  1. It shows the map is in there. On the back of the wata label in the 5th pic or whichever it says GSI: Legend of Zelda Map
  2. Another vote for Collectors Quest here, my favorite by far, Region Fee Gamers is another one I enjoy from time to time. A little lengthy for my tastes but if you enjoy the specific topic the episode is covering it's fine.
  3. Their place in history is unassailable, but I've always greatly preferred The Who. Logical or not that's always felt like an either or proposition.
  4. Anearth Fantasy Stories for the PC Engine. There's been a few jp rpg's translated for the system but not this one for whatever reason, and since the u.s. side was very light on rpg's I've always wanted more. The very last game Hudson published for the platform and you can absolutely tell as it looks gorgeous. One cool thing about your character development in the game stems from your choice at the very beginning. You're the orphaned baby in the snow in front of the church there and depending on who you choose to adopt you, determines the family you live with and ultimately what skill set you will have.
  5. Grabbed a Grind Stormer box and manual from him, silky smooth transaction, no complaints. Thanks!
  6. PC Engine for me. I love grabbing random lots off ebay or wherever and testing each one not knowing a thing about em. There's so many games on that console that are unlike anything else. For those of you with an everdrive give Gekisha Boy as shot for an example of what I mean.
  7. I voted 6 but I really dig some of their songs. Their acoustic sets are especially good. Also, this one is Heart enough for me as well.
  8. With all the wata/heritage hype I run into this dilemma daily. What if this inorganic speculative bubble turns out to have legs and minty hang tab boxes are worth a fortune? What if 2019 is my last chance to buy a nice Metroid for less than 4 figures? Me weighing the pro's/cons is a struggle sometimes. I've been around long enough to know that you'll always have another opportunity to grab something, but it's rare that the next opportunity is cheaper than the previous one. So to answer the question I will let the FOMO win if I'm positive it's something I would grab further down the road whether I buy this one or not. There aren't a ton of things that fit that description but I'd rather just have it now than hope it's cheaper the next chance I have to grab it.
  9. Yeah it's funny how this one has always been around $150. Back in the day Rondo and Radiant Silvergun were the two most expensive imports and neither one has increased that much.
  10. I've been saying that for years! NEC composite just looks better than everyone else's somehow
  11. Saturn library is like the N64 to me, great stuff at the high end but overall is pretty rough. I'd take u.s. turbo over u.s. saturn, sprites age better than polygons
  12. I'm glad you brought up John Wick, I didn't know that but I was trying to think of an example in that vein. Where an appearance might not be first but it is the first collectible appearance. I don't want to call arcades and home consoles different mediums like a movie and comic since they clearly aren't but that's kind of what I'm going for since they also aren't quite the same.
  13. And what about less famous first appearances, does anyone have a graded Gradius? Does it say first appearance of Vic Viper? I can kind of get with Arcades "not counting" for this sort of thing because it feels different. But I'd also ask why we even need first appearances, just to copy comic collecting that way? If they are going to keep this up then I fully expect my Turbografx copy of Fighting Street to say first appearance of Ryu and Ken.
  14. My favorite part is how it says "first appearance of Mario" and then follows that up with "port of the 1981 arcade game". Ports should definitely not get first appearance credits, what's the point of labeling something a first appearance if it wasn't actually that? I could accept first appearance in a home console or some variation like that. But as you pointed out what about the earlier verisons of the port? Will the same info be on those labels? I think they're rolling out Atari soon so that will be interesting to see.
  15. Yeah I mean the width is fine, and is the important part if shrink is still. But like I said the height is my issue with them. I've bought games before that have had them on that fit better. So they're out there somewhere.
  16. I'm sure this has been done before but what are everyone's favorite plastic box protectors for NES? I have some from both Video Game Box Protectors and Retro Protection and both of them are a little too tall for my liking. Anyone use Kollector Protector or have somewhere else they prefer to get them from?
  17. What version is the everdrive?
  18. You call that Gaudy? Hold my beer..... But to be fair that 5th joystick up top is for play with the spinner next to it, and all the joysticks have 7 buttons.
  19. I can't vouch for them personally but we have a local place that people seem happy with. Northcoast Custom Arcades https://www.mameroom.com/webstore_home.asp has a ton of options from diy kits to completely finished machines. Tons of options as well, upright, cocktail, pedestal, custom graphics etc... It ain't cheap but if they're looking for a more hands off experience it might be worth checking out.
