  1. I make homemade Kimchi and it's awesome. Quick pickling is really easy and rewarding. @Richardhead If you want a challenge and have canning equipment, this is the season for pickled watermelon rind.
  2. This was a bad choice, but I'll see it through. I don't like it at all though. Excited about some of the games in Reed's top 25 SNES games that still haven't been beaten yet, like Brandish and RoTK2. Liberty or Death and Inindo too but those have been beaten already.
  3. Lol I think the last thing the cashier wants is more interaction with you.
  4. Charles Wilkes had one of those 19th century lives full of different adventures, even before he earned a place in history in the Civil War. Have you read Dana's Two Years Before the Mast? Definitely recommend it, and he also did some interesting stuff during and after the Civil War.
  5. I am going to try King Arthur & the Knights of Justice next
  6. That movie was on in constant rotation on weekend afternoons for a few years. Wilford Brimley and JA Preston crushed it, and a very young Kate Mulgrew in her military uniform was definitely part of my "awakening" Gotta give ol' Warren Murphy a nod for co-writing Lethal Weapon 2 with Shane Black
  7. The adventure has ended!
  8. Insurtechs continue to take a beating. ROOT, MILE, and LMND eating taint at the moment Anyone have some positive news?
  9. As someone who recently moved from Columbus, all I can say is "hell yeah!" This has been a huge problem there and it sounds like these jizzmuppets were a major factor
  10. Nudie magazine day, no question. Buy your own retro nudie mags and/or send some to me
  11. that can't be too good for your teeth either
  12. Super Mario World didn't have any video game heros, so it's can't be that one.
  13. I bought a copy back in 1997 from the first Etler cache and found out about it from that USENET post. I still have my copy somewhere but haven't looked for it in all my boxes of crap for quite a while now...
  14. Snoops was pretty good. I think i saw 5 or 6 of those 80s ones at least once. I distinctly remember seeing that Dads intro start up and furiously changing the channel to something else. I'm a little young for the 70s stuff, but Hot L Baltimore is an adaptation of a Lanford Wilson play
  15. So many good UPN shows.. Deadly Games, Dilbert, DiResta, Grown Ups, In the House, Homeboys in Outer Space, Nowhere Man, The Parkers, Pig Sty, Platypus Man, The Secret Diary of Desmond Pfeiffer, Shasta McNasty, Social Studies. I watched all this crap when it was first on. Pig Sty in particular appears to have totally disappeared with only the show intro on youtube. Shasta McNasty was so funny but would never fly today. Jake Busey and Verne Troyer, hell yeah
  16. Hey, this show was pretty popular and definitely not forgettable. It did wear out its welcome and was one of the first shows canceled during the infamous "Rural Purge" in 1970. One of the best gags on NewsRadio was Dave Nelson's love of Green Acres.
  17. i definitely watched this show a few times. It's still worth watching to see a young Rickety Cricket. UPN has a bad rep, but I give them a lot of credit for giving a lot of weird shows a chance. Plus, Homeboys in Outer Space is a true classic.
  18. Start doing hard mode. Normal mode is way too easy and lets you get away with tricks like this
  19. Why would you use a first word that has two "e"s in it? Irate gives you a "t" too. Or go all out and start with eerie.
  20. Given that the game was released in 1993, the quality is inexcusably bad. Even if it were a 1985 release, it would have looked terrible.
  21. Ugh, this is a rough one. Gilbert was such a great guest on Stern in the 90s and 2000s. Here he is with my favorite wackpacker. I saw a few comments that his podcast was really great to listen to. I'm going to have to fire up a few after listening to him and Artie goof on ETM
  22. The original Texas Chainsaw Massacre may be more influential, but I love the second one more. Bill Moseley is so great in it.
  23. Lucky Stiff from 1988, although almost no one has heard of it or seen it. Anthony Perkins directed it and it has Donna Dixon in her prime, and a nice appearance by Fran Ryan
  24. Pro Quarterback Two minute quarters, single game (only option) I continued my time-tested strategy of selecting a random play ("Quick Out"), but instead of pressing "X" over and over again, this time I hammered at "B." It connected surprisingly often and I had no problem continuing the first downs through passing. The opp's offense was better here and I was forced to run randomly around the field while pressing B and Y like a zoo monkey to try to stop Cleveland. Regardless, this was a pretty easy completion
