  1. I know I don't need it. I can play Super Mario Bros. a dozen different ways already. But it's so cool, and is by far the best 'version' of a Game and Watch ever. Maybe I'm just a brainwashed Nintendo fan, but I want this on a shelf in my collection. Not going to buy from a scalper though, if I miss out it'll suck, but so be it.
  2. So you can drive it. You would drive a real kart on a real track, while wearing AR glasses. You would see the power-up blocks, coins, banana peels, koopa shells, opponents, etc. on the real track you are driving on. Augmented reality isn't the same as virtual reality.
  3. The small print does say it "may be offered as a paid item at a later date." So hold out hope that you can get the Lucky Ladle for only $5!
  4. This is annoying, a pre-order bonus only for the digital version. At least it's a stupid bonus I won't miss, probably.
  5. Sometimes the journey is better than the destination. Looking forward to Age of Calamity for sure!
  6. I always want to put two d's in there for some reason, odd.
  7. Wow this looks so good. You get to actually play the story of the Calamity in the fun Hyrule Warriors style. What I liked about this game before was being characters other than Link and the neat styles that came with them. This looks like all that and then some, a more focused (and perhaps canonical) narrative is exactly what this series needed to be truly great. It wasn't mentioned in the video, but the four champion amiibo are being re-released for this game.
  8. Super Mario Odyssey is my favorite Mario game, and may be just straight up my favorite game. As for the moons being everywhere, I watched my my youngest son beat the game by himself at six years old. Sure moons literally everywhere are really what made that possible, and it makes perfect sense to me that they made it that way. A more 'advanced' player can still be challenged by getting the harder moons, or getting them all. I know my progress getting them really slowed the further past 500 I got. Nintendo understands they have a wide audience of players, and they made this game to cater to the whole of their player base. Casual gamers can enjoy it, and get the credits to roll, and hardcore players can dig deeper and get more of a challenge out of it.
  9. It'd be cool if after March they just change it to Mario 36, then the next year change it to Mario 37... Mario 35 would still be limited, but then we'd get to keep on playing!
  10. The budget wasn't very large and stuff got cut from the original vision, just like the first two films. But you can tell the people making it were having fun and loving it. I'm glad it wasn't some studio committee's movie made only to have maximum appeal for maximum dollars. They don't make many movies like this anymore.
  11. Also that Tetris 99 looking SMB 35 they announced is only playable until March.
  12. According to Nintendo's website the MSRP on the Game & Watch is only $49.99. Also the Mario Karts are $99.99, so $200 if you want both karts.
  13. I had so much fun watching it with my kids this morning, so I understand the reasoning for wanting to wait.
  14. You're just disappointed that there aren't cat Luigi, Toad, Rosalina, and especially Bowser to complete a set. I know I am. No really, why you guys hate Amiibo?
  15. Okay it seems like limited on Super Mario 3D All Stars means... they will delist it from the eshop in March. Maybe it also means they will keep physical in print until March too.
  16. These weren't in the direct but there are 2 new Amiibo for Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury coming in Feb too.
  17. Nintendo and their danged limited quantities nonsense. I kind of understand the Game & Watch as that's hardware and kind of niche (and what if its like $100?), but limiting the physical copies of a Mario game?! Its so dumb.
  18. I loved that my kids were flipping out almost as much as I was. They wanted everything they saw lol. I will have to get them Mario Kart Live, even though I don't know if we'll have the space to play it.
  19. So many things I want!! How about that Game & Watch?! OMG!!
  20. Who else watched it? I thought it was out on the Sept 1st but it looks like it came out last Friday, so I'm a little late to the party. Anyway I just finished watching it, and thought that it was most excellent. It's not going to win the "Best Bill & Ted Movie" award, but it was very enjoyable. It was nice to visit with old friends that haven't been around in while and to get the ol' nostalgia buds tickled. And I'm sure I'm not the first to say this; a feel good movie is just what everyone needs in 2020.
  21. Area 12, 108360 THIS IS THE BEST GAME EVER!! I didn't even know about this shmup level only code.
  22. Here's my haul for August: Got a sweet deal on the SNES games from my buddy. I actually got Little Nemo last month, but it got separated from the others and was hiding in my car for a bit. Grabbed Kirby because I like Kirby and eventually want to get all the first party GB games. Maneater is really fun, I recommend if you like the idea of being a shark in an open world rpg. Got Galak Z/Skulls of the Shogun for Switch at GameStop, they'd marked it down to $10. Galak-Z is pretty fun, I have it digitally on PS4 already, never played Skulls of the Shogun but will give it a try. Anyway, the package/cart is neat with the different ESRBs than the normal single E-T symbol they would usually throw on a collection package. Plus, physical for life!! And finally I got the Super Game Boy guide from MiamiSlice, thanks again. No, I didn't just get it for a bingo square, I want all these earlier first party guides and I didn't have this one yet. The bingo square just kicked me the pants to go ahead and get it.
  23. Yay! Thanks Gloves! And Lol @DefaultGen! <---------
