I’ve been trying to remove permanent marker from some of my NES and SNES cartridges. I’ve seen many suggestions. I ended up using q tips and 99% isopropyl alcohol because I was trying not to alter the surface of the cart. However, it’s not coming completely off and I’ve had to push too hard with the q tip that the surface of an SNES cart became smooth. I know a lot of people swear by dry erase pens, but it’s my understanding that the alcohol in it is what does the trick. Is alcohol alone not sufficient? Do I need to apply it differently? Thanks!

I totally get the EA hesitation, I have reservations myself. However, I trust the publisher and what I’ve seen so far looks pretty good. I also like the time period of the game, I think it should be interesting exploring this part of the SW universe.

I still need to play BoW, but I’m glad to see people feel this way about it. Often, I feel Zelda titles get praise early on and reactions mellow over time.

The game comes out next month and is developed by Respawn Entertainment (Titanfall, Apex Legends, former co-founders of Infinity Ward- Call of Duty) I want a good new Star Wars game so badly, and based on the developer and what I’ve seen, this might be it. I want to like it. I’ve been disappointed by the new trilogy. The FA was too similar to ANH. However, I understand why they did that. However, TLJ pissed me off. How does Finn revert to a coward? His character development in FA was completely shattered. Also, the Reylo thing was good, but I missed seeing Rey really develop as a character. She hardly grew from FA. I think the way they handled Han and Luke were poor and the new characters are uninteresting. For all of their flaws, I think the prequels had better characters and development. Maybe that is to be expected from Disney. That said, I prefer the new ones despite their flaws. Personally, I want to see some kind of twist, not just Reylo teaming up to defeat Palpatine.

I think it would be great to have a meet up and events section to build up the community and awareness of different opportunities to get together. I know people post them randomly or it could be a sticky, but I’d think you’d want to give it some visibility right off the bat when on the homepage. There could be official threads for various events, big events with lots of pics and discussion might draw in more people to check them out.

I think this product will attract some new interest in playing the must have games. You might get people who never played these handhelds before as well as people not really into handhelds originally. I was never really into handhelds, but I think the versatility of this product is amazing and worth the price rather than me buying original hardware. It’s close enough to having the real thing for me. However, I won’t hold my breath on the adapters. They still don’t have the GG adapter for the Mega Sg and took forever to make the DAC.

I’m not really a collector of boxes. I’d love to have all CIB, but I’ve spent my money amassing games since my original pre disc collection was less than 100 games. I’m reaching the end of collecting vintage games, so I will likely move on to current gen games unless I start collecting boxes. With that said, my preference is to have clean boxes. The OCD in me cannot deal with tears or exposed cardboard where the glossy finish is gone. I’d rather not have the box. Then again, I’m the kid who used to use baby wipes to clean his Jordans in elementary school.

I played some crazy Asian 4 player shoot-em up at Galloping Ghost arcade a while back. It was awesome, but I had no clue what was going on, lol.

NW burbs of Chicago, about 40 minutes out of the city I hope to meet some people at MGC next year. I’ve been out of the game for awhile and found out about it too late to get permission from the Mrs.
