More GC games towards the fullest. Just 12 to go.

Just checking your sanity levels. But by "full set" you mean "one copy of each game" variety and not the "You might as well be listening to Hotel California because I found another print variant of a shovelware game." variety, right? :classic_ninja:

I was not talking about "The Neverending Collection". Legend has it that no living being is capable of completing it. And that once the "Chosen One" does, they get as many wishes as they want. With each wish bringing back the people and land the Nothing has taken away.

Just one of each. I'm going for the 558 games. I'm not going for the Player's Choice games.
I'm not that crazy.

And the double packs, the store exclusives, the first/benefits prints, and the promo/UPC punched stuff, right? :classic_ninja:

In all cases I am glad you are doing the sane thing. And I say that because I have developed an interest in the PS3 line-up again. Only to remember that there are rare/scarce print variants for that as well. 😅

Just packing ready for the long trip back to Taiwan!

It's been an amazing trip back home with the family, the time has just disappeared!

Anyway, enough of that, here's the rest of the stuff I found!

Nice to have a copy of Burnout, been looking for that! Also managed to find Burnout 2 AND Simpsons Hit and Run, very happy to hit those targets! Couple more PAL exclusive MD games there too!

Standard 1 pound Charity shop Top Spin find.

This was a pretty sweet little find, Banjo Pilot on GBA! These aren't common and I've never played it, it's also the only Banjo game I didn't have, so that's good!

Final big lot of purchases, just finishing off the dregs of the stuff in the cheap game stores. VERY good prices on all these games, can't complain at all! Plus, another XBOX gun, why not!

So yeah, as you can see, mainly been focusing on XBOX stuff, but overall I think I've done quite well! 😄

I just checked the other day because I feel like I have a majority of the library and there are 188 games that I still need. It's gonna take sooo long, oh how I wish I bought more cheap Gamecube stuff in the early 2010s.

I have bought my first ever Xbox system game. I need to buy the system next week. I have never bought a game system from Microsoft, but I want a 360 now that I am looking into Konami's later years.

Otomedius.png.501ed21bf238b1b75a15e4881c8b7273.png

Otomedius is a spin-off of Gradius featuring beautiful women as pilots, and is a tribute to all earlier Konami space shooters. There are nods to Gradius, Twinbee, Salamander, Axelay, Parodius, and every space shooter Konami released. It is the second Otomedius game, with the original only being in Japan. It is considered by Konami to be a spiritual successor to Parodius. The artist for Otomedius is the same person who drew Keroro Gunsou, a popular manga from the 2000s.

This all makes Otomedius sound really good, but it looks to be very easy and not that great compared to past shooters. I'm happy to discover it though, and wouldn't have known about it had I not investigated. I also haven't played it yet, so it might be more fun than it looks in videos. I think due to the target audience of beautiful anime women, the game was likely made easier. This is the last Gradius related game to be released, not counting the casino game.

Otomedius is not compatible with Xbox One or Series X. There was also no European release.

The exclusives for both consoles are quite lacking though. 😞

It's funny as I always thought that too as an outsider to Microsoft, but while looking into Konami it turns out the 360 had multiple games that weren't on PS3. The 360 got Otomedius Excellent, Rumble Roses XX, Bomberman Act Zero, and Dance Masters, an exclusive Dance Dance Revolution spin-off for Kinect.

There were two other Kinect exclusives that I can't find much information about. Many late era Konami games aren't well documented. With no more games being released, I think people don't care about the company anymore.

I don't want to be a Japan fanboy but some covers are just nicer, like this one. And the Asian variant without the CERO rating is even better.

This gold background has a shiny finish which looks much better in real life than in the photo.

And to finish off, I think the game has some good-looking graphics in some areas, like the wooden building in the middle of shallow water and the snowy town. Reminds me of Rygar and the platform area near the end, with all the floating asteroids. Very nice.

The 360 doesn't have a lot of exclusive but I still really love that system. If you're into RPG's then Lost Odyssey is a must.

I'm not sure if 360's are multi region but if they are then grab the Cave games. They might not be the best versions of Cave games but having some shooters to play on the 360 is always a good thing.

Also on the theme of you grabbing the Konami later years, definitely get Lord of Shadow. It's not my favourite Castlevania by a long shot but I do love that they tried to mix it up and give it a sort of God of War feel to it. It's definitely a great game worth getting.

I really should get around to collecting 360 🤔

I second this! When I had friends that were into PS3 and Xbox 360 games, I had a small list of 360 games I wanted to try out. Including Lost Odyssey and Blue Dragon.

Plus, I also bought the gothic castle space on PlayStation Home because of Lord of Shadows. It was, by far, so much nicer than Konami's Silent Hill space (which did disappoint me, TBH).

Then again... Rumble Roses XX is my guilty pleasure, even if Rumble Roses on PS2 was a bit better in terms of content (championships and the like).

It's on my list. 🙂 I watched some of it on Youtube, and was happy with how straight faced it is. Too many games now are snarky with tongue in cheek dialogue, and it's hard to get invested. Lords of Shadow looks like it respects itself enough to let you enjoy it.

My 360 Konami list is

  • Castlevania: Lords of Shadow
  • Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance
  • Silent Hill Homecoming
  • Otomedius Excellent
  • Rumble Roses XX
  • Bomberman Act Zero
  • Dance Masters (Kinect)
  • Adrenalin Misfits (Kinect)

Metal Gear Rising is a fantastic game, definitely get that one when you see it. I haven't played Silent Hill Homecoming, it got panned on release but has now obtained a cult following. I should get around to playing it one day.

Is this in any way desirable to metal gear fans? @Gloves says no. I’m keeping hope alive cause I’m trying to make $$$0E138BBF-C643-4C9A-BE09-72F6F64403F5.thumb.jpeg.56df8c4d8df7dc7f8e0d69824d752012.jpegFFA9ED2F-9606-41E0-A576-45EED4A9B9F4.thumb.jpeg.d6dedd4c4c6f92b5508cb3c80ad70687.jpeg
