  1. I ordered the Broke Studio four pack of Famicom games back around the summer of this year, I also pre ordered bat puncher then. Also backed the Kickstarter for a limited copy of Project Blue on Famicom waaaay back. At this point I've received nothing, aside for some rom download links, and I have not heard any Project Blue updates for awhile either. I wanted to buy another game or two from this company, but I just am not sure that I should, as I've spent several hundred dollars and received nothing. I know some of these companies take a long time to ship things out, and I'm a very patient guy, but the lack of communication is extremely worrying. Should I be worried? Has anyone else ordered something from these guys recently and received it?
  2. Also for everyone interested: The price on these will be $80 shipped from Taiwan, I'll autograph them, if you want my brother's autograph as well the price will go up $5-$10 since I'd have to ship to him, and then him to you guys The price includes book + game cartridge + postage. if anyone wants one of these please post here or pm me, I'm going to send out invoices later this week, then start assembling these to get them out to everyone by January. This will likely be the only chance to get the game. After this sale here, I'll start selling the book through Amazon, and I do think there'll be a way to bundle the game with it. thanks!
  3. @Scrobins @dockvalentine@Murrayill be contacting you guys over the next day or too about this
  4. Thanks. Asking, as the same logic should also be applied to the game situation in Taiwan edit: for the record, that's how I viewed it as well, though many wouldn't (at least regarding the situation here)
  5. Does a simple importation sticker make the game go from European version to middle eastern version?
  6. Got some other goodies the past few days. First, some hu cards from the notorious Changhua storehouse guy. I still don't have a machine to play these on, but I actually do want to try some of these games out, so maybe I'll treat myself at the end of the month, for Christmas. Then there's some magazines from the same guy. Up next is the Asian version of Front Mission Alternative for PS. Sadly it's missing the back artwork. Then there are two arcade PCBs. I know, I know, I'll cover up those windows shortly. Any idea how I can figure out what games are on these? What about the second one, FC for Famicom? Finally, also grabbed another homebrew, I'll likely play it when my Japanese friend stays over on Wednesday. Got some Famiclone carts too, but I'm still sorting through what I'll keep and what I'll unload.
  7. It's getting late tonight, I'll send the tracking code tomorrow. I'm excited and hope my recipient likes his gift
  8. Also if VGS needs any more mods, I can volunteer my time.
  9. Actually I agree with most of what you wrote above, and I'm sorry for making you boil up. Similarly, I agree with the second round of points that I received, as I was out of line there. With the initial point though, IIRC I called someone a name in the political thread - considering people were accusing me of being racist and other nasty stuff, as well as belittling the experiences I had been discriminated against, I still feel that point was a bit unjust. Now, I've said my piece, I'll leave it at that.
  10. I don't even have to look at the pop reports. That said, this stuff is common AF compared to many other games, the true rares.
  11. If people are calling each other assholes or other bad names, I sure hope they're getting points on their profiles for it.
  12. This year my folks sent my Christmas presents around Halloween, they were tired of my gifts not arriving until after Christmas. I'm so used to it though, I'm not bothered at all when it comes to waiting for parcels, this or others.
  13. For me, Mondays are always a drag. I work until 6, usually get home about 7. And I generally feel exhausted. Tuesdays suck. I hate the classes I need to teach, then I teach an online class until 9:30 pm. That class is fun, just adults, but still it's something I need to think about, which ties me down. Therefore by Wednesday I'm on easy street. No extra classes, finish work at 4:30. Thursdays are busy, but they're fun. I always go out to dinner that evening for pizza, then record a YouTube video with a friend for our channel. Friday is great as well, head directly home, often I go out for dinner with a lesbian friend of mine, for hot pot, Japanese BBQ, etc. Sometimes she'll bring a mutual guy along that we know, an older Japanese guy, then we generally get drinks and the night gets crazy. Saturdays are great, sleep in, relax, and work on my projects. Sundays, a continuation of Saturday, but much more relaxed. Sow how about everyone here, which days do you like?
  14. My friend was going to chat with someone at 9 pm, though my friend and I were doing business beforehand, and would do business afterwards (maybe resume at 10). We live two minutes away, but I figured I'd just play on my phone at his whilst he made his call. Suddenly, the Mexican food we ate earlier felt like it was gonna go right through me. I told him straight, either I left at that moment for mine, or I would have to bomb his. Lol. Awkward to be so frank, but over here if it's a restaurant you've never eaten at before, you're taking a risk, lol.
  15. This isn't exactly what you're looking for, but I suspect it's closer to the truth of what the plebs were gaming on, back in the day (very old article, sorry for any mistakes or poor writing. I'm actually dealing with a middle eastern customer now, I'll ask him about it if I get the chance) https://fcgamer.wordpress.com/2014/11/22/famicom-in-the-middle-east/ Whether Nintendo released official stuff or not I think is irrelevant; this is the sort of stuff that actual people used. The Majid translation is super popular, Ive had dozens of people from the region wanting to buy that multicart from me over the years. Then there's the fact that a Taiwanense company actually translated a game into Arabic...a first on Nintendo, aside from the Captain Tsubasa translation and the educational carts. Thing is, even if they did have their own official releases, it's likely most people weren't playing on those. In the past few years an official polish region was discovered, I showed several Polish collector friends, they all were clueless about it and thought it was fake. It'll likely be a similar situation here. Edit: so that would make the games extremely rare, but also historically insignificant imo.
  16. So you are saying the agenda of the others is to shut down the grading houses to bring prices down to what they were 20 years ago, do I understand correctly?
  17. Bois, still waiting to be enlightened. I'm not even one of the "bad guys" against this sort of crap, too busy for that nonsense. Please please I'm waiting to hear some words...
  18. Please enlighten me, oh wise one, what agenda might that be? I'm asking a serious question here, ...
  19. These games aren't rare. Perhaps the condition they're in is rare, but the games themselves aren't.
  20. As much as I find these kinds of discussions entertaining, and as much as I feel that there is a TON of greed in this hobby, I believe that Tom is genuinely a nice guy. Back in the NA days he had messaged me randomly and then sent my brother a slabbed Mega Man action figure. While I don't remember much of the deets at all anymore, I do remember that it was a completely random thing, something I'll never forget. So once again, thanks Tom, and I'm sorry to hear about your recent losses.
