  1. Alan Wake. I know it was about the story but the controls were a drag and the combat was stiff.
  2. But a cheap sealed GBA and open it. I’m sure the order to changes
  3. I don’t think anyone is looking for you to buy into the concept but what I’m saying I believe represents the majority. These old games that we all collect target market was 12-24 back in the 1990s and later shifted….. they were targeted for kids, not you, and for you to dismiss their taste speaks volumes. The majority of gamers are now in that 18-34 area and that will be the driving force for how collecting goes. Anyhow, I can see the bigger picture and not just focused on my corner of collecting. I respect all collecting styles and will never pass judgement on another’s way of collecting games. I also respect the developers of these games and while some may not be my style, they will always have room on my shelf. Also, I don’t believe I ever mentioned young kids in my reply.….. so we are clear both the kids I spoke of are over 18 and their opinion means a lot to these companies that market games. I can draw the assumption based on your reply that you do not have kids thus your respect for their views wouldn’t align with mine…… you don’t have the experience.
  4. What’s great or good is in the eye of the beholder. Yes, there are exceptional games but it’s always on someone’s taste. I can tell you my daughter will want to walk into your game room and want to play Imagine Babies or Just Dance over Legend of Zelda or Call of Duty. Once you get over a certain amount of games it really is on what you desire as a collector because there is no way physically possible to play them all. Your style is to get what are your top xxx for that system, another collector may want to see a sea of 1200+ white spine Wii games or 1700+ DS games. What you believe is trash isn’t to others….. My son would walk into your game room and first question is where are the Madden and 2k games….. Sports games are among the best selling games every year but you don’t collect them. Does that make them trash? No, just not something you want to display or pull off the shelf and play.
  5. You have over 6,000 games if I recall correctly, do you actually think you will get to play them all? Not a chance and the same applies for the trash on DS and Wii. When you have reached the stage you decide to full set collect for multiple systems your goals are different along with the expectations that every game you’ll have a chance to play. Set collecting is for fun like anything else. Sometimes the beauty is assembling the trash nobody else wants.
  6. It takes a different type of breed to go after full sets, even in the past. You have to be ok with spending your hard earned money on a quite a few games you’ll never play BUT the trade off is worth it. If any friends comes over, remembers a game they played as a kid and if I collect for the system …… BOOM…..I’ll have it on the shelf or if I ever watch a video and they recommend a game it’s right there on the shelf
  7. There are three types 1. Made in Japan 2. Made in Mexico 3. Assembled in Mexico Made in Japan came 1st and at some point Nintendo transitioned some games to manufacturing in Mexico thus Made in Mexico. They usually start with U/ in the product code. Assembled in Mexico are reprints of popular games and have black and white manuals with trash box quality. As mentioned earlier only Frogger is the 1st print of those of about 26 or 27 games.
  8. I will forever collect full sets although I the grind of it at times has me at a pause until I’m ready to go full speed. I’ve got 3-5 more sets I may want to accomplish before I hang it up….. you not alone. LONG LIVE FULL SET COLLECTORS!
  9. I know what you meant..... there has been no major slow down in those months from my data. Historically Dec/Jan has always been slow months for new releases. The switch will pass 2000 NA releases next year.
  10. This has been their largest year of releases..... 384 physical releases actually shipped. (there are still over 100 in the pre-order stage from Big Box retailers and Limited Prints)
  11. I believe Nintendo really wants that #1 slot as the best selling game system passing the PS2. They are going to hold on as long as they can to make it happen. once they announce the next gen system it will hurt them so I say early 3rd qtr announcement for holiday season. The Switch 2 from a tech standpoint won’t have 4k on the handheld but I expect a different dock that will have a graphics processor in it to get you to 4k. Look for improved joy-cons and maybe even an option to buy one with a D-Pad. I think they play it close to the vest and no gimmicks just improvements across the board and people will say this should have been the Switch Pro. Backwards compatibility has some challenges from a technical standpoint so we will see how that goes.
  12. No, picked that one up a long time ago. Thanks for checking in.

  15. This list has been out 20+ years. I had this in the early 2000s. There is also one for SNES and Gameboy. They exclude 3 or 4 games on this list one being Mike Tyson Punch Out however, Stadium Events is on there.
