  1. I ran from the cops when I was like 12. Halloween night doing some minor vandalism (spray painting the grass). Cops didn't want to try and chase us down and we ended up sneaking away. In college I asked to be given a breathalyzer test while drunk when the cop had pull a guy over in my dorm. Asked me if I was planning on driving (nope), where I lived (the dorm he's next to), and then told me to go home (yes sir, have a good night). I've seen people in cuffs just because I live in the city but I've never seen someone get cuffed.
  2. Oh man, if I play a WW game then my negative score count is going to sky rocket I don't know if I can buy enough Grippo BBQ chips to make up for all those negative waves. T-Pac must really vibe with Oddball from Kelly's Heros.
  3. When I buy quality stuff I avoid "Made in China". Instead I look for "Made in Taiwan" or I look for "Made in Germany". I do like when a quality product IS made in America. But I don't seek out "Made in America" because I know we can make crap shit just like any other country. But if I find a good/quality brand that is American made, sure, I'll support them. Just like I support Taiwan and Germany made stuff too because I more than happy to support those countries economies too. The more I learned about China and Taiwan situation the more I want Taiwan to become a VERY successful country with no influence from ANY country that they don't want to be allies with.
  4. This store is lame. When you going to have PSVR games in stock??
  5. Pffff, Tom Sharpe believes China is preparing for a war that they will initiate when an opportunity arises. I couldn't even find out what credentials this dude has to spewing out such a alarming news article. Fact is China is ramping up there military. But so is the US, India, Japan, South Korea, Australia, and a dozen more countries. The title is click bait to be alarmist about a war. Real experts in this field say we may be heading to a chilled war. A milder cold war/arms race, like what happen with US and Russia. But nowhere near as bad as that.
  6. Man these reports seem so weird. I thought Yahoo was reputable but then saw they just reposted/shared a story from The Telegraph (UK). Never heard of them so look them up, https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/daily-telegraph/ I'll stick with a more factual based reporting new agencies.
  7. In Ohio we often redact the whole names as it's not a critical part of the crash reports. If you know where to look you can get the unredacted one very easily as the report itself is a public document. I DOUBT this was a special case for her but a general policy to provide privacy if it's not needed. AKA I would redact phone numbers, e-mail addresses if people want to know what comments we received. Now if they asked specifically for unredacted documents I would do that, they are technically public documents. Not that people think too much about what they give to the government when providing feedback (complaints). But if you specifically ask them if they want anyone to know their name and phone number I think they would say no. They just wanted the government to know that so they could probably respond back to them or get a hold of them for further information.
  8. Oscilloscopes are not too uncommon. I would think most electronic repairs shows would have one. I meant it's like $350 for a very decent model. If you have the instruction manual I think it would be very easy for them to do this work for you. There are some cheap ones available on Amazon (sub $100) but I have no idea if they are worth it given what you want to do.
  9. Hit it right on the head. FOMO and grinding seem to be key aspects of these kinds of games. Don't get me wrong, sometimes I just like to grind. But when the grind feels like a chore/work then I bail. Unless there is a foreseeable end and I don't need to spent a shit ton more time to get there. This what JRPGs are for me. If the grind isn't bad then they are for sure playable. If grinding is a bare to do then I'll skip the game. KHII I put in a STUPID amount of time playing/grinding because I just liked doing it and I didn't have a massive game backlog to entice me to play another game instead. Now I have so many games to play I value my game time and have to make very hard choices when taking on a long game to play. I have to remind myself it's OK to play one game a long time so long as I enjoy it. It's not a goal to play as many games as possible. The goal is to have fun and try new things. But not limiting myself from playing old games I've played before entirely.
  10. Given that I spent 9 year in college... I put my vote in "post-grad" given that I was given the title of "Professional Student" for all my credit hours I earned without a degree. If a college thinks I was beyond "undergrad" then I think that should apply hear. I didn't have a ton of systems as a kid growing up (atari 2600, NES, & Game Gear). I don't know why I didn't pressure my parents for a newer system. I had my brother's hammy down Genesis and bough games for cheap on it (PSOne was out) and then my brother sold it for I can only assume was like $20 (real dick of a move thinking about it now). So yeah, when I had consoles I also spent a ton of time outdoors and playing school sports. As an adult in college I started to get into gaming again. 5th year of college I bought a PS3. Around 6th year is when I played the most. I got my orders that I was getting deployed to Iraq so I spent 2.5 months living it up after Fall quarter was over. I still wouldn't say I spent a TON of time playing video games. Mostly because I didn't have any friends with a PS3. If they had a console it was a Wii or Xbox 360 or no system at all. Hell, I'd say during the peak time of gaming I spent an equal amount time at a bar or friends house drinking beer and shooting the shit. Video games are a FAR cheaper hobby then beer drinking, FYI.
  11. Yeah, I've heard the term a few times. I think it's an "industry term" that is used for games. Last one that failed was the MultiVersus. Basically ever major game publisher is looking to make one game that keeps getting people to pay money for content that is stupid cheap to make while raking in a ton of cash because of the "huge player bases". They call them forever games because they want you not just play them forever but constantly pay for new content forever. And that is the key thing, you have to pay multiple times through the "life" of the game. Any game with a one time/limited time cost wouldn't fit the industry term of a forever game. I'd say Destiny 2 is the "best" example of a forever game for a player's perspective. They actually give you new story expansion like MMO's do unlike the shooters that just give you a new skin and a couple of new maps. But yeah, a key component to these forever games is they all have multiplayer as the key playing style. And unlike COD & Battlefield, they don't release a whole new game ever year/couple of years.
  12. MMO's may be considered by some as OG' of forever games. But current games that fit this naming convention would be like Destiny 2, PUBG, Fortnite, etc. So not always "story" but content that is constantly released. MMO's I would say are sub-category as they do make new content all the time to keep you playing.
  13. I've played a couple of these kinds of games. I ended up enjoying them for a while but actually never even get to the current "endstory" before I loose interest and stop. Since I know there is no end I don't feel the urge to keep playing to "complete" the game.
  14. Forever games are kind of a new thing. Games that will have DLC to constantly continue the story so they effectively never have an ending. What do you think of these types of games being made. Is this the new fade game like shooters were for the PS3 and Xbox360 era?
  15. I would say it's cult classic in that it's a good movie that goes under people's radars. Absolutely caulk full of great actors.
  16. Reed, have you done a poll about Nothing But Trouble yet?
  17. 7, good movie but not exactly something you need to watch.
  18. I hate forums like that. Those kind of restrictions make me not use that forum and find another. I don't think the goal is to make it impossible for spam to happen but to make is reduced to a manageable amount while allowing new people to engage with the community in a pretty painless way of doing the typical bot screening questions.
  19. I mean I can't blame the dogs when people stop by and give them a gift to unbox. Unfortunately they seem to always forget to pack the gift/toy in the box they drop off
  20. P.O. Box might be a thing to look into. UPS does something similar too and that avoids an issue of "no shipping to P.O. Boxes". I know the Post Office really don't like things with fire hazard warning labels too so many lithium powered items are not suppose to be shipped to a P.O. Box.
  21. Yeah, I see something like that and I don't even attempt to say the name. Or you can say that I pronounce it as "that one game with the really weird name that no one can pronounce".
  22. Yen must be taking a hit. I thought it was more like $487. And also explains Optouts joke about college.
  23. I finally want to the talking to stop and the fists to come out to settle the debate....
  24. This looks like PS4 VR game. Be fucking bad ass if another VR game that is cross play with flatscreeners comes out.
