That's the joke.

Commercially, stores practically take down Halloween decorations on the night of the 31st and instantly shift gears hard to Christmas.

If Halloween wasn't on the calendar, I'm pretty sure Christmas shopping season would have already rolled forward to labor day 😛

Walmart in my town started putting out Christmas stuff in the last week of August

In that case, why no Christmas avatars yet?

I can't get a santa hat to fit on my Gun-Nac ship. 😞

Despite the commercial hype for Christmas starting around Arbor Day or whatever, I think most North American denizens want to keep it all in December. 🙂

This is my favorite time of the year except for how hot it gets here in Brazil.
The stores start storing and selling Christmas decorations around mid October since Halloween isn't really a thing here.

I would put my tree up at the beginning of November but I decided to make a few renovations in the apartment so I will probably put the Christmas decorations on November 30.

And this year I will spend a week in New York between December 15-22 to see the Christmas decorations, the Rockettes show and buy a few things.
I'm really looking forward to this.
