  1. I can’t exactly guarantee I seen EVERY one...but I’ve been actively trying to spot one for that time. The good news is that patience is key with a variant like this one. Eventually it will be listed and it will be affordable. If I see one I’ll alert you to it, or if you want I can even buy it straight up and sell it back to you at cost...I’ve got no interest in owning multiple, but I do have an interest in seeing if there’s variants on the circuit board.
  2. I wish you luck in trying to find it then! I’m trying to gauge how often they show up by watching every Tecmo NBA Basketball on eBay and I’ve only seen one loose copy in the 4 or 5 months I’ve been watching. There’s also a matching box and manual... I managed to score mine at a local game store for $25
  3. +1 for MobyGames. Given the size of the database and amount of contributors there’s a lot of inconsistencies to be found, but it’s easily the most comprehensive database of game info. I use it to research companies since they like to separate things like “Nintendo R&D4” or “Nintendo of America” as its own company instead of bundling them all up under the Nintendo umbrella.
  4. Yes. It should be available in 11 and I guess 19 as well. I think I also seen a white NBA logo variant with 08 stamped in the back but I’m not sure. Whats significant is if there’s the letter “A” though. When there’s a letter stamped on the back it seems to typically means there’s a software revision inside. Also, the N7 variant has no Michael Jordan in game, and the back of the box removed the mention of a “full roster” and now boast “over 260 real players” instead...one known sealed copy and its alleged, no photo proof.
  5. Eww, gross. Could have easily been his arms, legs, or even his hair instead. Maybe it’s a Scandinavian thing, don’t they also have the museum of penis over there?
  6. Psssst there’s *another* variant that’s even more subtle. Hey all, take a photo of the back of your BK-1 carts. ... Edit: Meh why hide it. I’m pretty sure the N7 software can be found in certain BK-1 variants with “07A” stamped on the back. Seems like all boxes that have the first three numbers as 011 or 016 come with the 07 back....and all of them that have the 022 serial number have 07A on the back. the A usually means a software revision.
  7. Made a mistake and selected dice for #1 singular is Die plural is Dice My background is just public schooling. I won’t use the “proper” word in a casual setting though. There are also very few situations that call for the proper word.
  8. 8pm? I've been on here at 4am multiple times....there IS no reasonable downtime for me Gloves.
  9. So like...anyone else got any inserts they want to sell? I've already found a fourth 1986 ROB poster variant now....
  10. Yeah...good luck with Brazil. The only thing they love more than SMS is Atari, and PS2
  11. Both actually. Im currently working on boxes and manuals while I plan to literally spend thousands of dollars buying and reselling CIB console bundles to see if there’s any pattern in serial numbers and bundle with bundle -1, -2 etc variants factored in as well.
  12. @CasualCart is a long standing community member who knows his kool-aid. DISCLAIMER: He has sent me artwork as bribery and acknowledged my existence this one time, so I must therefor advise you I am biased. While no flavor is perfect, a simple google search will tell you that cherry flavor (Benzaldehyde) has an optimal balance of low UV refractive index and natural gamma ray radiation resistance properties. Also, If you put grape and blueberry on the color spectrum you can clearly see they’re closer to the ultraviolet spectrum meaning they also are susceptible to systemic di-photonic intradepigmentation of the IR color spectrum. The chromatic aberration artifacts found in other flavors closer to the IR spectrum such as Tropical Punch are also too high to consider, while middle ground flavors like Lemonade have antisputtering anomalies that effectively randomize the estimated length of preservation. Simply put, cherry is the correct flavor of choice when you want to preserve your games. As long as you have a running freezer your games might outlive the heat death of the universe. Also, as a cartridge, CasualCart is not human and therefor not prone to human error.
  13. Jeez, I would have been CONFIDENTLY incorrect about that bit of trivia. I could swear up and down that it was Colorado....
  14. I have a CIB Punisher that I submitted for grading. I wanted to test my own personal biases against the new industry standard and I was mostly right except for the manuals. They really REALLY scrutinize manual condition despite it only counting for 20% of the grade.
  15. See my answer for Intellivision. Perfectly average. If I’m not mistaken it’s the first console to push Atari out of the limelight so it’s got that going for it. I just can’t enjoy home arcade gaming without an analog stick or d-pad.
  16. The Wii U was a total failure so much so that Nintendo left the home console market all together. (Unless you count NES/SNES Classic) I think it could have been totally avoided if they dropped the “Wii” naming convention and marketed it better because the system had a lot going for it. Touch screen that wasn’t just a novelty. Play without a tv Backwards compatibility Cheaper than the competitors Even the games that *did* came out on it were top shelf games, and that’s proven by the fact that most of them were potted over to the Switch. It just had poor third party support and even worst marketing. I love that it did fail though. It proves Nintendo can’t just rely solely on themselves and their IP. They need third parties to work with them to have a diverse ecosystem. Complacency breeds failure.
  17. ...whoa, y’all got that much done in ONE NIGHT!?
  18. Pickup some more NES Games, Posters, Manuals, and Registration Cards. Begin a Game Boy set going down one publisher at a time. Complete a v1.0 of my scanning project.
  19. Wonder if it’s unfair to start while our Californian friends are stuck in 2020
  20. Take your time...current scanning / photo backlog is roughly 200 posters, 200 boxes, 100 cartridges, 1000+ manuals, and every loose cart circuit board I own. This is about half my NES collection.
  21. I think I have a “secret” way to get them. There has to be MIMP communities and other Keshi figurine communities.
  22. Very nice work! I’m trying to track down all -1, -2 etc, variants of these things and see if I can correlate serial numbers to print runs of boxes as my next project. This is a great start!
  23. Remember when the old farts at the old place said we didn’t need an @ function or GIFs... Well who’s laughing now!
  24. Yes. If by “bring your kid to work day” means “hope you can work it and not make another kid” day. eww. That just sounded wrong. Its the one day of the year where you legally pay for sex. There, much less creepy.
