Anyone play Panzer Dragoon? I’m debating getting it. It’s short and has received mediocre reviews.

I expect this recovery to be short term. There will be awful earnings releases for at least the next two quarters due to the disruption of business and the supply chain. That doesn’t even factor in the increased unemployment and lower discretionary spending of the public. With that said, my investment strategy is long term. I’ll ride out the waves as they come.

I am always tempted to tell them that I have some games that I found in my parents’ basement from when I was a kid and list a bunch of crap with a few valuable games and ask them what they’d pay just to mess with them.

I love that SoR 4 has pixel characters added to it. I wish it had a pixel mode to play in. I am not a fan of the updated art style of many of these retro games. I tell myself, “that would look look so good if it was like the old 16bit era pixels styles.

Man, I might have to buy those Star Wars games. I bought the digital versions to support more Star Wars games on Switch. @Reed Rothchild I totally agree. That’s why I’m buying these Star Wars games. I really want KOTOR too.

I was hyped for Red Steel before the Wii came out. The game ended up being pretty bad. The motion controls were super disappointing.

Just got a brand new famicom mini. The pictures and description looked fine. When it arrived, the side of the box was torn where they tried to take a sticker off and it had holes in the top and back of the box. I requested a refund and they said no refund. I filed a return and they once again said no refunds. They said they sold a lot of these and that the images on the listing weren’t the actual console. Finally, they offered me $5. What a punk. I’m waiting until eBay can step in to give me a refund. This is trash. I will definitely neg this guy.

I tried Arms for the first time last night and it felt really awkward to hold the joy-cons the way they recommend. Does anybody have any suggestions for how to get comfortable playing this game? Thanks!

Has anyone used the jailbreakS for their Super NT or Mega Sg? I really want to get a rom dumper to back Up my NES, SNES, and Gen and the Retrode 2 is nearly impossible to find at a reasonable price.

Thank you all for the suggestions. I appreciate the general comments about not pushing her or getting frustrated. I also appreciated not trying to get her to like games if she just really isn’t interested. We have really only tried what I mentioned in the first post. She really has no preference other than not wanting to feel overwhelmed. I would say that she will never likely be into gaming, but I’m looking to play with her in a way that she might have fun. I think I have an idea of where to start. I’m going to try Wii Sports because I think she’ll like the casual but energetic experience. 1-2 Switch might be a good idea too. I think Mario Kart might be too hard. I do think playing games where she can be active and lighthearted would appeal to her.

My wife never grew up with video games, and I’m looking for suggestions on how to introduce her to some games so she can feel more comfortable with them. I have tried SMB, Tetris, and Super Mario Kart without success. What games and what approach do you recommend? Should I try something like Wii Sports? Thanks in advance for any suggestions! Edit: In response to what platforms can the recommendations be, anything Nintendo NES or later. I can do vintage or modern games.

Can someone please explain to me why it is a good idea to have a primary in the middle of the apex weeks of this virus? I thought it was stupid when my state, Illinois, had our primaries despite all their other concerns about social distancing. Now, the Governor of Wisconsin was being responsible and the GOP fought it and now they are having their primary today. I’m convinced that it’s almost impossible to be a politician and act in the real interest of the people you are supposed to serve.

Yeah, they definitely feel disappointed. I think the key is that the audience for this mini is less casual than the others and they should have designed it with that in mind. It seems like they just threw in a bunch of games but didn’t try to cater to those wanting to replicate the original experience as faithfully as possible. I plan on cancelling one of my two orders and just keep the one in a box.

They have non motion control options for Odyssey, I think they can make it work.

I really enjoy a lot of his work. Of course, everyone remembers him in the Exorcist, but his role in Minority Report is one of my favorite.
