  1. Mario/ nintendo plushies. My son love the bad guys and my daughter loves the good guys. Also, board games. We went through most of the classics and might start bringing in the more challenging ones in a year.
  2. Crystalis just got released on Switch online. I'm so stoked right now!
  3. Movie- Girl, interrupted Game- Either smash ultimate or Puyo Puyo champions. Been practicing cloud mainly on smash ultimate
  4. Hard to do this in 10 games. This might be a 2 parter. 1 Socrates. My first gaming console was called a Socrates. Just a simple console that follows a robot with educational games about math, science and geography. It was kind of like a primitive leap frog system. I always had that feeling of accomplishment when I completed games and answered questions correctly. Mega Man 4 Before my family had an nes, I had the chance to play one in the big kids room when i was in day care. This was the game that was in the console at the time. Nobody could get far in that game. I watched someone get pretty far in skull man's level, when it was my turn, I did the same thing he did, but got a game over before I made it to the boss. 3. Shadow Blasters Sega genesis Me and my sister killed hours on co-ok trying to beat this game. It is pretty similar in style to NES TMNT and contra where there are 4 characters to choose from, each projectile has it's own strength and weakness. And you need to navigate platforming with enemies and bullets flying at you from all directions. We eventually figured out that it was much easier in one player mode, level up Marco and Leo, and save Horatio and Tiffany for the late bosses. 4. Myst No game drove me crazier than this one in my childhood. I was so beyond proud of myself when I managed to draw a map of the underground maze and finally solved the mysteries of the island. 5. Goldeneye- n64. Boy Scout camp would not be the same without all the deathmatches. This was as good as party gaming got. The hard part was the guys who had the respawn points memorized and put proximity mines in place, racking up kills unfairly quickly. To be continued...
  5. Probably an uncommon opinion, but New Super Mario Bros for DS. It controls just as tight as any other mario, the level design is top notch, the way they used the two screens is brilliant. And it had the best powerups in a 2d mario. Koopa shell, are you kidding me? It's hard to control, but when you figure it out, you are a wrecking ball! The mini mushroom is awesome where you can find the secrets in the mini pipes as well as unlock world 4 and 7. I had taken a break for a few years from gaming, and jumped right back in when I discovered it plus an old ds in my wife's old things.
  6. I've replayed puyo puyo/ mean bean machine more times than I can remember. Super Mario Bros 2. Love speedrunning this one! Same with Golden Axe and mega man 2.
  7. I mean the one with that mean bass line. That tune was tight! I still prefer the strings and horns in the overworld song of dkc2. Dkc3 has the best boss fight of all 3 games, though. That one where you have to throw the snowballs at the mutant snowman was a blast. Overall 3 always felt like a chore to play. It had a few bright spots, but overall falls short of being a classic in my eyes.
  8. The overworld music is very memorable to me. Still not as epic as dkc2's though.
  9. I saw my former local bradlees that was on south willow in manchester, nh on that thread!
  10. @Tanooki People volunteered a lot of time to fill the databases and build content for Dain to sell to Gocollect. People can hate GoCollect, but in my opinion, the real dick move was Dain shamelessly profiting from volunteer labor. Disclaimer, i joined NA in late 2016, Dain was inactive by then.
  11. Always Luigi. That includes 4/2. I just adapted to his float jump over the years.
  12. Welcome! Best I can tell, this is a user owned forum. You'll be much happier here given time then you ever were at NA.
  13. Thats pretty neat! Are you a chef as well or are you in tv production?
  14. Several years ago when I worked for Capital Ale House in Richmond, VA, I did a live cooking segment to promote my Richmond Beer Week pairing menu on WTVR. I've done live cooking demonstrations before, but doing it with a live camera 6 feet in front of me was nervewracking. The news anchors were super nice and relaxing and kept firing off questions to keep things moving. 15 minutes went by in the blink of an eye. The dish I made was an Irish stout and toffee cheesecake with espresso infused sugar garnish. When I was prepping it, I totally forgot to add sugar to the cake altogether. Luckily I brought a finished slice for the anchors to eat since there isn't time to bake and cool it. The actual cake I made would have been gross! Good topic!
  15. I'm with you. If you lived by me I'd be open to feed you if you were hungry to matter what.
  16. Or they be watching that news report and be like "I got this!" My old boss used to make me go in every snowstorm. I would have to drive on some very poorly maintained roads and pray I get home. All well, the plow guys need to get fed. We need them out there and killing it for us! Lots of my regulars are tow guys, too. Lots of nurses too, cant not show up to work at a nursing home. Someone needs to be there to dispense meds.
  17. You don't know a lot of people, do you?
  18. I just add milk to my coffee. Black upsets my stomach. Winds up being 4 oz milk after 2 coffees. Hardly anything I feel I need to scale back on. Also, I pretty sure clear American is sucralose sweetened water, not seltzer. I would double check the label.
  19. Drek was no joke! If you miss a few shots you are gonna run out of ammo and game over. Very unforgiving final boss. Dr nefarious in Up Your Arsenal was tough as nails too, but there was this portable shop item in a hidden room I happened across I could buy more ammo mid boss fight. Even with that item he was tough, he was impossible without it! To this day he's the only time I gave up on a final boss.
  20. https://www.zeldadungeon.net/maine-now-has-a-restaurant-inspired-by-yeto-from-twilight-princess/?fbclid=IwAR28O2sNuLeT_bftNIuozsIEL0n7ymMmdFH3BnHVeRsxdVLVnxsZRYFH8r8 Im going. Only a couple hour drive. I need to check this out! I'll bet the pumpkin soup is bomb!
  21. I've yet to sink my teeth into tales of vesperia definitive edition. I've never played a dragon quest but I've heard only good things about 8. If I ever get my ps2 hooked up again, I'll have to give it a spin. 11 is amazing I hear? Im not waiting for the remake, I just went ahead and fired up Final Fantasy 7 on the psp.
