  1. This is exactly how I feel, gba modding has been popular for the last few years and the price of carts hasn't really moved. I think that most people that would spend the money on the analogue would have enough to also get an everdrive. Regardless the analogue gb just looks so sweeeeet!!
  2. Yeah the battery thing was always the killer for me haha, got a wall wart though!!
  3. I grew up with gameboy, so I definitely feel the virtual boy sentiments - played the demo units at stores but never owned. One dayyyyy. Also game gear, always wanted one but never took the plunge. I just found a gamegear a few months back that works great so Ima dip my toes into that library. Also famicom disk system and neo geo
  4. Yeah I can tell, those are really nice and stack together perfectly. The Cadillac of totes hahah. I had a variety of different sized totes and they were a pain in the ass to get stacked nicely so I switched to the boxes and they're pretty easy to pull out and sort through.
  5. Picked these up today, also not pictured Sonic mania plus for switch with the artbook
  6. Haha you are not alone
  7. Everyone's got such nice setups! Here's a few of mine Next goal is getting new shelving, I have too much stuff in storage boxes
  8. Oof that won sticker is sweeeeet
  9. Hi! Welcome! Life always has a funny way of throwin curveballs.
  10. Thanks everyoneee Are console mods/modding something that people are into round here? Edit: I guess I should be more specific, cosmetic, custom controllers or hardware mods (vga, etc) that kinda stuff - not hacking modern hardware for piracy
  11. Woo woo, I have so many $$$ games left to get but have most of my favorites so I guess I'm not mad to only be like 1/3 of the way there. Good luck on yer journey, are you doing labels on the top?
  12. That's a mighty fine crate of tapes you got theeereee
  13. Great games!! Nice pickup, get a replacement cover for the expansion bay!!
  14. Track jackets were pretty hip at the time, that's definitely the branding for nes Zelda, not windwaker. I'ma guess it was a licensed thing sold at like hot topic or maybe official Nintendo store or something. Are there any other labels inside?
  15. Japan uses 110v, us uses 120v. The 10v difference is safe and the console itself will work with either the us or jpn power supply.
  16. Heads up, jpn and ntsc game saves don't play nice on the same memory card. Which is to say, if you want to play Japanese games and save them you'll need a separate mem card.
  17. I have been heavy on the nostalgia collecting lately honestly. Nes and snes were my childhood but never had either till after their lifespan, only at friends houses. Lot of memories with the n64 so I decided to go boxed, cib for games I really like. I was really into the original Xbox back in its lifespan and was a staff member of a smallish Xbox forum that allowed me access to go to e3 in 2005 so I have plenty of good memories there too. Also lots of Gamecube, especially Japan imports. I really want to get into famicom stuff, especially the disk system. Love the design.
  18. Hey Everybody! I lurked na for years then signed up in 2016 but still didn't post much. I'ma try and maybe be a little more social on here? Anywho, excited to see the site thrive. I started my collecting journey in the late 90s early '00 as a teen. When the prices of games I had played as a kid dropped I started buying anything game related from thrift stores and yard sales as so many others did. As a young adult, I continued with the latest systems and was heavy into the xbox, GameCube, ps2 era. Then life got in the way. I ended up moving x x times and got sick of hauling heavy games I never had time to play and sold a majority minus a few personal favorites. I pretty much stepped away from gaming during the Wii, 360, PS3 days and until 2015 finally realized how stupid I was from neglecting my passion. So anyways, I'm focusing on some full sets and some systems just the exclusives, rpgs or what looks fun. I am really into Japan exclusives and fan translations even though I don't understand the language it's awesome to have a whole library of stuff you never played as a kid. Full sets: boxed n64 games (at 90ish ntsc, 40ish jpn), original Xbox (almost halfway there around 400) Everything else: GameCube (jpn and us), switch, Gameboy loose, snes loose, Ps2, ps3, Wii, 360 (cuz I gotta catch up)
