Yeah, definitely sounds like a scam. I would expect the check to be deposited only to find out a week later it was fraudulent when the final bank verification of the instrument is complete.
My focus is currently on the Switch. I’m pretty happy with my vintage collection. I have a few items to add, Little Samson, Wild Arms Alter Code F, and complete R.O.B., but I’m waiting on those.
I agree with your complaints, but to be fair, there are definitely a fair amount of repo labels out there and they seem to be getting better in quality. Only once have I bought something online that ended up being a repo label and I returned it without a problem. The guy said he bought it from a store and didn’t realize the label was not original. After explaining the reasoning, he understood and appreciated the insight.
I gave up being negative about work for Lent. It has definitely helped me have a better attitude in general. However, working from home with two toddlers is testing me. My Archdiocese just announced that there will be no public Masses through Holy Week. My wife and I are trying our best to help the kids still stay in church mode on Sundays. We’ve been all dressing up while watching on tv and saying the responses.
lol, politics shouldn’t be a problem over there.
Also, just an update. Stores are still fairly barren here, NW burbs of Chicago. I was able to pick up some more beef, but chicken is basically nonexistent.
I’d look at at dividend aristocrats if you’re looking for dividends that won’t get slashed. I Personally want to invest in cloud computing. I’d like to see Microsoft drop some more. I like that they pay a dividend too.
I saw that they are having pre-orders for Dark Forces, Dark Forces II, and Streets of Rage 4 on Friday. I am not a LRG fan, but I think that I’m in on these.
I don’t have a deep freezer, but my parents live 10 minutes away and have an extra refrigerator and freezer. They are by themselves, so I could save stuff there.
We have talked about buying a share of a cow in the past, might bite the bullet now.
Grocery stores are out of meat near me, NW burbs of Chicago.
My wife and kids only eat meat and limited fruits and vegetables due to food allergies/sensitivities. I’ve resorted to ordering meat online for a little bit more than my normal cost (talking organic grass fed beef and organic chicken).
I finally bought a Switch a few months ago after holding on for a pro version. I couldn’t be happier. This is the most I have enjoyed video games since the PS2/GCN/Xbox era.
Some of us still have to worry about our kids. My three y/o son has been hospitalized and admitted three times, including last month, for asthma induced by getting sick. We’re paranoid parents. We separate him from sick kids as best as possible, take him out of activities during the cold/flu season and have him on inhaler/nebulizer treatments per doctor’s orders. I stockpiled this weekend so that we can avoid all public contact for two weeks for his sake. I read a NY Times article from a mom living in my same reality.
I just watched Apollo 13 last night for the first time. It was enjoyable. I was thinking what an experience those guys had and how incredible it was that they survived.
