  1. I'm in the "too early to tell" camp in regards to the poll, but I have some thoughts about the topic in general. I guess I'm not a big believer in the 'rising tide lifts all boats' theory when it comes to all the new money that's entered the hobby recently. Hard to picture these comic folks caring about Pro Sport Hockey, Turbografx 16, Panzer Dragoon Saga or insert random game/console here. When it comes to collecting comics, most of them (from what I understand) don't have library-ish collections or full sets of Amazing Spider-man, X-men, etc... They own a handful of 'key issues' (hate that phrase) and that's it. So I doubt this trickle down price increase for everything people are speculating about comes to pass. Even if you just mean mint cib's for those high end sealed titles, I don't know if there's enough people getting into the hobby (or priced out of sealed) for that to be the case. I'm with Jone in that I don't like the un-natural trajectory the new money has put the hobby on. It isn't organic so it makes people uncomfortable, and also why people are quick to call it fake/scam/pumped, etc.. Also the xenophobic? (lol) part of me doesn't like that they're essentially changing the value calculator we've been using for years. I just find it hard to believe there's a 1 to 1 parallel from collecting comics to video games that way. Take the sealed vs cib thing, there really isn't a comic hobby parallel to compare that too, so I don't know if it's easy to assume mint cib stuff will rise like the sealed stuff has. Also, not proud of it but in an honest moment I'd tell you I'm disappointed/jealous that I've apparently been collecting wrong the last 18 years. I say that with a bit of sarcasm but it's absolutely true in this new market. I think that jealousy, lack of foresight, or whatever fuels a lot of the hate. I've probably had 10 sealed Zelda's in my collecting journey and only kept 1, had dozens of chances to buy sealed black box games and own 0, been on forums with Bronty, Qixmaster, and DreamTR for almost two decades and can't retire lol. But at the end of the day I love the stuff I have and the memories this hobby has given me, and me being right or wrong about my opinions above won't change any of that.
  2. AES has always been the one I've wanted to collect for. Cost is a consideration of course but it's really all the fakes out there that dissuade me more than anything. Since I don't know nearly enough I'm sure I'd get burned at some point.
  3. All of Cleveland is gripping due to the Browns rocky start. Hard to picture that turning around today but here's hoping
  4. I guess I technically am hoarding cic Dungeon Explorers. Not really on purpose, it's just my favorite hucard game and worth more to me than the $25 or whatever it's worth. So whenever I grab one in a lot I just put it on the stack
  5. It might not be anyone's favorite Zelda game but it's EVERYONE's favorite Dynasty Warriors game.
  6. I only got 47 and blanked on so many. Highlights include Wrecking Crew, and both Punch Out's
  7. Ys Book I & II for the Turbo CD. I've beaten the first book and then accidentally erased my save testing out Might and Magic III as it takes up the entire save bank of the Turbo Duo. If anyone has a password for starting at Book II give me a shout.
  8. Struck a deal to sell this beauty. Actually taking a lower grade plus cash. Any of you heavy wata/vga guys ever do that sort of thing? Ever regret it afterwards?
  9. Rain-X works amazing for removing marker, but it's alcohol based as well I believe.
  10. I wish I could add something poignant but I'm honestly thrilled for you. Congrats!
  11. That box art is excellent. We actually played this one the most though. Having 4 computers all lan'd up and a couple cases of bud light (ok.... natural light) was the best!
  12. Impossible question but gotta get the post count up! Civilization II and Ocarina of Time were the first games that came to mind but if I had looked at this thread tomorrow the answers could be completely different. As a quick aside I can see Breath of the Wild getting near the top of my rankings down the road once I'm convinced recency bias isn't in play.
  13. Agree with the Goldeneye campaign opinion. The added objectives and difficulty between Agent, Secret Agent, and 00 Agent were perfect. I wouldn't go so far as to say they made it feel like a brand new game, but it added a ton of replayability. Also, no Ninja Gaiden 3 in your top 5?......I knew it!
  14. Looking to put a dent into my Dreamcast set and I need plenty as you can see. Hoping to buy many at once but if you just have Giga Wing 2 or one of the more expensive titles let me know. Need to be complete and I'm not interested in Sega All Stars versions. 18 Wheeler4 Wheel ThunderAero WingsAero Wings 2Bangai-oBomberman OnlineBuzz LightyearCaesars PalaceCapcom vs SNKCharge N BlastChicken RunChu Chu RocketConflict ZoneCrazy TaxiD2Death Crimson OXDino CrisisDinosaurDonald Duck Goin QuakersDraconusDragon RidersEcco the DolphinECW Anarchy RulesESPN Track and FieldESPN NBA 2 NightExpendableF1 World Grand PrixF355 ChallengeFatal Fury Mark of the WolvesFrogger 2Fur FightersGauntlet LegendsGiga Wing 2Grand Theft Auto 2The GrinchGundam Side Story 0079Heavy Metal GeomatrixHidden and DangerousIllbleedIncomingJoJo's Bizarre AdventureKao the KangarooLoony Toons Space RaceMagForce RacingMaken XMat Hoffman's BMXMaximum PoolMidway's Greatest Hits Vol 1Midway's Greatest Hits Vol 2Monaco Grand PrixMr. DrillerMTV Sports SkateboardingNamco MuseumNBA 2kNBA 2k2NBA HoopzNCAA College Football 2kNFL QB Club 2000NFL QB Club 2001Omikron The nomad soulOoga BoogaOuttriggerPlasma SwordPOD SpeedzoneProject Justict (or case and manual)Railroad Tycoom IIRe-VoltReady to Rumble round 2Record of Lodoss WarRed Dog Reel Fishing WildResident Evil 2Resident Evil 3The RingRoadstersSeventh Cross EvolutionSilverSlave ZeroSno-CrossSoldier of FortuneSouth Park RallySpeed Devils online racingSpider-manSpirit of SpeedSports JamStar Wars episode 1 racerStar LancerStreet Fighter III Third StrikeStriker Pro 2000Stupid InvadersSurf Rocket RacersSuzuki AlstareSydney 2000Test Drive Le MansTest Drive V-rallyTNN Motorsports Hardcore HeatTokyo Extreme RacerTokyo Extreme Racer 2Toy Story 2 Buzz Lightyear to the rescueUnreal TournamentVanishing PointVirtua AthleteVirtua Striker 2Virtua TennisWacky RacesWetrixWho wants to beat up a millionaireWild MetalWorms ArmageddonWorm World Party
  15. Previously drewbrim on NA (and digital press) but decided to switch to my IG handle and apparently the internet has changed since 1999 and you shouldn't use your real name as a user name anymore.
