My youngest son is autistic and likes to rip boxes...so my collection is in “the cold room” in storage boxes until things get better. Thankfully it was a Sachen generic and it contributed to me discovering that Sachen printed other games labels underneath! They probably printed entire sets of labels all at once and snipped whatever they needed at the time.

They’re definitely legitimate auctions. Heritage Auctions doesn’t screw around with fake bidders. Also, one of our very own veteran community members @Bronty is pretty active in that realm. Dude is literally a piece of the puzzle that brought the nerdy rich comic collectors into our little nerdy not as rich hobby :V

I segregate items from my storage boxes until I add them into my collection log. I do inventory once-in-a-while which averages to be about once every couple months. One day I’ll take my stuff out of storage boxes and build a cabinet with doors to keep my collection safe, I don’t want *this* to happen again.

Lol I make joke I just hate that number so much that I sort of adopt the persona of that which I’m trying to kill. Theres definitely either 350 or 400. There’s no way 90%+ survived. When we hit 91 I am still gonna include the “90” number in my %discovered chart.

I won’t pretend to have the answers. If I did I’d be the worlds first trillionaire. I do know that much of the world was walkable during the previous ice age, but I also know that the amount of crap we’ve been pumping into the highest heights of the atmosphere and deepest depths of the ocean is way faster than what would happen “naturally” (ignoring that humans are natural) I live in the suburbs and I wouldn’t mind cleaner air. Driving towards New York City I always see a brown haze about 2 miles above the city and it’s really ugly...but I also enjoy driving my diesel truck.

:V localizing all the waste into one area is orders of magnitude more efficient to process and recycle than it is having it spread out across the world. Sorry to go against the grain here. The only real solution to significantly reducing carbon output is more public transportation and making private car ownership an extreme luxury...like owning a yacht or private jet......also destroy all cattle. Neither is ever happening, so I’ll just buy some property about 50 feet above sea level so my grandkids can have beach front property by the time I die. Though their grandkids will have to scuba dive to visit the old family heirloom ;) Also, there’s plenty of reports that say it’s already too late to reverse global climate change and the effect will only grow exponentially when the millions of years of literal shit under the permafrost starts melting. But I’m just a video game geek so what do I really know. I’m just parroting stuff that people who I think are supposed to be smart say.

I’m all for free market competition. It’s up to VGA to make themselves relevant. Innovation was needed in that sector of the hobby and it’s refreshing to see people from within the community being at the helm.

Oh my god @spacepup I’m sorry to hear that. Dont pay too much attention to population control comments...everyone agrees the world is overpopulated but no one will willingly sacrifice their mother to contribute. 1,000,000 deaths is just a statistic, but a single death is a tragedy. We all look at spreadsheets all day and hear numbers like “X thousand people died today” but never really process that there are thousands of adventures that came to an untimely end, thousands of stories that didn’t quite finish, and thousands of lives that meant the world to someone else. My cousin died just last month of a “heart attack” but his family is known for being secretive about health issues and we all believe it was COVID...not to mention that just days after the event there was a massive uptick in COVID cases within our community. I hope you and your family heal soon. Grieving is hard, but important. RIP Granny Spacepup.

The thing is, I love spicy food...my earliest food memories involve spicy foods. but when it comes to Nashville hot chicken, where’s the flavor? It just tastes like deep fried cayenne pepper. The only way to make it more “monotone” is to deep fry salt or water.
