner? Computer ENHANCE:

Come on guys go look at a damn copy of the game.  There's clouds all over the box and all of them have a white cloud in the bottom front corner.

Oh, I wasn't aware of this, I'm not too familiar with US boxart! Corner looked fucky to me! 😅

I formally retract my statement, this game is clearly worth multiple hundreds of thousands of dollars! 😉

Damn. That’s one of the fastest hikes I’ve seen a game have despite being such a new listing.

Go Mario go

This isn’t the first time I’d notice this type of thing. Wata has been grading some very shoddy games way too high. I saw a sealed blue version with an extremely baggy seal get an A++ seal rating. Meanwhile my near-case-fresh gameboy games get A and A+.

Edit: oh it’s just clouds how neat

I had a look, and every sealed SM64 they've sold has that same thing. Every copy on eBay seems to as well. Maybe it's counted as a kind of inherent manufacturing defect so doesn't hurt the grade?

Holy jesus, it's not enough that HA and certifiedlink are live with giant auctions simultaneously, now so is ComicConnect:

https://www.comicconnect.com/browse/?filters=1&stock_category_id[0][o]=E&stock_category_id[0][v]=5&tzf=1&page=2

they do not have any useful filtering options so you'll have to look through 20 freaking pages of stuff yourself. But there's at least a Stadium Events cart and a sealed SMB in there.

The SE cart caught my eye too. It’s surprising to see considering it’s a big player. I’d have put it on HA personally.

These auctions are all way too loaded, especially during summer when post-covid traveling is becoming reality.  You're going to see some games go below expectations and there could be some buying opportunities out there.

I don't believe in any "bubble popping" talk, but a cooling market can and will definitely happen to some extent.

The 5% of the top tier stuff will be fine, but the 95% of the stuff that gets churned will stagnate a bit.

I mean, even with "top tier" stuff...how many SMBs are there across those three auctions if you sit down and add them all up? I should do some kind of inventory. There's gotta be some kind of limit on how many people will throw hundreds of thousands of dollars at them at virtually the same time...right? 🤣

There is a limit to the number of people dropping G's on sealed Nintendo tapes. But people aren't limited to buying one copy 😛

Wow, what is this awful looking website. Maybe there will be some easy pickings with how bad the filtering is (probably not though).
