Here is the link from my local news station. It gives a clearer picture of what went down but still doesn't say who the owners are (smart to remain anonymous) and which store that closed in the 90's (I'm guessing it was a Game Doctors). 

If I was the owners of the games I'd shut this publicity down so fast and get to work. But also, this makes me want to buy storage lockers around here, haha.

I think explaining i wasn't profiting, had no influence, or no ill-intentions may have taken the heat off. Fiance wants me to just ignore all of it, and stay off online forna while, but then what if someone had something I just had to get. Real-life equivalent of losing 4 hours sleep I'd  justify it if I snagged a 64 controller nintendo brand for ten bucks. Tell your significant other that they gave you the best advice that could be offered. From a guy who dealt with this type of behavior both offline and online. For most, and thankfully not all, of my life.

All I will say is that the combination of both my past and my current limitations today tend to make being here hard. One scenario had me give up on my Dragon Quest goals. And another, where I thought I was responding to a generic question had me take a break. Then take it a step further and block the topic while telling myself that I do not belong in that category of collectors. Atop of the times I changed collecting goals just to have a reason to stay here.

In the end, take the break. And when you return just remember that I have advice I can offer if you ever want to hear it.

That is all I will say because I went from posting an article tied to this to reading the responses. With those responses making me resent the fact that people will use any excuse to be assholes. Thus why I did not post it here.

So do what works for you in both the mental and emotional health department. I'll hope that my sanity is still intact when you decide to return.

I kinda thought collectors stuck together, I was very vague about the video, completely true, if this was the only place this was released, again aside from my little group, and he made somehow infinite amount of money, there wouldn't be any profit share, he would not pay Me,   there wouldn't even be a shoutout. I don't need to sell stuff, anything currently comes up because I'm not holding a  2-7 offsuit because there might be other ways to dig up some cash as my nestegg  Is enough to support me for probably 2 months.  And I can get back on my feet. 

 

Maybe people have had their issues with him, ill admit I myself have sent messages to him about this and for whatever it's worth he says he is working on it. 

 Now  a True story

 It's 2013, wife's gone , life isn't looking great, every dime goes to bills, you have a friend who understands bringing in your very high end games you worked forever for but is incredibly rare and IS WORRIED FOR YOU, you couldn't trade me at a 10 times  profit and look me in the eye. Now back to me and you are stunned, it's  incredible someone pays you 2-3 dollars under market price in the store  when no game store in existence would/could pay/afford that margin, one guy did, and It wasn't the friendly  guy who told me I Could go F**k myself for sharing what I thought was a neat video.  And while this really sucks, I am not,  will not apologize . It was done because kindness in any form needs to be remembered, pay it back anyway you can. so try to get an extra maybe ten more views on a video and a few people thinking that this  was also neato. But no, you are scum.

The game next to it is Pataank which was on 3DO - guessing that the games are grouped by format the game is likely Advanced Dungeons and Dragons:  Slayer which was also a 3DO game.
