  1. I saw an eBay listing for a 5 screw Mega Man for $8,500 I feel like that is just someone fishing for a whale, I’m not even sure the real value would be half of that. Agree or disagree?
  2. Bunch o cranky people just trying to be different by saying Sonic 2 isn’t a good game. Plus y’all NA refugees just hate on Sega lmao
  3. Just a heads up you may also post those NFRs in our FS/FO forum as someone here might be interested in them. Can’t attest to what you should look for in value though. If someone was specifically looking for them you could charge a premium because they are indeed rare versions of common games. I think the most likely reason for those stickers was they were sold to Nintendo employees
  4. This person has a graded version of the Metroid up for $2k but just because it’s listed at that price doesn’t mean it will sell. What I meant is I don’t think you’d make much more going through the hassle of grading them vs selling them raw. Obviously the NFR should sell for more than the others but use ebay sold rather than price charting to determine value for those. https://www.ebay.com/itm/375224939548
  5. These are all common titles and they are all only Complete in Box or CIB since the way you describe it all the seals have been broken or fully removed. I wouldn’t bother grading them and just sell for as close to price charting as I could. Searching eBay sold listings may net better results.
  6. Never played it but the general consensus I’ve seen is if you dig FromSoftware games Sekiro is a must play. Plus you should be able to get it for less than $20 on console and probably less on Steam so I think it’d be worth it. I wouldn’t let one cranky review sway me lol
  7. Doesn’t even have those anymore, just 4x HDMI. Pretty much all TV makers are killing off RCA ports and just going HDMI which makes sense in this day and age. The RetroTink does that though where the green input is a shared input for the video cable on composite.
  8. I did some TV swapping around the house - new 77” C3 OLED upstairs so I had an extra 65” TV that the 77” replaced. Decided after offering it up to everyone I know to replace the one of the game room TVs with it which is an old Sony XBR 55”. Problem is I used it for retro gaming and it still had composite RCA input and the 65” Vizio didn’t have that port. I figured that port is probably dead now so I picked up a RetroTink 5x Pro to scale up the systems running on a composite 8 to 1 switch to HDMI. Updating the firmware now and curious to see how the systems look up scaled.
  9. Thanks to all those who replied and shared their wisdom. I think at this point it’s either a consolized/supergun MVS for me or trying something emulated as the price to get into this just seems pretty steep for basically fighting games and Metal Slug. I’m not sure I will take the plunge unless something really comes up that makes it worthwhile. Thanks again to everyone who posted!
  10. Just an update to this - a firmware update was posted on 3/29 that seems to resolve this although I dunno I still think it acts janky but definitely better than before. Keep your firmware up to date kids
  11. My favorite argument so far is Sonic 2 is gonna win because it’s popular and people haven’t played the other games in a fucking game collecting forum full of people who play a shit ton of different games across any system lmao
  12. Had a blast at this and it was really good to meet @Ferris Bueller @Scrobins @dale_coop @neodolphino @doner24 all in person and anyone else I missed cause I didn’t get their user name!!
  13. Oh wow he messaged me as well about grind stormer
  14. Something tells me he would do it for the right price lmaoo
  15. I saw NA signage but not VGS signage lmao
  16. I couldn’t really get comfortable playing this on the plane and on the switch but wanted to make sure I got a score in 9,190 level 4
  17. Didn’t even mention Tails….for shame!
  18. Everyone knows Comix Zone is the best genesis game anyways
  19. No one else headed to this!
  20. MGC this weekend!! I’m landing Friday night and gonna try to get my pass for the weekend then too. If anyone needs help setting anything up let me know! @Ferris Bueller @LaC
  21. Not gonna lie that thing looks dope but $1,200 and I still gotta find a decent shape donor board for it and actually buy a game to play….seems like a lot. Not sure if this is your picture or just one you found. On the off chance it’s your setup what do you think of the MVSX?
  22. Social media free since 2012. Only LinkedIn for finding new jobs and even that is on hibernate right now lmao
  23. Is there a specific supergun that you recommend? It’s my understanding there are many available. I’ve seen this option as well - which consolizer are you using and which MVS board variant? I do like having to buy cheaper MVS games over the more expensive AES versions but logically if that were the case I could just do the NGCD
  24. I picked up Dead Cells for Switch and I’m gonna play that and also need to play RC Pro Am for NES weekly contest
  25. I think a “Big Red” would definitely be the coolest way to go but finding one for sale and having to clean it up or find a working CRT for it and who knows whatever else work one might need or trying to find one mint would be very expensive and then buying the games on top of it….I dunno if I’m up for that kind of commitment lol. I think I’m definitely looking at a console version like AES with a UniBios or like @DorkOverlord suggested a Neo Geo CD since the games are on the cheaper side. I was also looking at the MVSX cabinets and they seem to be pretty cool and come with a good amount of the “bangers” that Neo Geo has. Sort of like a compromise to Big Red and no further money out on games. I might wander the vendor area at MGC and work a trade for an AES/NGCD if I can find one since I have an extra Sega Nomad I need to get rid of or go the MVSX route.
