  1. Living in Taiwan can be tough for a hardcore PAL collector, especially as I am currently working on my PAL N64 fullset. Most of the games we get out here are Japanese, with the occasional smattering of US NTSC. Due to this, whenever I go back to the UK I always do my best to stock up on as many games as I can, but then we run into a whole new issue: how to transport hundreds of pounds of games, consoles and accessories 6,000 miles?! That's where these huge boxes come in! Each box has a capacity of 30kgs,and you can send the smaller ones for 33 quid, the larger ones for 50 quid. That might sound like a lot, but I have found no cheaper way to send such a large volume and weight halfway around the world. It was this method I originally used to ship my entire collection from UK to Taiwan when I first moved here, and since then I've received a further 4 or 5 shipments. Let's take a look at what's inside! Oh... How disappointing, a bunch of kids swimming stuff and a crap Jumanji board game... Eh... Getting warmer I guess... Goddamn my sick OG Xbox fetish! Here we go, some solid Disney titles on Mega Drive! And yes, the first scraps of PAL N64 goodness are starting to emerge! Kidde's playpool? Hard pass! But wait, why's it so heavy?! Precious shovelware racing games, I knew it! Let's dig around further and see if there's anything else... Beat up condition boxed NES Advantage hiding under a copy of Wii Fit Plus, naturally. And HELLO Japanese N64 Train controller, been looking for one of these for ages! Nice, some of my beautiful Japanese boxed N64 games are in here as well, I LOVE the Japanese boxart on N64 it's the best and SO cheap! Not much left under here but some kids books we will be using to stock our school and rental library business. Each box is half filled with English language kids books we hope to rent and/or sell for profit here in Taiwan. But, of all the books, there is at least one in here that is all MINE, lol! So here are some of the spoils. Yes, I have a problem with shitty Xbox games, don't @ me... At least these look nice all together on the shelf! So, there we have it! There is plenty more junk in these boxes, but I never have enough time to sort through them all at once. Building a game collection from overseas is not easy, and certainly not cheap, but if you take your time and pick the right things to go after that personally bring you joy, it can be a lot of fun and very satisfying! Hope you enjoyed this little voyage into one sad bastard's game collecting journey!
  2. Andy!!! Eat you veggies dude, and welcome. Please try not to break anything, lol!
  3. You want me to put the list of PAL N64 games with different names in here dude? Or you got it covered?
  4. Welcome dude, good to see ya! And congrats on the new little terror on the way! ;)
  5. Welcome Tyler! You have some of my favourite worst opinions on the internet! Keep up the good work!
  6. Nice shout out for Spirit Tracks there! BOTW is a totally fair answer as well, it is an undoubtedly great game. I do so hope that they add real dungeons into the sequel tho, I have to say I did tire of the repetition in BOTW by the end.
  7. OG Doom on Switch, I also downloaded Doom II so I can play that next, so awesome! I'm also playing a little Blast Corps when I get the chance for the N64 contest, and so Ecolis Save the Forest on DS, although it's pretty bland imo.
  8. Welcome Pegboy, wouldn't be the same without the crotchety old gezzers keeping us whippersnappers in line! Please tell us again why all video games released after 1995 suck ass!
  9. Noob, you haven't even updated your profile picture Tyler! Get your shit together bro, lol!
  10. I don't have any new resolutions, just going to keep being the same old awesome me! Although, I will definitely be posing more on here than I did on NA since the buyout. I intend to up my contributions to at least what it was before that happened.
  11. I already told you, look in your kids' toy boxes! If it's not in there, check any lower than crotch-height cubby, nook or cranny. It's in there.
  12. I want to play this system so badly, when will you go into production with the final consumer-ready units? Also, how much will it cost, I am very rich so I can pay a lot of money for a product like this!
  13. I am a big fan of the new Star Wars movies, especially Rogue One (although I HATE SOLO, literally my least favourite Star Wars movie including the prequels). Definitely looking forward to this one now, after the latest trailer. The first two trailers didn't really sell me on it, but I dug this one in a big way, ESPECIALLY seeing Rey and Kylo fighting side by side. That is my most wanted thing to happen in this movie, BTW I really want there to be some alliance between Rey and Kylo, either Darkside, Lightside or neutral, I just want them together!
  14. ***SPLAIN ALERT*** ***SPLAIN ALERT*** ***SPLAIN ALERT*** ***SPLAIN ALERT*** Just testing, is the Splain alert going off where you are Splain? Message me back if you can hear the sirens, are they loud enough? Too loud? Not too loud enough??? How about now? ***SPLAIN ALERT*** ***SPLAIN ALERT*** ***SPLAIN ALERT*** ***SPLAIN ALERT***
  15. I originate from the UK, but I have made a nice little life for myself out here in Taiwan. Been living here in Taiwan, got my whole game collection out here with me. I think its like Futureman said up there, but being far from home and having fewer friends around me irl has actually been a huge boon to my collecting. My collection has more than tripled in size since I moved out here 4 and a half years ago!
  16. Kinda ironic that the most depressing birthday gift I ever received has brought such joy elsewhere... I don't suppose anything else arrived for you in the mail from Taiwan...?
  17. I am gonna stick around on the original NA until it dies for good, mainly to troll, shitpost and laugh at all the goings on, as well as to guide our fellows here to the new site. As soon as the rebooted NA launches, I'm just gonna delete the bookmark and never look back.
  18. You know my policy on birthdays. I'm shutting this thread down at once!
  19. I found your remote ALTQQ. But then I lost it again, sorry.
  20. Oh Christ, who left the door open?! Now we'll never be rid of him!
  21. Yeah, Link Between Worlds is fantastic, I substantially prefer it to LTTP in fact!
  22. I like the Kirby games, and the N64 version is especially beautiful. However, in general I kinda find them a little too easy for me, I don't feel much of an urge to go back to them very often. I haven't totally finished my playthrough of crystal shards tho, so perhaps I should go back and take another look!
  23. OoT is up there, undoubtedly! Top 5 N64 for me (not necessarily in order): Mario 64, Goldeneye, OoT, MM, Perfect Dark. So many close contenders tho, Banjo Kazooie, Mario Kart, Blast Corps, Diddy Kong Racing, Paper Mario, F Zero X, they could all easily be in the top 5 for me!
  24. Such a tough one! It does change from time to time, but I think I gotta give it up for Goldeneye. Still a 10/10 game for me, to this day, I think if I could only ever have one game again to play for life it would have to be Goldeneye!
