  1. Isn’t this just a Brazilian copy of the game or am I missing something :V
  2. ... I actually agree with the dude on this episode. He's making sense....I feel myself turning. Save me Chase! We need more videos.
  3. Can confirm 60-pin was in all the opened boxes I received from this seller. Can not confirm on the sealed ones since I want to make a video before I open them but I'm 99.5% sure they're 60-pin. Sachen is my guilty pleasure for the NES. So many people just ignore it because there's hardly any information on them, but I think that's why I love them...my holy grail is to actually have any original artwork of any of the so called "Original Box Art" boxes.
  4. True! But I like to keep them as their own thing for now until I get some solid proof that they were ACTUALLY distributed in the U.S....That doesn't mean I'm empty handed though! I've found plenty of trademark information on Sachen in the United States Patent and Trademark Office. They've had a presence in the USA since December 1990! Well within the NES lifespan! Sachen™ is USPTO 74121397. Filed 12/7/90 Commin™ is USPTO 74358303. Filed 2/12/93 GoldenKey™ is USPTO 74345785. Filed 1/5/93 Q-Boy™ is USPTO 75789614. Filed 9/1/99 Q-Gun™ is USPTO 75789613. Filed 9/1/99 I've also found flyers that are packed in with their games in both English/Spanish, and English/German. There are also magazine ads in Argentina and Taiwan. I've seen a brochure in Swedish. There are special boxes only released in Italy, distributed by a company "GRA. DI. SRL." in "Corso Plebisciti, 19 20129 Milano" Also, I've got a couple sealed Dancing Blocks that came from Poland and even have a Polish manual for a Sachen game. Also, on their GoldenKey product they have flags for the Netherlands, Germany, Italy, Spain, Portugal, and the United States (erroneously used for the British flag). Underneath these flags are all little blurbs that explain the product and they all translate to the following: As you might know, none of the Nintendo games sold in America (NTSC) and Europe (PAL) can be exchangeable used on NTSC or PAL console. Thanks to Golden Key, now all these cartridges become universal. I've seen quite a few sellers in recent years selling the GoldenKey in America, and I've also seen them listed frequently in Italy, Germany, and the Netherlands. Edit: Also, Milmar (Brazil) licensed some games from Sachen as well.
  5. Only thing I'll ever work on is that checklist book, and only if there's demand for it :V For now, I'm content with my regular ol' Phleo Lists.
  6. I gave up on the coffee table book a while ago. I scope-creeped it out of existence. It went from just playing all 677+91 games for the "set" to BEATING and REVIEWING them, then it started to go into adding in PAL exclusives, Sachen, Gluk, and HES....then Famicom exclusives that are English speaker only playable.......then I wanted to add interviews from prominent collectors and at one point the book was inflated to an estimated 1200+ pages to complete at which point I was thinking of turning it into a "Mega-Zine" like ZooBooks (meaning all the issues are complete, but come separate in their own bite sized magazines) I still do want to make my mini checklist book though. But I keep finding variants at least once a month.... The idea for this one is to be 5" x 7" just like your average NES box. Matte paper so you can write in it with a pencil too! I want it to have the following sections: USA Library Licensed Games Unlicensed Games Tengen Camerica AVE Bunch, Color Dreams & Wisdom Tree The Rest Other Stuff Hardware Packages & Bundles First Party Accessories Third Party Accessories Nintendo World Championships Service Center Material PAL Library PAL A PAL B Unlicensed Codemasters (UK) HES (Australia) Gluk (Spain) Sachen (Global) Variant Hunters Licensed Variants Major Art Changes Hangtabs 5-Screws & 3-Screws Unlicensed Variants Blue & Black Color Dreams Cartridges Notched & Square AVE Cartridges Other Variants PAL Variants PAL Licensed Exclusives Name Changes Art Changes Publisher Changes Small Boxes Classic Serie(s) Other Lists Rarest Games Games by Publisher Games by Genre Games Requiring Accessories
  7. That further gives me confidence that "collectors" sets are completely different from "players" sets and the idea of separating the game from the collectible is required to properly document things.
  8. As the owner of a rare variant I consider my game set complete without World Class Track Meet :V Also, there’s a code revision in legend of Zelda where they fix a few bugs and I think they remove the TM from the title screen...no one can say its a different game because they fixed bugs. Also, tons of NES games have code revisions. They’re marked with the letter “A” on the back of the cart sometimes.
  9. I’m still a right leaning centrist. But like many people on this side of the aisle said 4 years ago: He’s your president. Get used to it. We are not “The States of America” we are The UNITED States of America. At the end of the day we’re all Americans living in this country and should give our president our full support. After all, his success translates to our prosperity. We May have our faults, and we may have had a bad history. But our country is one like no other in the planet, or in the history of mankind. We are the nation of 50 nations. We are the nation where every man and woman can do and be whatever they want. We are the land of opportunities, the land of prosperity, and the land of freedom. I pray for Joe Biden to have the wisdom, strength, and favor of God to lead us into greatness these next 4 years. May his presidency show all nations of the earth that the United States of America is still the beacon of freedom, liberty, and justice.
