  1. If you're talking about legend of kay anniversary, it threw me for a loop and I thought for sure someone replaced the case when I got it locally.. until checking online haha. At least it's a little nod to the game having older roots, but certainly confused me coming in late to it.
  2. Hey happy Friday!! My birthday is next week dang time flies, here's the haul. Lil visit to the flint area so we stopped at the game stores and thrifts. Mandy picked up genso wanderer and witch and the hundred knight 2, and I snagged journey and blops3. I'm trying to get a Sega Genesis around so I can get the vgs diamond thieves game. I've avoided collecting for it for years, but no real reason why..I haven't played genny since I was a teenager/younger it's been fun so far getting things around looking at games, nice lil taste of nostalgia. I had everything but the power cord, then I realized that the gamegear block would work with the model 2 I have, badda bing. Tried it out and worked just fine but second go around required the cable to be precociously angled.. looks like the solder joints on the power are iffy so gonna have to plop some fresh solder in there and should be great! I have a bunch of original 3 button controllers but I always used a knockoff 6 button from funcoland back in the day, so instead of trying to find that I went for the new retrobit officially licensed release. The red looks and feels super nice, oem quality, thick cable. Played a little NBA jam and wasn't mad, played just fine. Wired was only 15$ on Amazon for the Genesis and 20$ for usb, there are Bluetooth and 2.4 ghz options as well that look pretty nice around the 30$ mark. Saturn pad is really nice as well, it works natively with the switch and can also switch from d-input or x-input. The r and l switches have a nice click to em and what a lovely d pad. Short order / eggsplode and power pad bundled for $20 at the local woooo, starfox for $8 and red faction from the thrift for $2.50 missing the manual but haven't seen a cube game thriftin in quite a while. Finishing up with Halo Reach controller maybe broken fer $3 (I wanted the shell), gears and halo 3 special editions for 6$ each not bad at all, cod2 ph for $5 and Mario maker 3ds at $10. That's it for this week Edit: oh yah I forgot about these!! @enix2093found these CD protectors on ebay that are pretty great. some demos fit a little snug, a little too snug for sealed stuff but almost perfect all around. Actually, for oxm subscription demos these have kinda a perfect fit. Here's the post for them if anyone else is looking: Thank you again enix!!!
  3. Nice writeup MegaMan!! I never knew about that Japanese link cable converter and I love it!!
  4. Looking like turtles!! Mandy and I have it downloaded on Xbox thanks to gamepass so if anyone else was interested, Xbox/pc game pass has like 1$ monthly trial I think.
  5. Nice work, really thoughtfully done reed!! Estil, the red green show ruleeees (I will admit I haven't seen it in years though, but heck yaa)
  6. Happy Friday!! Starting off the week with a nice mostly non yellowed SNES. This feller came bundled with 2 controllers, original power block, and 3rd party av/s cable (which funny enough I found a set of Nintendo ones this week so bye bye 3rd party junk cable) Serial UN282421142 - going off the Google doc spreadsheet out there of SNES motherboard revisions I think that the board should be sns-cpu-rgb-02. Gonna have to crack it open to double check, the other super I have is an earlier model... eventually I would like to add a 1chip to the collection. 2015 tomy pika, 2001 Kellytoy donkey Kong, 2017 tomy pika Cheapies from thriftin and the local, $3 Gran Turismo, 2.50$ gta5, 1$ cooking mama 2 Finishing the week with Xbox! Thanks to @dr_orangejuicerI added a pair of mad catz lightguns. They cleaned up! Still gotta hook up and play house of the dead but super happy to have a pair of em! Super cooool That's it for this week, thanks for peekinnnnn
  7. Agreeed!! the GBA one got me hooked and I 100%'d it back in the day so you are reading me like a book hahah
  8. Game and wario has skyrocketed in price and I'm sad I missed it when it was around the 50$ mark. Nice choices Lynda!!
  9. Thank you for the heads up again enix!! Those are pretty much perfect.
  10. I feel like it's overkill but if I see rust spots on one I like to try and get rid of em and give a coat of rustoleum to maybe protect(also painted rf shields look cool as heck to me)
  11. @leonemesis @fsped09 @Bighab Happy late and current birthdays!!!!!
  12. Back in the day I had a green s controller that I used to death, ended up with a short in the main cable (not the breakaway) and would only work if you held the cord the right way.. super annoying I just got rid of it back then but now I wish I could try some surgery haha. At least ya can part it out, and the box is super coooool
  13. Closed for the whole year because last season a part of a train broke off and hit someone in line, big time yikes https://www.themeparktribune.com/cedar-point-cleared-in-top-thrill-dragster-accident-but-keeping-coaster-closed-in-2022/
  14. Heyyyy, so this week I spent all my fun money on the trip as well as getting my car fixed so here's some cedar point pictures instead.
  15. Heck ya nice pickup!! Cool to see all the variants out there, thank you for sharing this combo bundle was in the states too and not sure if they just stopped printing the standalone jsrf after it but it made the shiny cover jsrf go for more $$
  16. Kinda late but I was gonna say caps or maybe been through a power surge weird to not have power led. The constant rumble could be a short in the cable (did it keep rumbling when plugged into ports other than the first one?) Maybe someone dropped it or threw it and something got funky?
  17. Hey! Late Friday for me, but not much this week. Mandy snagged the min min amiibo, I found the ps3 remote at the local for like $3 and this very cool book from 2004 off the eBay. The information inside is a trip now-a-days including afterburner GBA installation which looks completely antiquated compared to the modern solutions of swapping a 101 screen or ips kit. I only skimmed through but a perfect time capsule of the 2000 modding scene. Fable 3 display art wooo, heavenly guardian is a scrolling shooter in the likes of ikari warriors or heavy barrel. Finishing with Xbox but none of the list this week Found an eBay seller from Sweden selling these hockey games, my first Swedish package! Nothing really special but there is branding and language all over em. Less than 8$ together shipped, I have no idea how the seller made any money off of it. Anyways that's it for this week, anxiously awaiting Sunday as we're heading to cedar point to ride some coasters. One of my favorite amusement parks, and it's been like 5yrs since I've been. Can't wait!!
