  1. You're right, the rabbit hole does go a bit deeper, but not in the way that you are suggesting. Show me the proof you have for the bolded part of your claims. The claim you laid down could be the reality of the matter, but it also might not be. An equally plausible scenario would be that the generic boxes were made first, as a means of getting the product out there to meet deadlines, as quickly as possible. Or in a slightly different scenario, the generic box was created to cut on costs, and only after seeing demand for the other versions were console-specific boxes created. Before drawing conclusions, it'd be best to examine all of the boxes for a better picture (a quick search even showed a German box that had listed NES / PC in print in the corner). Furthermore, it appears that the keyboards aren't exactly the same, as a quick image search shows that some keyboards appear to have a Nintendo seal of approval printed on them...are my eyes playing tricks on me? With that bit out of the way, let's get down to one final point. It doesn't matter if some boxes are generic + stickers, and others were dedicated for one machine: These are both equally valid / true NES Miracle Piano boxes, made by the company. Of course we all prefer the box that was specifically printed, rather than the "generic" box, but the item was obviously sold in both, so both are equally as "real", yea it sucks for you buddy, keeping it real, gotta get both if you are trying to collect variants...
  2. Hopefully I'm subsidizing Pennsylvania, but likely I'm subsidizing bullshit.
  3. Well, yeah. Taiwan's exactly the same. Outsiders will notice them though, at least until they get used to it. I was very earthquake sensitive when I first arrived in Taiwan. That's my point though, to say California doesn't have daily earthquakes is simply untrue, though for the uninitiated, they are imagining catastrophic huge-ass tremors most likely, whereas the reality is much much different.
  4. Well that seems to be a bit odd, as I did a quick search and found this. Looks like daily earthquakes are indeed the norm for California.
  5. Well are there basically "daily earthquakes"? In Taiwan there are, but to say that to someone who's never lived in an earthquake region before, the reality of the situation is much, much different from how people might imagine it to be.
  6. I contribute to the nation too, and I don't even live there anymore.
  7. Oh wow, that's cool. I've only been through that way over the past ten years though, when flying to Taiwan or back home. In all seriousness though, I do try to avoid that airport because of the delays, preferring to just transfer in Tokyo. Always did enjoy the 7 AM beers from Gordan Biersch though.
  8. Umm what? I've only ever been to the airport in San Fran, and it sucks. You're right, I don't want to deal with missing my connections due to delays. Also don't want to finger paint in shit when walking down the street. California sucks.
  9. Ahh yes, I'm quite family with this, and unfortunately with Cocomelon too! I thought you had meant this one: I don't even have kids, but I know all of this stuff waaaay too well, unfortunately.
  10. Are you referring to Tall Man and Pointer and all that garbage?
  11. We should have a vgs Baby Shark singing contest
  12. Of course it's sad to hear of anyone's passing, especially those who are positively influential to us. I'm curious though, will his passing cause an increase in price on sealed John Madden games?
  13. I got the shits last weekend off of a Vietnamese sub.
  14. The idiots in northern Taiwan are at it again! Hopefully with the vaccinated rate and the new strain being milder, we just accept it and keep plowing on. Really don't want to take another financial hit due to the idiots up north as well as the rich idiots coming over on holiday just for Chinese New Year / Christmas, and similarly not sure I can take another round of isolation in my apartment month after month with just my cat and balcony plants for company.
  15. Is that a doctor or nurse nurse, lol. Dude in scrubs shark doo doo doo doo...
  16. Trade you your junk for my junk? Rat not included, unfortunately. Please PM me if interested, we can go from there.
  17. A few years late, but let's discuss everything relating to Baby Shark. Do you and your SO act out all the voices and moves while making love? Hate the song because your kid constantly sings it? Joined with a flash mob in a coffee shop or major plaza to sing the song? Wear Baby Shark underwear? Let's talk Baby Shark!
  18. I found these over the past ten years, likely the art work was done by kids or teens. I thought these were quite neat and decided to keep them. I'm sure some others here have some carts with fun labels as these, please do share.
  19. The description of choco pies from our snack boxes. Sacrilegious?
  20. Not my picture, sadly the supermarket I stopped by didn't have them, so it might be a seasonal thing. I sent my mother some though awhile back.
  21. Well couldn't find them tonight, but they do make Green Tea / Matcha flavoured Choco Pies. Can Moon Pie do that?!
  22. Thanks for the interesting information! I just subjected a bunch of third graders to a talk about Big Mike bananas and artificial flavoring. The Taiwanense teacher left me with nothing to do, for a forty minute period, so that became the topic of my class. On a different note, gonna look tonight regarding Choco Pie, just gotta get off work first.
