  1. This looks like a nice experiment and a day one purchase for me.
  2. It's usually a couple bad apples that ruin it for everybody and jade nurses. I think people who work in pain management are more susceptible than floor nurses but it can happen to anyone. Now that I work in cath lab I usually only use fentanyl and versed for conscious sedation, the only time i use benadryl is for pre treatment for dye allergies or unexpected allergic reactions. I don't miss the floor except for working a couple 12 hour shifts a week. For me it was really only that one patient and a few that already came in that were already opioid dependent that were difficult and even then it doesnt bother me until they start making demands and they start setting their alarms to wake up for their meds.
  3. And for surgical/procedural areas as well... I feel your pain though. I had a patient on our cardiac floor at my last job and I saw that guy 5 times over the course of a 6 month stretch. I'm having chest pain, can you describe it to me and rate it on a scale from 0 to 10. It's always an 8 to 10 even though he's just laying there reading the paper. Well let's start with nitrostat, no that's okay how about that 4 mg of morphine ivp with some benadryl? Keep it coming every 4 hours too and yes I will be f#cking waiting for it rocking the call light at 5 minutes till it's due to remind you!
  4. NWI but I was born and raised in Chicago. I can still drive to the chicago border in literally 4 minutes though.
  5. It looks like kitty has been dipping into D~funk's "cat nip" and whiskey lol.
  6. I saw a post on my Facebook for the 2019 Xmas cart and I'm sure my wife will get it for me for Christmas. I have an AVS and I don't play my NES and Famicom carts on anything else, the picture looks good, sounds good, and I haven't had any problems running any games on it yet. I also have a powerpak but I need to read up on how it works so it's been sitting collecting dust.
  7. My next biggest to video games is firearms, I have stuff from flintlocks, WW1 to current military rifles, shotguns, handguns, ar-15s in 5 different calibers plus multiple different uppers. I haven't gotten any new guns in over a year though because my safes are full and realistically how many guns can you fire at once, the hassle of keeping them clean, storage, ammo prices. After that 80s and 90s action figures: star wars, GI Joe's, Ghostbusters. Video games are probably my second largest after the guns and I'm mostly going for all the NES games except stadium events, homebrews, and games from other systems I'm interested in. And gold, silver, and platinum, bullion and coins, I have quite a bit of that.
  8. I was a automotive tech for almost a decade and then decided I didn't want to work for a living, so now I am a registered nurse. Currently work in the Cardiac Catheterization lab which is pretty cool and requires less physical work than working on the floor.
  9. Awesome, I've been waiting for the regular edition to go with the KS edition. Just ordered.
  10. Yes sir!! How is soul blazer? I need to watch a youtube video of that one, isn't somehow related to actraiser?
  11. 1. Dragon Warrior 4 (NES/DS) 2. Final Fantasy 3 (SNES/GBA) 3. Baldurs Gate (PC/Switch) 4. Baldurs Gate 2 Dark Alliance (Gamecube) 5. Dragon Quest 8 (PS2) Some honorable mentions Skies of Arcadia, Grandia 2, Lufia 1 and 2, Super Mario RPG, Neverwinter Nights, Earthbound, Nier Automata, Final Fantasy 2, Terrinegma and Illusion of Gaia ( kind of hybrid action RPGs), Star Ocean, swords and runes. Those are just from the games I've played but I've heard great things about alot of other RPGs like the Ys series, breath of fire, paladins quest, phantasy star series.
  12. I like variety, I haven't played any RPGs really since beating the new Dragon Quest which is mandatory for me. I need to sit down and finish Earthbound one day. Lately I've been mostly playing platformers and schmups. I've been recently playing Mario bros arcade, castlevania, galaga, and gradius.
  13. My favorite to collect for at the moment are the NES and the switch. I've only recently gotten a Sega Dreamcast as a random purchase at a game store and it's the only Sega I currently own. I really want to try the turbografx because it was all the rage when I was a kid but I didnt know anyone that owned one. I really want to try blazing lazers.
  14. Borderlands 3 PS4, Baldurs Gate 1 + 2 on the switch, and links awakening switch. I'll be taking a break to try Celeste when it comes this week and I'm almost done with Links awakening though.
  15. I've beaten all my favorites but I'll give 3 that I really really like and never beat. Faxanadu, Earthbound, and Legend of Zelda a Link to the past. I'm currently working on Faxanadu and I'm about 1/3rd of the way done. I've come really close to beating Linn to the past multiple times but never took the time to seal the deal. Earthbound, I purchased about 18 months ago and I have to say I love this RPG but it's such a grind at times and as an adult working 50 hours a week and with 3 kids I often have to take breaks for up to weeks at a time in between sessions and for the life of me I can never remember what the hell I was supposed to be doing.
  16. I don't really understand the sealed hype. I have some CIB games for the artwork and maps and stuff but if I buy Something I want to be able to play it too. Is CIB on the rise as well? Or is relegated to the slabbed sealed games only? I mostly collect loose games ( yeah I'm a peasant ) and I've noticed a trend of price drops on loose games even the rarer games. I've been picking some up at prices 18 months ago I would have never expected. I got a fire and ice a few months ago for 90 and a north vs south at a brick and mortar for 25 plus tax. Not ridiculous deals but prices I wasn't expecting.
  17. I've been waiting on celeste for awhile now because it kept getting pushed but my backlog is so long I don't really care when it arrives. My switch has been getting so much play I might have to buy a new one soon as I just busted open a new set of joy cons 2 weeks ago due to drift.
  18. I didn't realize there were that many guides for the NES, I knew there were a couple and obviously Nintendo Power. Nice job on the list.
  19. I totally agree with the box protector sentiment as they always make the boxes look better for display. Also I believe the protectors also protect the boxes from any fading on top of adding protection from physical damage.
  20. Awesome job everyone, nice to see alot of the members from the old site making it over.
