  1. YES! More stuff like this please! Getting people involved with the community/site will keep people coming back and help this place grow.
  2. Pretty clear explanation of the actual situation, and not just whining about youtubers or the guv'ament. Thanks for posting.
  3. I was on the old site for years. Never managed to "earn" any of them. Seems like most you had to "buy" them by spending a bunch of money on games. If they come back, I'd like to see some more related to actually taking part in site events (secret santa, competitions, complete every game for x system, werewolf, other fun stuff) or actually contributing articles, blogs, art, and other content for the site/community. I'd be more proud of that, than just showing off how much I spent on Earthbound collectables.
  4. Star Wars is on the naughty list EA is on the naughty list But Respawn are cool. Titanfall 2’s campaign is super underrated. No rush to stuff EAs pockets, might rent or pick it up used after the holidays when it’s $20
  5. Golden Age - (70s-early 80s) Arcades are king. Early home console like Atari brought the fun home. Ends at the great video game crash. Silver Age - (Mid 80s-Mid 90s) Rise of Nintendo as they, Sega, and other evolve the home market. Arcades still strong but not as much as their boom years outside of the fighting scene. Bronze Age - (Late 90s-Late 00s) Rise of 3D Gaming. Home consoles catch up and surpass Arcade. Arcades die. 2D gaming goes away. Modern Age - (Late 00s-now) Nostalgia mania, rereleases, remakes, and throwback titles galore. Online gaming. Rise of the indies. Portable gaming catches up to consoles.
  6. Christmas came early. Good to have you back KK. Make sure to join the Werewolf club.
  7. I think 50 would cover just the bare min. You miss out on a lot of lesser but still great sequels (if you limited it to 1 per franchise), hidden gems, and personal favs. Bump that threshold up to 100 and you would be set.
  8. I think this is a pretty good explanation of how the game works. I'm about at the same point 10 hours in and just started the 3rd Chapter, and things are really opening up. Getting the bike made getting around much easier but I being silly tried to take it up a rocky mountain and got pulled under by BTs, got dicey but managed to make it out. More hiking/mountain climbing sim than walking sim. It is a lot like Breath of the Wild, where the focus is more on exploration and survival than white knuckle combat. I wouldn't really call it "cinematic" like people are trying to say it is just a visual novel or something. There is a lot of cutscenes and story in the first 2 hour (which is pretty interesting and well done) but after that it really opens up and becomes much more an open world/sandbox with lots of gadgets to play with and structures you can build. More Adventure than Action and some will find it boring. It isn't really like anything else out there, you you need to take a leap of faith and try it out. You might just like it.
  9. My cousin had 30 of those WWF guys back in the day so he could have his own private Royal Rumble. He had them paired up with their teammates cept the Rockers, cause "Shawn Michaels is a bad guy now."
  10. Many palms were shredded in the Original Mario Party
  11. More like Video Game Slave Do you collect it....or does it collect you?
  12. So I stopped by NA the other day...Yikes!
  13. gems tl:dr it was a dev tool that helped musicians who might not be coders, work with the genesis audio easier. It was ment to be a jumping off point, but many used the pre-selected instrumentation which lead to a lot of the "fart sounds" and other common genesis audio complaints. Though some ost made via gems are actually really good like Comix Zone.
  14. ^This. Detective Pikachi is the best example of this kind of hybrid live action meets animation since Who Framed Roger Rabbit, and took a lot of que’s from that. Pokémon looked great and Ryan Reynolds was legit funny and managed to sneak in enough adult humor to make it about more than cute animals. Only letdown was the awful acting by the human cast, they should be banished back to the Disney channel or wherever they found them.
