NCFOM has my single favorite scene from a Coen bros movie. The tenseness here is off the charts.

Netflix used just this scene in its entirety as the "trailer" for NCFOM. The movie had been on my to-do list since it came out, but that just convinced me to watch it right away.

I've seen most of them.  Definitely need to get around to the last few.  It's really tough not to vote for Big Lebowski.  It's def the favorites, but I think Blood Simple is their best movie.

I watched Buster Scruggs on a whim and was surprised how good it was not realizing it was a Coen Bros. film.

Curious what's next for these special movie debates.

We gonna get a Wes Anderson, Denis Villeneuve, Martin Scorsese, David Lynch,Stanley Kubrick, or Terry Gilliam thread?

Maybe all six.

I'm pretty sure it's Coreys movies next.

The Coen brothers are consistently good!
Here's a few classic scenes:

John Goodman is a national treasure.

Missed this one. I've seen about half of their movies and have enjoyed all of them for different reasons. I do need to finish off the rest of their catalogue at some point.

It was a tough choice between Fargo and No Country for Old Men. Ultimately I went for No Country for Old Men because they absolutely nailed the conversion from book to movie and I'm also a big Cormac McCarthy fan (RIP 😞 )

Just watched No Country for Old Men again the other night and love that movie. Awesome pacing, tension, story etc. Probably my favourite over Big Lebowski, which is great but has a few parts where it falls off a bit. I really liked True Grit, Fargo and Burn After Reading as well. Hudsucker Proxy was absolutely terrible.. maybe one of the most boring movies I've ever seen.
