  1. Yeah, I tried a website that teaches touch typing for a couple days and was struggling to hit 14 WPM. Of course it takes time for muscle memory to kick in.
  2. Yeah, I still have to look at the keys a majority of the time I'm typing but a lot of the time I can still type faster than my brain can think of what to type.
  3. I thought it would be a good idea to work on my typing speed. Currently I'm working at around 50 wpm using mostly my index and middle fingers with my ring fingers mostly relegated to Shift and Enter. But I also have to look at the keyboard most of the time. I don't work in a field that requires me to type fast. Is there a benefit to improve my typing speed? Or is 50 wpm good enough and I shouldn't bother?
  4. Just finished Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends and the Secret Fairy on the Switch. I enjoyed it and am looking forward to the 3rd game in February. Not too difficult and took 33 hours to credits, although it would have been a lot quicker if I had read one of those "before you start" guides. Once you start crafting the higher tier stuff, you need lower mats and have to backtrack to gather. But if you sell anything to the merchants it unlocks that item in their inventory, allowing you to buy it back when you need some, preventing the need for hunting. It's a smart system that I didn't take advantage of until it was too late.
  5. I'm just waiting for everyone to complain about wokeness when they finally make an Earthsea movie with nothing but dark skinned actors.
  6. I'm going to go with 3 (although 71 still feels a bit high)
  7. I agree with you about Sword/Shield being good. I think people let their expectations ruin a fine experience. I played through the whole thing and both DLCs and enjoyed it. Only until after reading the dreaded internet comments did I notice some things that could have been better, but it didn't take anything away from the overall game for me. Although I really do think the games should have VO at this point. And yes, the gym battle themes are one of the best parts.
  8. Love it, beat it on PS2 then years later on 3DS. One of my favorite gaming memories playing it back in 2006 on a giant CRT in the living room with surround sound.
  9. Did someone mention posi-core?
  10. Netflix release a new film adaptation of All Quiet on the Western Front that's worth a watch, especially on Armistice/Veterans day. They made some additions and subtractions that add to the viewing experience but I think take away some of the impact of it's message. (aka the book was better)
  11. Just know 99% is made up, and even the other 1% isn't exactly accurate.
  12. I'd love to have my suggestion on the wizard in Castlequest (#24), but I will relinquish my dib rights on the knight (#6) for whoever'd like it.
  13. Once the barriers receive an impact, do they have to be replaced? Since this was intentional, would the team be fined for the replacement cost?
  14. Alright, here's my submission for the year. I didn't intend on getting Bingo, I just wanted to be part of the festivities.
  15. Can I get the Game Night Participant charm? I'm not sure how many I've attended, but it's been more than 1. Probably between 5-10 but whatever, I just want it for my Bingo card.
  16. Mmm... She's so beautiful... I must give you something for your trouble... Hmm... Well, it looks like I have is this broom... How'll that be?
  17. Because if you don't pick the right ample breasted gothic partner, you might get a Vira El infection.
  18. Across the Pond: Probably the only Famicom games I ever plan on owning. Clean as a Whistle: Certainly not the grosses game ever to come through my doors, but definitely in need of a good scrubbin'. New and Improved: I swapped out the screen on my wife's NES GBA SP with the 101 backlit screen. Tools of the Trade: Nothing fancy, just typical Nintendo security bit screwdrivers, a couple tri-wings, torx, and the all important toothbrush. Souvenir: This draw string bag was the bonus for pre-ording DQ VIII at Gamestop. Nothing spectacular, but not something you see everyday from one of my favorite games. How Charming:
  19. We do cream cheese mashed potatoes (AKA Glorious Mashed Potatoes) but we also do a roasted root vegetable dish with potatoes, onions, carrots, parsnips, beets, etc... All roasted together with oil and garlic cloves.
  20. I recommend the Bishop, Wizard, Attack Cat, or Phantom Flower from Castlequest (NES).
  21. How noticable is the fading? Is it really uneven? If not, I'd leave it be since it's still in good condition.
