  1. All right decided to list the ones for other systems. Hopefully I get them all Cosmic Ark (Atari VCS) X-Wing (PC) TIE Fighter (PC) Super Mario World (SNES) Secret of Mana (SNES) Zelda LTTP (SNES) Super Castlevania IV (SNES) Soul Blazer (SNES) Street Fighter II (arcade) NBA Hangtime (arcade/N64) Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (PS1) Super Smash Bros. Melee (GC) Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow (DS) Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia (DS) Mario Kart 8 (Wii U) Pikmin 3 (Wii U) I think that's about it. Maybe one or two others.
  2. It's funny you view it that way because 3 is my favorite and one I'd give 10/10. I played the hell out of it, including tons of fun getting the best times in the multiplayer challenges (one of the few games I ever considered DLC for). Hoping for a sequel at some point - it was a long time between 2 and 3.
  3. I'll stick to NES only, although that's a much longer list than any other system: Castlevania Castlevania III Contra Super C Mega Man 2 Mega Man 3 DuckTales Super Mario Bros. Super Mario Bros. 3 The Battle of Olympus Ninja Gaiden Ninja Gaiden II Dr. Mario I'm pretty picky with the 10s though. Most systems have either zero or one 10/10 game, for example Playstation with Symphony of the Night.
  4. Maybe I missed them on the list, but Family Guy had Tecmo Bowl and Double Dribble footage:
  5. A couple Capcom ones since I've been playing some Little Nemo recently...
  6. 10. Definitely one of my favorites of all time and earns a spot in my NES top 10 (there's a lot of competition!). I love pretty much everything about this game and I've beaten it more times than I can count. The pogo mechanic feels really nice to control and defeating enemies is really satisfying. Being a huge fan of the show all the references are icing on a quite delicious cake.
  7. As someone who places the NES at its rightful place as the best system ever, it's strange to say that I've never been a huge fan of the original LoZ. I did play it back in the day and didn't have a lot of fun with it. Zelda II was a poor game compared to the masterful Battle of Olympus. All that changed with LttP. I wasn't even interested in LttP although I did have a SNES. One day in IIRC Software Etc. there was set up a SNES demo running the game. I didn't even realize it was a Zelda game until after trying it for a while, and even that brief time convinced me I had to have it. I bought the game as soon as possible after that. And was not disappointed. LttP improves in every way on the first in the series and was an incredible experience (and still is). It remains my favorite Zelda game and my little sister's favorite game ever. All of the secrets and little added touches all over the place in the game were just tons of fun to find and figure out, and I just can't say enough good about it - the look of the game, the memorable music, of course the spot-on controls & just plain fun play style. Always a 10 for me no question and a game I recommend to all.
  8. Hi all, I've gotten boxes from NES-City.com before for homebrew games and translations/conversions of Famicom games and the like, but it seems to me like they are defunct? Is there a good place where people know where to buy this sort of thing these days? Not asking for copies of boxes actual U.S.-released games, just conversions like Ufouria, Getsu Fuuma Den, etc. Thanks!
  9. Good games but neither are in my top 5 N64 games, honestly.
  10. 10. By far the best Playstation game and one of the greatest games ever made. Yes, it borrows somewhat from games like Metroid but it's very distinctive in its own right, and the gameplay and certainly the music deserve special mention. Anyone have a favorite track from the masterful soundtrack? Mine is:
  11. 10/10. Getting good enough to blow through even later levels while slicing enemies to bits and bouncing off walls just feels so good whenever I have the pleasure of playing NG. Definitely one of the best around from any era. Never played the 2004 version yet, although someday I'm sure I will.
  12. I still remember being in awe of the very cool opening movie...and picking up my copy on the day of release!
  13. That's an achievement to be proud of! So very awesome to hear someone getting through them all - I know there are a lot that I just would never have the patience to go through (such as the JRPGs...zzz). Really interested to hear which you feel are the most challenging as you have a unique perspective.
  14. Flintstones 2. No other complete sets, although Just Dance 2019 would complete a Wii U set. I haven't been too impatient in getting it though
  15. Yeah I've looked many times before without success. Appreciate the reply! It's too bad nobody has made an investment in it, since a bunch of TurboChip games never came with cases to begin with and many of them were broken/thrown out over the years.
  16. Hey all - I wondered if anyone knew of a good place to get replacement cases for TurboGrafx-16 games and cases for the many games that didn't come with a case. I see some on Etsy for $25 but that makes no sense to me as an option because you could just buy a cheap game for less than that and have a real case. I'd love to find a place to purchase some if anyone knows someone who has them available or makes them. Thanks!
  17. 2D easily for me. However, there are some genres where I feel 3D clearly enables a superior game such as flight or driving sims for example.
  18. 1. Dreadfully boring back in the day, possibly even more dreadfully boring today. Spending large portions of gameplay time navigating menus while spending hours grinding repetitively in a game that takes no skill whatsoever is not my idea of fun.
