  1. It was alright. I didn't like it as much as Ready Player One though. It apes the Last Starfighter but is still is it's own thing.
  2. I know what you mean. It was slim pickings and I bought practically all the in case 3DS games they had left. I left them with like a LEGO Batman 3 and Disney Infinity.
  3. I got quite a lot this month. I'd been casually buying NES games at the local retro store, trying to drop $20 in there every visit, but it's closing down this month so I grabbed some stuff that I'd been eyeing. Also I got Sim City there earlier in the month. Gamestop had a deal where if you buy five or more games under $20 they were 50% off, so I grabbed all six 3DS, two Wii U, and Rayman Def. Edition there for about $60. Also got Paper Mario (and pre-order pins, not pictured) at GameStop. I ordered Timespinners on the Switch from Best Buy after Game Sack talked about it in a video a few weeks ago, I'd not even heard about it before then. I got Super Bomberman R off a buddy for $10. And finally, I got the 8bitdo SNES controller for my Super NT from Amazon for $25 when they finally got more.
  4. There is a drive in about 40 miles from my house. But I've never noticed them have first run movies.
  5. I think the pandemic perma-killed the AMC in my town... gonna have to stream it myself.
  6. Second trailer came out today! Says In Theaters and Streaming on September 1st. Wow it even had Ted's dad returning.
  7. Had to vote, "Never played it, but I'm interested." As much as I love Nintendo I never got into Pokemon (or Animal Crossing). I played my first Pokemon game Shield last year and my youngest son played Sword. We had lots of fun with those and now I guess I'm interested in going back to the older ones. I did however give up on Moon pretty quickly, but probably just cause we went to those so soon after Sword/Shield. He didn't give up on Sun as fast as I did.
  8. I didn't think RE7 was a movie with button presses. RE6 is the one with the 'most' game play, and I feel that I'm the only person in the world that likes it. So what do I know? It broke my heart that when I found out RE7 was going to be in first person. But then it plays on PSVR, and is by far my favorite game for the VR. Since RE8 is also first person I'm hoping it will be for the VR too.
  9. Nice 1Up Arcade, I keep hoping to catch the TMNT one at the local Wal-Mart for half off. At one point they had a pallet full of them so it seems likely. I haven't been in there for months now, but I have a buddy working there that's supposed to let me know if it ever goes down.
  10. Thanks! Yeah I have the Ghaleon puppet, he's in the first pic but mostly cropped out. Those puppets seem to be more common than the game!
  11. Oh hey, Patlabor! Remember when cutting anime into real videos was a thing, then fans just made anime videos for almost every song there ever was? As for that Aphex Twin video... well, don't watch it with the kids in the room.
  12. This was really what I enjoyed about Ready Player One and Armada anyways.
  13. Do you think that's a sticker on that cart? LEGO doesn't really do stickers right? On top of the $250, if you want the music to play you got to buy a whole different set. I see what you are up to LEGO.
  14. I showed my son Jurassic Park when he was eight. I was surprised at how scared he was of it, but it seemed just the right amount of scary for his age.
  15. How did I miss that this was coming?! I loved the first book and really liked the movie. Hopefully Will Wheaton will do the audio version again.
  16. It says LO-TECH, but then it's a flat screen. Silly LEGO. Lol I've only collected some LEGO Dimensions stuff, and my kids have some smaller Minecraft sets. This is temping though, I may have to start saving up for one of these.
  17. Got it in today and it looks awesome in person! Now someone make a Sage Amiibo I can put beside it. Thanks Crazy Climber!
  18. Great job on those, they turned out awesome!
  19. Like this one? To me, that's the kind of thing that makes videos so great. I'll agree with you in that I can't get behind the added sound effects in most cases.
  20. Here's a good one with Leonard Nimoy. Unfortunately he doesn't sing in this one. Yes, this is the second Bangles video I've posted. And yes, they are my faves.
  21. I wanted to share some stuff from my collection with all of you. I'll be posting things here over time instead of all at once. Please comment on what you think and maybe point out some things I might be missing or would want to add to my collection. I don't have my own space right now, had to give my game room to my second son almost ten years ago, so my whole collection is packed away in a tiny four square foot closet. And it's packed floor to ceiling. So this is a fun way for me to 'display' and share! Enjoy! First up is my Lunar collection. Thought this would be great to show off at the top here, seeing as I have a Lunar 2 avatar that I've used forever. These pictures didn't turn out super great, I might re-take them if I ever have time to dig all this stuff out again. The Sega CD versions of these games are my favorite. Maybe it's nostalgia because I played them first, but I really think they are more fun to play and I like the older style of graphics (the animated cut scenes blew my mind back in the day). Don't get me wrong though, I love the re-makes too. Many years ago now I bought those two Japanese Mega CD and three Saturn games on eBay for almost nothing. I didn't get the mpeg versions on Saturn because I remember they weren't very cheap. I don't recall why I didn't get the Japanese Playstation versions, seems like I should have. Up in the right corner is the Ghaleon boxing puppet, has was a pre-order bonus, everyone has him so he got mostly cropped out. There's an Alex puppet apparently, but impossible to get. You can see I've got two each of the US Complete versions on Playstation. Well not quite, the first one is the actual retail release and the second one is an empty retail display box: These displays are very cool, as you can see they have different artwork on the back. I forgot to open the front flap for the pictures, I think that it has different text about the game printed under there. I will try to remember to update next time I get them out. Also the Lunar 1 boxes are the same size, the Lunar 2 display is the same size as the Lunar 1 display, so significantly smaller than the final retail version. Here are some guides and the portable games. I didn't realize until today that my Lunar 1 Complete guide had gotten discolored on the front cover, it was fine on the back cover and inside though. I'd also like to get the Sega CD versions of the guides someday. I don't have the Japanese version of Dragon Song (Lunar Genesis) or the PSP game, but I feel like I'd gotten past buying games that I couldn't play properly at this point in my collecting. Plus Lunar Dragon Song was so bad I didn't want a second copy. At some point I'd like to get a CIB Lunar Magic School on the Japanese Game Gear. I don't remember exactly how I got this demo disc. I think it was a pre-order bonus, but I'm not 100% on that. It's great that I have it though. Aside from the Japanese Saturn and Mega CD games I'm the original owner of all these games. I even still have the receipt for Lunar 2 on Sega CD: There are still plenty of things still left for me to collect for Lunar. Like if I win the lottery (which I don't play anyway) I would get all the disc variants. There are guides, posters, the Japanese GG game, Japanese manga, art books, and soundtracks that I could go after. And if I see them out and about I'd snag them up, but I don't like collecting via eBay very much. Oh, I do have one of the posters for mailing away directly to Working Designs, but it's in one of many poster tubes right now. I remember it's for one of the Complete games, but I haven't looked at in so long I don't even remember which one it was. I have played them all (didn't finish Dragon Song though) and I love this series. I haven't played them through in many years now, I may have to set aside some time for that.
