  1. I wouldn't use newspaper crosswords as a "stupidity gauge". Those are just a mixture of random facts and pop culture.
  2. How is it not as described? Plenty of pics in the listing, and he says verbatim in his description: Pinball Arcade Microsoft Nintendo Gameboy Color GBC. No h seam May be a reseal Melted plastic (pictured) See pictures for condition **15% restock fee What were you expecting?
  3. Only thing you could have done at that point would have been to ask them to hold it with your name on it and you'd come back the day they're allowed to sell it. Pawn shops have a mandatory holding period, so he might have also thought you were somebody the cops sent in with your increasing crazy offers.
  4. I like Alice in Chains as well (and Depeche Mode), just not that song.
  5. This might be the first time I intentionally don't vote. I can't stand the ones I've heard of.
  6. It's actually a cooling towel- one of those that you soak with cold water, wring out, and put on the back of your neck.
  7. Our Budweiser distributor had that issue with the Lewis/Tyson fight posters back in '02. They meant to order 2000 for our area, and accidentally ordered 22000. The guys were dropping off a big box of posters at every bar on their route.
  8. If your posted location is correct, 3 and half.
  9. How far is Syracuse from you? RetroGameCon is in about a month.
  10. By that time Tyson was in legal hot water with the rape allegations, so they probably wanted to distance themselves anyway.
  11. Gotta love those places! In college this one drive-thru was dumping Coors Dry 24 pack cases for $5. Not sure if this counts, but one of those unclaimed freight/discount places had flats of beast (Milwaukee's Best Light) tall boys for $1.99. For 24 - 16 oz cans. It was way expired, but it did the trick for one of our rugby tournaments.
  12. I have an autographed Dick Trickle hero card in my office.
  13. If Watervliet is going to be in your path, Vortex! http://www.vortexvg.com/ You'll likely run into Limbofunk and Commander Santa
  14. He might have been used to non-chain appliance stores too. Best Buy might not let you haggle, but Dave's Electronics Emporium and Warehouse just may.
  15. Touchmaster. Same games as on those machines in bars at the time, and I'm pretty sure the first one is dirt cheap.
  16. Makes you wonder how many of those QBs that Cleveland ruined could have been great elsewhere?
  17. Hot take- I think Baker did fine with what Cleveland gave him, but I think Josh Allen would have been better. I'm not counting last season against him; even with it being a "non-throwing shoulder" that's still going to take some off of your throws. I'm done with the Browns anyway after the whole Watson mess.
  18. That one is a toss-up. The Allen/Mayfield argument was because of the other guy being a Browns diehard and singing the praises of taking Baker Mayfield, and didn't want to hear about how Josh Allen would have suited the Browns much better. He was stuck on Allen's completion percentage in college. Wyoming doesn't exactly have the elite WR recruits pounding down their door.
  19. Hey, there's something to be said for the smaller conferences for sports betting. Used to be in the MAC and Mountain West you could find the super dominant teams and the doormats pretty early on, which would make for some epic paydays on 3-4 team parlays. Plus I'm about to cash in on a bet I made with a co-worker that Josh Allen would have a better pro career than Baker Mayfield.
  20. If you start eating 8000 calories a day now it'll fit by Christmas?
