  1. @Tanookiis it confirmed for certain PP friends and family won't trigger anything?
  2. Was scanning carts for Family Bits 3 and I saw this one.
  3. But they are listening to some fans at the expense of others, and the game is being edited to meet such demands. That's where I take issue. No offence, but this is the sort of stuff that would have occurred in 1989 or 1992...except it would have been brought about (forced) by Nintendo themselves, and the developer would have had no choice but to oblige. It's 2022 now, I realise political correctness and all of that stuff, but we should be way beyond this, and the fact that some fans are bringing about such censorship is sickening. No thanks guys, I really don't like the direction this is going, at all.
  4. I prefer the original version to the edited version, is that putting it better? If the swearing was something that wasn't part of the game, how did it end up in the original version? If it wasn't there to begin with, it wouldn't have been removed to please whiners.
  5. Not volume 2, but it is going to be in the same volume as the spiders.
  6. Bump! Also have tons more goodies up for grabs here: https://www.instagram.com/tvgamefoundationformosa/ Just message me what you like and we'll work something out
  7. I don't really have a horse in this race as I don't plan on diving down the rabbit hole of homebrew Sega games; however, I do feel the whole thing to be appalling. Here are my thoughts on the matter. If I were to buy the game, I would personally want for it to include the swearing. This was how the developers had initially envisioned the game, so I find the removal of the words to please a handful of people to be a bit sad. I'm definitely not a fan of censorship, and ironically enough for those that wanted the words to be removed, that sort of attitude is actually what gives these words their power.
  8. I think we had established it was the same machine due to some creases / wear being the same in all the pictures, plus allegedly someone had contacted the seller who claimed that their friend had given it to them.
  9. Except you couldn't have, as the guy never got back to you. Maybe it was in Texas all along. The Texas guy threw it up on Toronto Craigslist to make it look more legit, to make it "established"...
  10. One other "problem", I should point out, which goes back to manufacturing. The cartridge is a typical Taiwanese design, no way a Korean manufacturer would bundle their clone with a cartridge shell made in Taiwan...
  11. As an aside, I know this is subjective, but the text itself even feels like someone is just taking the piss or something. I mean, bootleg stuff often has funny text, but the text here feels too much, even for that.
  12. Yup, 100% fake then, at least the box. Though one fake spoils the broth, so they say.
  13. Guys, unless another one pops up, I think it's safe to consider the Super Jeff to be an elaborate hoax. Even if the game were dumped, it could once again easily been hacked to create the hoax and yield the seller a nice payoff from literally nothing. Some observations: 1. Thanks to what @Gloves said, I took another look and yes, it does just look like one large sticker on the box. The problem with this style is that I have never seen a Famiclone manufacturer do this, ever. And we are talking about clones coming from various countries around the world. 2. To follow up on that point, does anyone else find it to be incredibly strange that the Super Jeff shares the same mold as a rare / obscure Korean Famiclone? What's the problem with that, you might ask? The clones distributed around the world were generally derived from models made in Taiwan / China / Thailand, the three common points of manufacture. It would be like if you flipped the machine over and it said "Made in the USA" or something - i.e. possible, but very unlikely. 3. Going back to the point with the box. I don't think I have ever seen a Famiclone with a box like that, I mean to take it one step further, you can even see the damned flute sticking out clear as day! Famiclone boxes were made with cardboard generally, but this box looks to me to be a white corrugated box, with a sticker slapped on it. That definitely raises red flags in my book.
  14. The South African theory was just something I had thrown out myself, i.e. unless you have evidence supporting that it does have ties to there, it likely doesn't.
  15. Also, @ThePhleo and @DefaultGen - Thanks so much for the support, and also for the amazing reviews on Amazon. Not to sound corny, but my mom has been watching that page like a hawk, even more than me, and she is just stunned... for my folks the insane purchases and money spent has been a waste, they don't get it, generation gap - but they're shocked now to see this sort of reception.
  16. No no, thank you Jose for the initial design, the purchase, but even more important than that, the inspiration... God bless.
  17. This looks awesome, please bring it to 60 pins.
  18. It's about time, we should start a campaign to get them cancelled, racist pricks.
  19. Haven't played it, though I have a copy. That decision sounds horrible though.
  20. Actually....OptOut was the Jeff...but then bad things happened, bad things. That's why he is how he is now
  21. It's gonna be the Family Bits Effect
  22. It's almost on meme level. It's funny, my mother asked me the same thing.
  23. First off, a big thanks to @ThePhleofor the amazing review on Amazon! Actually my mom had seen it and felt shocked, my parents are still in the mindset that games aren't collectables. Anyways, my copy of the book arrived today, as well as the copy for @OptOut . I didn't want to say too much before I actually got to see the final product itself, as my greatest fear is that I'll release something, which is pricey*, and it'll suck...majorly. I could honestly start nitpicking things with this book, but as the author I think no one is ever 100% satisfied, we are our own harshest critics. Overall, I'm extremely happy with how this book turned out, and I think this will definitely become the industry standard when it comes to this particular subject matter. I know I'm extremely biased, but it's also hard to imagine that this was a one-man job. I've attached some pictures for everyone's enjoyment. *for the record, half of the cost is printing costs and I only see less than 1/3 of the remaining money
