  1. I don’t know of many people that count an NWC for the set. Final Fight maybe up for discussion but it was manufactured by Nintendo and has retail packaging. None of the LRG stuff was licensed by Nintendo. Same applies for all the Game Boy stuff LRG releases now. As always people can define their own set list. I think the majority has decided what goes into a licensed set by now and it can be altered from there to fit ones needs.
  2. They are not licensed by Nintendo which has always been the determining factor. I would consider it to fall under unlicensed retail release.
  3. Arcade Paradise ($29.99 USD) distributed through LRG Pre-Orders open at 12 PM EST on June 28th will remain open for a limited time.
  4. Glad I don't collect Japanese releases. I am sure there maybe a market for this
  5. A DS Complete set (over 1700+) is roughly $15-$18. There are about 70+ games that will take over at or over that $100 mark.
  6. I agree with the conflict of interest but any collector that has knowledge of the market is going to have a conflict of interest when there is value attached to it which is pretty much 95% of us. To me it boils down to when you got in the market and what you collect. If you got into the market 10 years ago swings are not going to matter much. If you collect sealed/graded games in the last 2-3 years they already have started to take a downward trend, do you hold or do you bail. If you’re a loose cart collector you maybe able to jump on items that newer collectors decided they don’t want anymore. It’s so hard to judge and in all honesty these talks have been going on for the last 20 years I have collected. I bought sealed games when they were dirt cheap or because I couldn’t find a CIB. I never sold when they market was booming and won’t now or if it drops. Once that money is spent for me it’s gone. In game collecting there are so many different ways you can collect and each has different market volatility that you have to be able to adjust.
  7. Unravel Two was released 4/13/2022 by https://videogamesplus.ca/products/unravel-2-switch?_pos=1&_sid=a5d7bb48d&_ss=r this was the first ESRB version to my knowledge. Still can purchase from them. I purchased when they announced they had the ESRB version. EDIT: PNP has it as well so must have been released in Canada first https://pnpgamesonline.com/product/unravel-2-e/ EDIT 2: Best Buy is showing a 6/10/2022 release date https://www.bestbuy.com/site/unravel-2-nsw-nintendo-switch/6510244.p?skuId=6510244 The Canadian and the Best Buy release have different UPC and text on the cover US - 014633382686 - HAC P ASGGAA - 3826801601 Canadian - 014633747928 - HAC P ASGGA - 7479201601
  8. How so? Sealed collectors generally don’t care about loose carts therfore, they wouldn’t bother answering his question because they can’t understand either. For example NWC hasn’t taken off like some other similar rare sealed games because it doesn’t have pretty artwork in a sealed box.
  9. I like the gamble but I’m not sure I would take it. It took me at least 6 months to find one at a GameStop 3+ years ago when I was wrapping up the 3DS. Not sure this will take a 50% drop in a couple years. Flat or down 20-25% sure….. but hey I’m still waiting for Gameboy prices to come down since 2010 lol.
  10. I bailed on Region collecting. At one time I had all NTSC and every English copy of PAL then followed by JPN/Asia. PAL and JPN went out the door and now I only get NTSC along whatever import I want to play. It was easy to get discounts on NTSC games but imports were much harder.
  11. Over a 100 with the oldest some Kickstarter game from about 5 years ago for a switch game that has yet to be released. I’ve learned what companies to pre-order at release, which ones to wait, what retail releases to scoop up and which ones to wait till they are on sale. It’s a balance but fun.
  12. No one scored. The site crashed immediately and would not allow anyone to login to the site. The waiting page you speak of came up about 11:50 after the site crashed. A few people got it into their cart (me included) but then the cart would show empty or said you reached the max allowed. Either AFAIK no one was able to check out.
  13. I believe English is in the cart https://www.play-asia.com/japanese-rail-sim-journey-to-kyoto/13/70d1bf
  14. As some with a “safe room” or vault type setup for strictly the games I can tell you it’s the best thing IMO. I don’t have to worry about kids getting to the games, the times something has to be serviced that’s in the basement (water hear or electrical panel for example) and my stress level is overall less knowing they can’t be seen unless I want you to see them. If you starting with a blank slate things to consider are 1. lighting- do you want can lights, LED on shelves, display lighting. Lighting is honestly the single most important thing. 2. If you plan to have cameras down there consider placement so you can run power. 3. For you main /display sitting area. Surround sound? Dolby 5.1, 7.1, 7.2.4. Running the speaker wire ahead of time saves a ton of time 4. Where are you mounting Displays? Are you going to setup like SeeJayAre with CRTs in every corner. If so you need to plan for power 5. Are you planning to add centralized air condition system. 6. Do you have any potential for leaks? Is the water coming in thru the basement and visible. 7. are there any humidity issue in the basement? If so think about how to address if you plan to use Cody’s system it’s very flexible. Map out your layout on paper and take corner turns into consideration so you don’t order more material than you need. I believe he mounted to the stud and skip a couple spots and plans to redo a couple areas. If studs are placed every 16” the it won’t sag but the upfront cost it higher. Last thing I’ve ran into is how do you plan to display console boxes or controllers, if any. starting from scratch is fun. Can’t wait to see the pictures of the progress.
  15. This isn't practical due to life safety concerns. You have to have means of egress in case of a fire which is more likely. There is no perfect solution but thru discussion I am sure thee can be a middle ground to keep children safe.
  16. Time to raise the age to buy firearms to 21 as a first step. There isn’t a perfect solution but I’m still miffed that you can buy a gun younger than you can drink.
