I think I stumbled upon that when I beat Commando last year. I can't be sure, because I've only beaten it once and have minimal experience with the second half of the game. That is absolutely the one!! I did grenade the walls up until I ran out, after that point I was hooped. Lol. Needless to say I was extremely annoyed. But I think this time, instead of the homebrew/hack/unreleased sections, I want to add some modern non-NES 'retro sequels'. Not just anything, but stuff that is obviously based on NES games.
