  1. Mine finally arrived last night, I don't know why it took so much longer for mine than yours. 75% of them had nice, tight sliders but a few did just fall out when I tipped them. That's not too much of a big deal, they'll be sitting stationary on the shelf and not moving around at all. I did initially try to insert a new box for Assimilate (NES) which I got from retrousb.com and it would not fit. The acrylic case caught the edge of the box and just scraped the ink right off of it, I have 2 white marks at the top of the box now. Not a big deal, I already have another box for that, that was free. Then I started putting vintage NES boxes into them and they fit way better. Some were a little tight, especially my fully complete Ducktales 2 with cartridge baggie. I was a little afraid that one may never come back out again but after a few whacks against my hand, the weight of the item started sliding it out bit by bit. I'm confident I could get it out if I wanted to. The scariest one was my Sqoon box which is in superb condition and still has the shrinkwrap on it. The wrap caught initially until I put it in on an angle and then slid it in. It did cause the wrap to be pulled down a little bit in the case but only on the back and I can live with that. Otherwise it fit in there fine. I did try putting in Kid Klown for which I do not have a cartridge, only the box and I didn't feel comfortable with that. I felt like if I pushed it up into the case without a heavy cartridge inside, I'd never be able to whack it back out so I wasn't able to put that one in. All the rest were fine, I'll take a photo once my phone's new screen protector dries. For $17 CAD per piece, I would recommend these. They're definitely not as nice as the one other one I have from somewhere else but when I looked on that company's website, they were about $25 each. Total cost for 15 NES and 6 SNES with PayPal fee and conversion to CAD was $354.03.
  2. I didn't get it neither initially but if a game is readily available on shelves at Wal-Mart, resellers and collectors aren't going to bother much with titles of which they have never heard. That game may sell 6000 copies. Now if a publishing company states they're only going to make 7000 copies, they will probably sell the additional 1000 to resellers and collectors. Many people in this thread have fully admitted to buying a game without even knowing if they want it and I've read others mentioning they will return it if it doesn't resell.
  3. It isn't one controller, it's still 2 separate controllers, they're just joined in the middle. You don't need to have a layered board, you can just cut the sides off 2 controllers and glue them together. The boards will overlap, if they even reach each other. It's unlikely they'll even touch.
  4. So why is he wondering about wiring? There isn't any wiring to do, you just plug both controllers into the system.
  5. That's not the same thing. I'm wondering why you want to put 2 controllers into one wire when the games you mentioned have native support for 2 separate controllers plugged into 2 separate ports.
  6. Why did you ban me from bidding on your eBay auctions just because I asked a few questions about the items?
  7. I can check when I get home. I know Dr. Mario had it also. Dragon Warrior too I think.
  8. I'm the same as Kiersten, I had no idea the Turtles were different besides their weapons. I thought Raphael and Michelangelo were disposable because their weapons sucked and just got in the way of you using Leonardo or Donatello.
  9. This is the only way it works. I've tried to file a claim before but they told me only the shipper can file.
  10. There are 12 different Super Mario Bros. NES (USA specific) variants and the first 6 had hangtab boxes. I'm guessing you're talking about the plastic hangtab on the shrink wrap, this should definitely be removed but I would leave that up to WATA to remove as they will use proper chemicals that won't damage the wrap. I've taken off a few but plastic is porous so the chemical can go through the wrap and get on the cardboard easily. If you're talking about the cardboard hangtab, then the only way you'd be able to access that is if you have a sticker sealed variant without shrinkwrap. In this case I would suggest not ruining a $100,000 item. Otherwise, congratulations on 9 year old you putting a house down payment in a lunchbox for future you.
  11. a) I ordered 21 of these the same day as you and they haven't even shown up in Canada Post's tracking system yet. b) I ordered 21 of these and I feel like I won't even want them now.
  12. It's painful trying to decipher the plethora of spelling and grammar mistakes. Do you see all those red lines under the words you type? Try making them go away, they represent spelling mistakes. Unless they changed it recently, the seller has to make the claim, not the buyer, FedEx will only deal with the shipper for insurance so you asked him to do something you should have done. And I guess you saying you would insure the package is enough that he should have believed you. You're right, next time I do a $500 deal with someone across the country whom I've never met, I'll believe everything they tell me. It must be true. Stepping back into reality, if I did such a large deal with a stranger, I don't care what they told me. I would file a claim with PayPal until they do the work to figure it out. Make the claim, send me the claim release, do whatever it is you have to do to get yourself out of this mess. As long as I'm covered either way, I'm not concerned about it. Now if there's some way I, as the buyer, can help you, let me know but if FedEx won't deal with me then I don't have a lot of options. You have to see the logic in his actions that he didn't want to allow the possibility of missing the opportunity for a PayPal claim and also being stuck with you lying about the insurance. I'm not mad at you, it's just irresponsible for you to expect him to believe a stranger. I don't understand why you can't call up FedEx and get the money from the insurance, it's not like you're out anything. That's what insurance is for.
  13. I've been using the SN30 for a year without the issues to which you refer. Mine works perfectly fine.
  14. It seems like the application doesn't have access to that data, it runs its own counter. I've tried this before.
  15. I want to make sure I understand this correctly. 1. You solicit this guy to do a deal outside of eBay which is against eBay's terms of service and user agreement, effectively giving them reason to close your account and ban you from future deals. 2. The guy contacts you to do something about his problem and you don't do anything because you're on vacation. If you're running a business, you need to make sure someone is able to handle it while you're away. You should have had someone else contacting FedEx and working on it. 3. The guy files a PayPal claim to make sure he gets covered because he doesn't know for sure if FedEx insured the package or not and you refuse to send him the claim release until he drops the claim. But if he drops the claim, he has no proof you'll send the release. I have to say I would have done exactly what he did, make sure I was covered, either by FedEx or by PayPal. And if you refuse to help me get the money back from FedEx, well you can pay for it then. I really don't understand what it is you expected him to do differently.
  16. They gave a A++ grade to a quarter inch sticker? I don't think that should be subject to the same grading scale as a complete cellophane wrap.
  17. How does a game without a seal get a A++ seal grade?
  18. Can you let me know if you find any more? I need all 4 of them.
  19. Be careful, a lot of cats wander around all day but are owned by someone. My neighbour lets his cat out every morning and calls it back in every night, even through Canadian winters like today. It followed me to my door a few times and looked like it wanted to come in but I knew he'd be looking for it soon.
  20. Well there were 1500 games released for the Famicom and 700 for the NES. That leaves you with about 800 games to find gems.
