  1. Interesting explanation but they're not supposed to be grading collectibility, they're supposed to be grading the item on damage and a signature, whether authentic or not, is damage. So what if I have the guy that did the graphics sign it? What about the guy that applied the cellophane wrapping? Arguably either of those people have more of a direct connection to the game than someone that merely licensed their likeness for the photo on the box. Would their signatures reduce the grade? What if it wasn't a signature but instead them writing their grocery list, would that reduce grade? I don't think it should matter if it's authentic, they need to keep a constant grading scale, not reduce grades for some writing but not for others. Damage should be universal.
  2. Any marker is the same, why wouldn't it lower the grade? Wow, another grading mistake by WATA. I'd be super pissed if I had bought this, having a grading system allows people to buy a game without having to see it first. If I'm told there is a 9 / 10 for sale in a game I want, then I can offer an amount for it without needing to see it first. If this arrived in the mail I would send it back. So now I need to see the grade and also see the game to verify for myself that someone didn't write on it? That's ridiculous, any sports grading system will lower the grade of a card with a signature, even verified. I assume it's the same for comics but I'm not actually sure. Am I the only one amazed by this?
  3. Nobody answered me. How did a box with marker on the front get graded a 9? I'm guessing the box wasn't perfect in ever other way and if it was, I'd expect a large portion of silver marker to take off more than a point. Is it graded out of 10?
  4. I read somewhere that the 5 screw without a back label were refurbished.
  5. How did it get graded a 9 with writing on it?
  6. PHP $fizz = $input % 3 ? "" : "fizz"; $buzz = $input % 5 ? "" : "buzz"; echo $fizz . " " . $buzz;
  7. Near mint? The whole corner is crushed. If that corner was perfect I would consider it near mint.
  8. The codes are actually NES-BK-USA-1, not NES-BK-1-USA.
  9. I struggled with this as well, my girlfriend is a working professional and never played any games growing up. She has expressed an interest in sharing my interests so we decided to work together in finding games we would both like and we found a few you may want to try. She really liked these: - All Lego games, they're actually really good. We finsiehd all of them on the PlayStation 2, Wii and Switch. - Unravel Two, one of the best games I've ever played. - Luigi's Mansion 3 (playing now) - All Super Mario Bros. games on the Wii and Switch. - Overcooked!
  10. No, I'm talking about employers, not employees. Here there are government programs for employers to only have to pay partial employee wages and the government supplements the rest to try and reduce lays off. It also back dates so you can get the percentage for last month as well.
  11. Do they have government programs there? I know here we have lots of ways our government is helping. Mortgage companies are delaying payments, so are utilities. Evictions have been banned and employee incomes have been supplemented. Employers only have to pay 25% while the government is supplementing the other 75% so why aren't they taking advantage of any programs their government is offering? Or maybe they are.
  12. I have been keeping track of every game at my site www.nestalgia.ca so you can check there if you want. Go to Consoles at the top, then click a game name to see what we have accounted for.
  13. This is definitely being described as something other than what I got out of the description on Netflix. I glanced at it and kept going, thinking it looked dumb.
  14. Has anyone followed the references to see where this even came from and how credible it is? I'm pretty skeptical about this ever happening.
  15. One step at a time. Let's teach people how to price their own games without having to post a photo of a 30 game lot from 15 feet away, asking if they should buy it for $10.
  16. This makes a lot of sense and actually explains some typed up Ninja Gaiden tips I found a few months ago. Probably the same thing.
  17. Does anyone know where I can find this book? I found this in the manual for the game and I'm wondering if anyone actually sent in for this book. I'd like to buy a copy of it.
  18. Can anyone explain this? Why doesn't it have a seal of quality on it?
  19. Why not take the photo in the correct orientation? Lots of times when people place something on the floor or a table and then point their phone down to take a photo of it, they're tiling the top of their phone down too far so the accelerometer in the phone detects that as the lowest point in the photo. Then you upload the photo here and it reads the accelerometer data, flipping the photo upside down. Try slightly tilting your phone the other way when taking the photo, there's even an on screen image on your phone telling you which way is up while you're taking the photo. Sometimes I have to pull the phone back to re-orient it and then try again.
  20. If the light is about to turn red, all walk signals should be off.
  21. People need to be spending right now or the business you enjoy will not be open next month. Last night my girlfriend and I went to our favourite sushi restaurant and took it home to eat. It's our favourite restaurant in the city and it's owned by just one guy so I really, really want to make sure they stay open through this. If you have a business you want to support, go there and buy something, or buy something from them online, even if it's just a gift card to use later. They need the money to pay their bills.
  22. Agricultural building construction. We have had 3 buildings ready to be sold this week and the customers all cancelled because they weren't sure if they would have a job next week. Our buildings are about $200,000 each so it's putting a big strain on our daily costs of operation with crews across the country. I won't be going anywhere, I manage the software and IT portion of the company and have been with them for 11 years, I'm one of the largest revenue generators here. And I just bought a Porsche 2 months ago so here's to hoping....... It's hitting all industries, almost our entire office is working from home now to stop the spread of the virus, it's only my team and a few others left in the building. Because of this we aren't printing hardly anything daily now so our leased printers aren't being used much which means the company we lease the printers from is taking a big hit. I talked to our printer company yesterday and they let go half of their staff because the revenue isn't coming in from the printers just sitting idle. (We pay 1 cent per black print and 10 cents per colour print). Restaurants are all shut down and a lot of them will have to close and never reopen, I have a feeling this will be even worse than 2008. So yes, I think a lot of people will be jobless in the next 3 weeks or working at a reduced pay so their companies can stay open. Then all the games will go on the market to pay the bills. I know my Bitcoin dropped $4000 in one day so I effectively lost a large portion of my investments. I'm confident it'll eventually get back where it was though, maybe after a year. P.S. I'm buying any higher end NES or Atari 2600 games if you need to make a quick sale at a reduced price.
  23. We laid off 20% of our staff on Monday and other companies I spoke with have gone as high as 50%. I highly suspect prices will drop a lot as people try unloading their games to cover bills.
