Exactly. Trump likes the idea of being president, but he doesn't want to put in the actual work or take any of the responsibility when things go south. But I've been seeing a bunch of right-wing censorship martyr posts about social media policies for awhile now... I"m sure this will only add to it. In 24 hours he physically attacked the first amendment, and verbally threatened the people of the United States with the threat of being shot. All while the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic reached over 100,000 dead. Since no Republican candidates other than Donald Trump are viable, I will be forced to vote blue, no matter who to get this dictator out of office. Not to mention he acted faster on attacking Twitter with his EO for fact checking him than he did helping American citizens during the pandemic. Instead, their option this year is Joe Biden. Biden regularly seems old and out of touch. He's made numerous gaffes in interviews (including one just a week or so ago!). During his 8 years as Vice President, he failed to create or spearhead anything with actual results (as far as perception goes). The most notable thing to come out of his term was the Obama/Biden memes, which were hilarious, but left Joe looking like an idiot. Hell, even Obama didn't support him until literaly every other candidate had dropped out of the running. Trump's been doubling down on his partisan rhetoric. The pro-Republican voters will still support him due to supporting the party. White bread Biden is seen as "eh, he's not a super socialist," to a significant chunk of Republicans and, more importantly, right leaning independents, while still garnering the lion's share of the left. Trump was good at convincing a significant amount of people that their problems were all someone else’s fault (Democrats/hillary) when in fact its conservatism that has left them behind. Being a great Con man, he somehow got people to identify himself has a common man out for working families- Which I will never understand, as he is known as the exact opposite. Born with a silver spoon, and never had to work an honest day in his life. He lied cheated and stole to get where he was, and used to laugh about not paying contractors who worked on his properties, daring them to sue him. He hired illegal immigrants, while accusing them of being rapists and stole money to upgrade soliders barracks to make a worthless wall to keep them out. Everything he does is 180 of conservatism that I grew up believing in. Somehow the GOP figured this was a horse they could tie their cart to, because of an enthusiastic base that hated Hillary Clinton. Now, lifelong Conservatives who have actually made headway on an agenda are beings screamed at as RINOs because they arent a sycophant.
