  1. My take from the box, it’s full as hell so good luck to the next person! I’ve sent tracking to @wongojack
  2. Gaming box has arrived at my house. Will add/subtract and get mailed out before Wednesday
  3. I think the worst part of this is trying Tetris pack the box back up for shipping lol
  4. Holy crap an eleven hour drive! You are a trooper
  5. Just booked up a hotel room and a Saturday only ticket for this event. Shit better be crazy cause $60 for a one day pass is expensive! At least I don’t have to fly for this one it’s about a 3 hour drive from me. Midwest Gaming Convention is less than a month away so I’m excited for that as well. I think next year I’m going to hit a west coast event. Anyone else headed to this one?
  6. Well that’s a bummer I went to play my new adventure island hucard and the shit doesn’t work. Goddamn 30+ year old games!
  7. Are there plans to get a US distributor? $85 for a CIB with shipping is a bit steep for me.
  8. Field of Dreams. Man Costner made great baseball movies ️
  9. Analogue Duo is the answer here edit: unless it’s that little gear that always breaks or a cable that needs reseating
  10. My only gripe with the NES weekly contest is all the rules. The TG16 contest was cool because the rules were easy. I blame Skinny with his turtle hopping bs
  11. My strat with this one since board pics on Famicom are impossible is to look for the ones that don’t have pristine labels. The other fakes have really obvious fake labels and some are missing the label on the back is what I’ve noticed thus far
  12. Based on the offers I’ve been trying to make Japanese sellers on eBay you got a heck of a deal lol
  13. I think @OptOut might be another overseas contact that may know of a local one for sale?
  14. I have noticed since I’m playing TG16 more that the manual scans are not as readily available online like NES or SNES are. Some I can find and others I can’t
  15. It’s definitely nice you have them all pretty much CIB. A lot of my set is loose and I had to store them in like card collecting binder so you can’t seem them in all their glory!
  16. Oh yeah 100% a follower but to an extent. I never got on the sealed or graded train but I’m fully onboard the homebrew scene. I didn’t get into the collecting game early enough to where there was still like a bunch of unknown things like variant collecting. I like to think I got in before everyone and their mother was on the scene hitting up yard sales and what not and buying up every single game someone was selling. I like to think of collecting in eras like pre 2010, 2011-2016ish, 2017-2020, 2021-present. Pioneers to me are pre 2010 for sure and the 50/50s are 2011-2016 and everyone else that came onboard is a follower, which isn’t a negative term for me it just means a lot of history is uncovered at that point and all the weird stuff has been documented. I came in around 2014 so I’m probably still mostly a follower but early on the homebrew scene lol
  17. Didn’t Mattel release the early games in Canada? Would make sense since I’ve seen an early SMB with a sticker seal but that box had French on it as well. I’d be on team Canada release on this one and it’s not sealed but still probably has value as a very very early Zelda release. All speculation of course maybe the keeper of odd variants knows? @ThePhleo
  18. I can name like 3 I haven’t bought because of cost/lack of interest and then leave two slots open for the future? 1. Stadium Events to complete my NTSC US set 2. Magical Chase to complete TG-16 (I have the PCEworks but it isn’t the same 3. The SNES Life Fitness Exertainment dual cart - complete my SNES set 4. Slot for future use 5. Slot for future use edit: if I can’t reserve slots 4 would be a NWC gold and 5…hmmm
  19. Jeez can you people just stop trying to right price games? Overpay and be happy at the opportunity!
  20. Sweet! I haven’t seen another one like mine!
  21. You’ve gone off the defensive end and completely misunderstood what I said. I wasn’t even talking about your games, I was just saying, as a joke, they all look suspicious to me in general hence the lol I understand that sometimes sarcasm doesn’t come across well as words but you need a chill pill my man
  22. Depends on how much money is involved with the last 5 games. I have zero patience so I’ll likely just buy all 5 at once on whatever platform (probably eBay) and be done. If they are a lot of money I’ll spread it out over a couple months. Luckily when I finished most of my sets, down to the last 5-10, I had a good spread of game costs. It wasn’t like every game I need was $500+ Some people have really great patience and will take 3-5 years to get the last 5 games they need for sets. I envy them lmao
  23. Saw that this is on the list for the NES weekly contest this year and wanted to grab a physical copy. The going rates on eBay seem a bit high so I was hoping people could chime in and speak on if they thought $600-$700 USD was a good rate. Also, if anyone has a legit one they’d like to part with I’m always down to deal. Or if @fcgamer or @Tanookiknow of one for sale local to them. eBay filtering didn’t really help me out for sold listings as it seems most people aren’t buying these and pricing charting seems to think the current listings are way overpriced. Anyway, all thoughts appreciated! Edit: Or is it stylized as Summer Carnival 92: Recca?
  24. I’ve done all of them except order from Columbia House. I remember the first time using an always on internet connection (DSL) and being amazed on how you just launch internet explorer and boom internet.
  25. I’m always suspect of prototypes, something just seems off on all of them to me lol I leave it to the big guns like @Code Monkey who collects these regularly and even he wasn’t immune to catching a fake one
