  1. Well it does have Vanilla Ice. Also, it's a 90s remake of Rebel Without a Cause. I think if it had more serious actors and wasn't used as a showcase for Ice's rapping/dancing, it could've been an acclaimed film. Even so I think it holds its own. But don't get me wrong, it's perfect fodder for RiffTrax.
  2. Always liked em but never picked up an album. Probably a little overexposure on the radio. 7
  3. How dare you pit my crush on Cyndi Lauper against the Phils' soulful pop stylings of Easy Lover?! I refuse to vote.
  4. Im bout a 50/50 shot on if I preorder or not. Got a lot going on this summer and I'm cutting back on my frivolous spending at the mo. Ah who am I kidding? I'll probably just throw it on the credit card.
  5. Pretty sure it's Dragon Warrior you's guys.
  6. @Taiwan members. I am looking for a specific type of indigenous succulent plant. If anyone can get their hands on one I'd be happy to trade some worthless Famicom bootlegs or garbage N64 games. Thanks!
  7. Yes, oem controller on AVS. I'd actually rate the control of the paintbrush as pretty tight. The arrow icon lets you control the direction of the brush and you kind of steer it as it draws rather than directly drawing with the pencil icon which limits you to the 8 way dpad directions. That's how I achieved perspective of the railing and avoided the 45 degree angle limitations. You can slow it down quite a bit for more minute detail. I also drew it with this color palette. It's fairly pastel but was actually the closest to the local color of the painting.
  8. 9. It's really good but a little long for my attention sp
  9. I can't really think of any either. I was pretty deliberate with what I rented. Fester's Quest or Who Framed Roger Rabbit were probably the bottom tier of stuff I rented and I would make sure to get my money's worth. How about favorite rentals that you never ended up buying? I'm sure i rented the Road Rash series for Genesis enough times to actually purchase a copy.
  10. @CasualCart Primarily my love of Pink Floyd is a musical one. Their deep and heady space rock really speaks to me and they do these amazing funky breakdowns in the middle of many of my favorite tunes. Specifically check out the jam around the 7 minute mark here in Echoes. I love guitar and organ jams that were popular in the 60s/70s and this is my favorite one. Musically, I consider Meddle, Dark Side of the Moon, and Animals to be their best work and a trilogy of sorts, though Animals is more closely related to Wish You Were Here and The Wall. Starting with Wish You Were Here, the Floyd start to explore some darker themes of loss and detachment that become increasingly depressing and culminating with the tragic masterpiece that is The Wall and The Final Cut as a dénouement/epilogue of the series of albums. Wish You Were Here and Animals are highly enjoyable and I listen to them both with some frequency, however The Wall is a little too emotionally intense and I rarely listen to it unless the mood strikes. I also dig a lot of their early stuff too. Piper at the Gates of Dawn is a great mix of pop and psychedelic rock of the period. And like @Tabonga, I am big fan of Ummagumma, though I probably enjoy the studio side a little more. Critics (and the Floyd themselves) panned the album as being pretentious and self indulgent with no direction, which kind of makes sense given the particular history of the band. Here they are just after losing former lead singer/songwriter Syd Barret and yet performing some of his songs on the live side of the album. The studio side is made up entirely of individual solo projects of each band member. The tracks have a very experimental/psychedelic flavor to them but could certainly be viewed as self indulgent. But The Floyd have always held some pretense in my eyes, constantly experimenting with sound. It kind of comes with the territory of being an arthouse psychedelic space rock band from the 60s. Finally, to answer to the question of nostalgia, Pink Floyd does take on some pretty great nostalgia for me. I, like many, discovered them in high school and my first album was the recently released double live Pulse, given to me by my girlfriend at the time as a birthday present. I've replaced the batteries but it still blinks. It was all downhill after that.
  11. You could make a poll on who the next poll maker should be. I nominate Jeeves.
  12. I'm mildly interested but honestly, my DS days are probably over.
  13. So I took the day off and went to see Back to the Future at the theater. It was phenomenal and I had the whole place to myself. And I'm still noticing little things here and there. This go round I noticed... When Marty meets up with Doc at the mall he starts to ask about his hazmat suit, "Hey Doc, is that a Devo‐" Doc: "Not now!" I don't know why but I never caught the Devo reference before. There's a lot of repeated lines from past to present. The one that I never previously caught is when Marty returns and is telling his parents how great they look. "Mom, you look so thin!" Which is what he previously told her in 1955 when he is struggling to not tell her that she looks hot. Finally, the greatest insight I had was surrounding Marty telling Doc about his dad laying out Biff and that he had previously never never hit anyone. Doc says, "He's never done that before?" (Punched someone.) Then he has a concerned look for a moment. We all know things turn out better for the family in the present but the real implication is that Marty becomes too confident (assertive) in future. Remember, he is actually afraid of rejection of his demo tape in the beginning, an inherited trait from his dad. So in 1955 Marty stands up to Biff in the school cafeteria and Biff calls him chicken but Marty isn't triggered and doesn't really respond. He is already sticking up for his mom at that point anyway. But in the sequels, he can't walk away from the taunt and always replies that "Nobody calls me chicken[or yellow]!" And it always gets him in trouble (though he learns his lesson for a moment at the end of part II and avoids the accident resulting from the race with Needles). So yeah, still a 10.
  14. 3. I actually like the Andy Kaufman song. But they deserve a 1 for Shiny Happy People. Geachh!
  15. Morphcat has long since stated that SBP will not be further developed. I'm referring to the the bonus content that was part of the original physical release.
  16. Would be amazing if it was the full rom with the bonus. I'll probably order either way.
  17. Damn dude. I feel like getting ahold of a NTSC Nintendo woukd be a little easier than procuring 3 copies of Star Keeper to just not play them.
