  1. It's a handheld edition of the large flat rate box train. If you do pirateship.com then medium flat rate is $14.50, and large is $19.60. So $5 for an extra 290 cubic inches of space, meaning a greater chance of getting something you want!
  2. There are 2 new pokemon themed cable wraps up in the store, pikachu/eevee and Galaxy Expedition Team, 400 each.
  3. I'm 1985, high school 99-03. There were some yugioh players too, but MtG was the majority. But I do remember going to see the Pokemon 2000 movie with some other guys on my water polo team including a couple juniors/seniors from the varsity team. We got the the theater and it was sold out, tons over kids outside. It was kind of funny how bummed we were.
  4. I've always wanted to do this with the Game Boy library. The way I've looked at it is custom shelving rough 6' by 4'. But with how thin it would be, it would really only take wall space, not much floor real estate, maybe 2" deep. As for variants, let's all just live vicariously through @MiamiSlice and his collection.
  5. I was in high school when it came out and I remember playing this game a bunch and beating. I played MtG with other kids at school, but no one was really playing with Pokemon cards then. I picked it up a last year to mess around just because I love the music so much and I couldn't even make it to the first gym battle. I got wrecked by RNG a few battles in a row and I gave up pretty quite.
  6. Yeah, I didn't realize the specific games coins converted to platinum coins so I just never bothered with them. At this point, I'm just going to grind and farm a bunch of coins to buy as much as I can now, then the next time Nintendo comes out with a new set of rewards, I'll farm Pocket Camper.
  7. I just got back a dozen Gamecube games and I'm surprised at how well they turned out. Most look new again and an especially rough (but playable) Mario Party 4 went from a 4/10 to a 8/10. Super pleased.
  8. @SailorScoutMandy mentioned on Discord to play Fire Emblem Heroes on mobile to get a bunch of easy points. I downloaded it yesterday and withing an hour, I earned 1200. It has an auto battle setting and requires no effort.
  9. FWIW GameStop has Pokemon Mystery Dungeon DX for $20 used and Pokken DX for $23 used. https://www.gamestop.com/video-games/nintendo-switch/products/pokemon-mystery-dungeon-rescue-team-dx---nintendo-switch/212124.html https://www.gamestop.com/video-games/nintendo-switch/products/pokken-tournament-dx---nintendo-switch/154470.html
  10. So you can make sure you don't get a crushed SE box because they shipped it in a bubble mailer.
  11. Could you share what you still need? I'm just curious, and if you don't mind.
  12. I've always lived in Southern California but I think I heard "pull a stinky" from my dad who grew up in up in upstate New York. I think it refers to when you make an illegal U-turn, you may burn rubber as you accelerate out of the turn.
  13. I was watching a show with people from North Carolina and when they had to make a u-turn in the middle of the street and they called it "making a louie", which I'd never heard of. I've heard of making a "uey", pulling a stinky, or (according to my wife) flip a bitch. What do you call it in your neck of the woods?
  14. @LeatherRebel5150I understand about being able to see Pokemon but there are so many mainline entries with random battles that are still enjoyable, I can appreciate it both ways. Are you guys talking about 25+ of the same task just to baseline complete the entry or max complete it?
  15. I rented it for the launch weekend, put about 5 hours it and got my third star and made it to the first mount before taking it back. I agree with everything you said. I really enjoyed it and have been thinking about it all week. I'm definitely picking it back up first time it goes on sale
  16. I'm surprised no one mentioned the fact that the cheapest tier for a physical copy is $100. "We’re sorry that we do not have a cheaper physical game option, but please note that physical copies of the game will be plentiful at a standard MSRP when the game is released. "
  17. I remember all the hype surrounding FO3 before release and I bought it day 1. Stepping out of the vault for the first time into the blinding light of the wasteland is one of the few gaming moments that have stayed with me over the years so for that reason, it will always be a special game for me. That being said, playing today on X360 or PS3 sounds awful, but playing it on PC with ungraded textures, quality of life updates, and bug fixes, would still make it enjoyable.
  18. Train has left the station, blood in blood out.
  19. Dang, I'm always a year late!
  20. Train has arrived. I'll be taking the weekend to go through it and have it out probably Tuesday.
  21. Anyone getting Pokemon Legends Arceus tonight/tomorrow? My Gamestop is having a 9pm release for preorders.
  22. I'm looking for some bargains but have to scratch together some funds, I'm thinking maybe some LEG, NEE, and SWK.
  23. Yeah, I wouldn't say I didn't like him, and I'm sure he gets more characterization over the series, but between hat plus the art appreciation, he feels like every villain from the Die Hard movies. I just felt like Mara Jade and Talon Karrde we're more compelling.
  24. I actually finished the book last week but kind of forgot to post anything. That being said, I liked it. This is the first Star Wars book I've ever read and it felt a lot like a Star Wars story, maybe more from the prequel trilogy, but a SW story none the less. It was hard not to hear voices like Anthony Daniels and Harrison Ford while reading dialogue. I thought the battle sequences were kind of weak and hard for me to follow/imagine, but I did like the Mara Jade character. It does kind of annoy me when characters like Thrawn are given such incredible powers of deductive reasoning that they become omniscient. On the topic off skipping a month, I'd be down.