  10. 7H5 translates to "5th week of August 1987" which would be August 30th and 31st. The chips were manufactured at the same time. maybe at most only days apart. First digit is year, second digit is month, last digit is week. A = January B = February C = March D = April E = May F = June G = July H = August I = [THERE IS NO "I" TO PREVENT CONFUSION WITH 1] J = September K = October L = November M = December
  11. I think the main argument (if there ever was one) is that the classification of the release is what matters. In general for the NES if it had a different publisher, or licensing status then it’s a different game. Thats why the following is true for the most accepted version of “the list” Impossible Mission II by SEI is separate from AVE Six in One by Myriad is separate from Caltron Mermaids of Atlantis by AVE is separate from Bubble Bath Babes by Panesian Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom by Mindscape is separate from Tengen Pac-Man by Namco is separate from both the unlicensed and licensed version by Tengen RBI Baseball by Tengen is separate from its licensed version Gauntlet by Tengen is separate from its licensed version Donkey Kong Classics is separate from Donkey Kong and Donkey Kong Jr separately. Sesame Street ABC & 123 is separate from Sesame Street ABC and Sesame Street 123 separately Super Mario Bros. / Duck Hunt is separate from Super Mario Bros and Duck Hunt separately SMB/DH/WCTM is separate from Super Mario Bros., Duck Hunt, and World Class Track Meet separately Super Spike VBall / Nintendo World Cup is separate from Super Spike VBall and Nintendo World Cup separately Stadium Events is separate from World Class Track Meet, and SMB/DH/WCTM The same logic doesn’t apply to even the NES cousin, Game Boy. There are PLENTY of publisher variants on that system but they all count as the same game. There are also three major caveats that don’t count for some reason. Sharedata Chiller isn’t real AGCI Wally Bear isn’t real Family Fun Fitness: Athletic World isn’t separate despite a title change even though Stadium Events is...wtf? Then you hop across the pond and suddenly title changes don’t matter. Action In New York? Totally just SCAT Probotector? Totally just Contra Snowboard Challenge? Totally just Heavy Shreddin’ ... Unless of course you look at the Classic Serie version of Mario Bros., then it’s a unique release.
  12. I 99% agree with you, but the 1% of me that disagrees says that there are a lot of unknowable things and necessary evils a president has to do. Remember back when we just straight up killed a foreign military general? Remember when a foreign military straight up assaulted us citizens on us soil? There has to be more to those kind of events than just their face value. I do think there should be punishments involved for his nepotism, and investigations into whether or not he compromised national security... but even the botched coronavirus response isn’t exactly something you can solely pin him for. Also, Biden clearly wants this nation to heal. straight up attacking the previous administration will absolutely enrage the 70m+ people who wanted more of the same
  13. I draw the line at Cheetahmen II (and the Aladdin Deck Enhancer games) If it aint ever released then it aint matter.
  14. Just gonna hide that Sachen game from me....
  15. They manufactured Overlord themselves, so I consider it as an "aside" to the Virgin/Arcadia set. But overall, yes that's what I think the proper order of things are. I would however ask @Mr. CIB since he's been doing this sort of documentation longer than me.
  16. Color A Dinosaur comes should come with the generic Virgin/Arcadia flyer, and VIR-NES-US-2 registration card. It should also come with NES-USA/CAN-2. The VIR-NES-US-2 registration card is NOT rare though. It can be found in certain Caesar's Palace print runs. I am not sure about Jungle Book as it was one of the final NES games ever released and is pretty rare to find in good, complete condition. However, on October 10, 2019 VGPC claims one sold with a poster and "etc" so there might be some goodies there.
  17. Ah, the classiest of web browsers. ...oh What kind of ghetto-ass Firefox am I using then?
  18. Nope :V Then again I'm one of only like...10 people on the planet still using Firefox because I hate google.
  19. Tough to say. I was never able to find a reliable source for release dates. I guess the best thing is to start going through old Toys R Us, KB Toys, Sears, EB Games, etc. flyers and try to piece a better picture together but I doubt it was released in August 1994 as many lists claim given how there's over a half year lag in between print date to the alleged release date.
  20. Donald Trump isn't pleased at all. He just posted this on twitter. This man is about to go nuclear...I wonder if an emergency impeachment will have to be done? This time, an ACTUAL full blown impeachment. He is clearly not going to concede peacefully.
  21. Ain’t no diss. I grew up with crazy bones! I don’t remember if it was an official game or not, but I remember we used to throw them and depending on which way they landed we awarded ourselves points! I remember certain bones being highly coveted for their “balance” as well.
  22. The fact that Biden’s lead in overall vote count is measured in the MILLIONS but this being still such a tight race proves that the electoral college system is deeply, deeply flawed. Another thing that’s sickening is the fact that we only have two viable parties. I’m willing to bet that there are more people in America who want to smoke weed with their gay-married friends at the gun range then there are people who are hard anti-gay, or hard anti-gun...yet only the Libertarian party represents those people and NOONE votes for them. wtf. (ps don’t smoke weed at the gun range...I don’t want to clean up blood off the shooters booth just because you were messed up....don’t drink either, even though some ranges offer alcohol....and STOP throwing brass in the trash....it’s how I get paid and I don’t enjoy digging it out)
