FireHazard51 | 2,043 Social Team ·
Even though most of my game collections don't have a box and are case based. I still prefer the the simple CIB or Complete to categorize my collection.

Renmauzo | 1,201
I've always thought CIB meant 'Complete-in-Box', but I always add '...with all the inserts' since complete means different things to different people. I do spell it out "C-I-B" though, like "N-E-S" or "S-N-E-S"...
nrslam | 476
I always think of CIB meaning cartridge + instructions + box, different from Complete which is CIB + inserts.

This is a distinction I make as well. In fact I will list my listings here with C - I - or B depending on which pieces I have.
DarkTone | 985
CIB. Before joining NintendoAge I would have said complete.
DefaultGen | 5,405
Complete, less ambiguous. CIB stands for “Cintellivision IamicoNFTcard inBox”.
fcgamer | 4,723
I prefer cwes. It means Complete with extra shit.

cartman | 195
I ask about "100% complete" and point out including warning papers, ads etc. to let the seller know that i'm literally asking about everything. Just saying "CIB" they won't know.

JamesRobot | 5,800 Events Team ·
I prefer complete if we're talking Nintendo games but I'm not a die hard. I'm going to assume game, instructions, and box (GIB?) for disc based games unless stated otherwise. And I won't collect game only from PS1 and later unless we're talking digital, and that needs to be a pretty sharp discount for me to consider. Order of preference in terms of collecting: Complete CIB CB CI C Digital
Link | 2,712
I "say" CIB but have no reason to actually say it out loud. It's just convenient shorthand for forums, notes, eBay, etc. (which I pronounce "et cetera". Just like I say "Nintendo" and not "Ness". And I call the I a "manual".) Nice change of pace. 1
