  1. With Konami putting out a bunch of collection games you'd think it would be easy to put out a "Rebirth Collection" with all three games.
  2. I've played a lot of different games and most new games don't interest me, so easy answer.
  3. They did a bunch of follow-up 3D games on PS2 and later...you haven't tried those? Or you feel they went in a different direction? I loved the GBA/DS games. They all were great (to varying degrees). Order of Ecclesia is one of the best games I've ever played and certainly the best DS game overall.
  4. Sad that these were made instead of a follow-up to Symphony of the Night. The usual N64/Playstation combination of ugly graphics, poor controls, maddening camera, and lots of empty spaces to run around in versus the awesome action of the 2D games. At least the music is quite good, otherwise even as a massive Castlevania fan I probably couldn't have made it to the end of the first game.
  5. For me N64 probably would capture 8-9 of the top 10 combined, but Symphony of the Night would be number one. I can't think of another Playstation game I'd give even 9/10 to besides Symphony.
  6. Big fan of the series, although I haven't had a chance to pick up 4 yet. They improved dramatically in each sequel, so 3 is definitely the best game (at least before 4). However, 1 and 2 are also super fun and I recommend them. I'd start at the beginning and play through in order - unless you don't want to spend that much time, in which case I'd start with the incredible Pikmin 3. Also, I recommend Pikmin 3 on Wii U if you can since the Gamepad allows for superior control and situational awareness compared to a Switch.
  7. Great game, but unfortunately less great than Contra and Super C.
  8. Sure they care. They want as many listed as possible so they can rake in the fees. Otherwise, not in the slightest.
  9. Was coming into the thread to say 1942 and not surprised it was one of the first mentioned. Remember, that same crap "music" lasts for all 32 stages if you can survive (I have and will never again!).
  10. Grabbed one. I was pretty angry about the $34 shipping before reading what our Canadian friends have to put up with here. I have to say, if it was $80 that would have been a deal-breaker for me, how utterly ludicrous. But excited to get my hands on one of these!
  11. 8. Yeah that's a bit generous, probably 7 except I've played the Genesis version to death and enjoyed it a lot. I can use the beasts to good effect and rarely use jumping attacks, go figure. The extra level and boss in the Genesis version are good bonuses, although the level could have been designed better. I've beaten the arcade version of this game on one quarter. Love that the game gives you a grade upon beating it or game over!
  12. Nothing specifically, just everything about it is better - plays way better, designed way better, looks better, sounds better, more interesting setting...I can't really think of anything I'd say Zelda II does better except the terrible password system Battle of Olympus uses instead of allowing saves.
  13. Definitely Battle of Olympus for NES. If you haven't played it, do yourself a favor and do so ASAP - it's similar to Zelda II in style, except Zelda II can't hold its jockstrap. Since people are mentioning more than one and always when people ask about this my mind goes to the massive stack of NES games in this category, I'll also say Mendel Palace. Just a fun game all around and nobody ever mentions it.
  14. I think X-Wing on the PC. The game is a masterpiece and I played it (along with the sequel, TIE Fighter) to death.
  15. Are they aware there was already a Beyond Shadowgate game made? Is this going to be a different game or a NES-ified version of the Duo game?
  16. These look great! Are there holes or slots in the back for wires, so you can keep the consoles hooked up while covering them?
  17. 9/10, My favorite Dreamcast game. Love the setting, missions, awesome music, fun characters, and it controls and plays great for the most part (occasional camera issues and such are why it's not a 10 for me). The cel-shaded graphics are done in a style that keep it from looking dated, much like people perceive Wind Waker's look. Definitely I highly recommend this game for anyone that is the least bit interested!
  18. At least FF had the excuse that FF3 was the third game released in North America. The SMA stuff is just dumb.
  19. Mostly yes. There are a handful of games for a couple of systems I'd like to get to finish those off. I wouldn't mind getting NES and Genesis boxes/manuals I don't have but have the games for, although with today's prices I doubt I'll find that worthwhile. But with the way pretty much every game is drastically altered via downloaded updates/additions I just can't see it being worth pursuing a new system again, even if there are physical games available.
  20. I'll just do the ones I got when they were still making games for them. Atari VCS: Combat NES: Super Mario Bros/Duck Hunt, Castlevania, Marble Madness SNES: Super Mario World, Castlevania IV Game Gear: Hard to remember but I think Shinobi (and Columns came with it?) Playstation: geez, hard to remember...I want to say NBA Jam TE and the early tennis game (a horrible game that was then returned)...terrible system, terrible games I guess N64: Super Mario 64, NBA Hangtime Dreamcast: Jet Grind Radio, Virtua Tennis Gameboy Advance: Castlevania Circle of the Moon Gamecube: Luigi's Mansion, Star Wars Rogue Squadron II DS: Metroid Prime Hunters demo, Feel the Magic, Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow Wii: Wii Sports Wii U: Nintendoland, New Super Mario Bros. U 3DS: a bunch of games although it was well into its life when I got one. I want to say New Super Mario Bros. 2, Super Mario 3D Land, Fire Emblem Awakening? Switch: Zelda Breath of the Wild, 1-2-Switch
  21. Sorry, I meant a physical cartridge for the NES.
