Butt update

Gamegearguy

So I keep putting neosporin on it but it will not disappear. I actually can now sit without a whole bunch of pain as long as I have padding under my butt. I tried to sit on a wooden chair and it hurt more that way. Fortunately the chair in front of my computer has padding on it so I can sit for a long period of time now. So what do I do when I sit in front of my computer? This:

Despite all these screenshots I am not that far into the game yet. I got really bored of working on Ugly Uppity Umpire so I decided to take a break from it and work on something else instead. But now I have a new problem: I'm getting sick of making games as a whole. I will stop working on games for a few weeks. When my hand(s) get(s) better from the blood test (they have to take it out of my hand because I have no veins in my arms) I will resume. I'm going to the doctor on August 1.

Why does this story require 2 separate threads? I didn't see that one.

Because it’s on dude’s blog.  I for one am highly anticipating the exciting conclusion to the butt rash saga.

He didn't provide a link to his weblog, where is it? Is it a separate website?

Bro THIS is his blog. You're commenting on his blog right now.

Have you never clicked the 🍔 menu on this website?

I must be really missing something here, I thought this was a forum. Do people call forums weblogs now?

I only ever click "unread content" and nothing else.

Yes this is a forum, which has a blog feature:

Anyway, this discussion has nothing to do with OP's blog, so I suggest just like... clicking around the website sometime. And nobody calls them "weblogs" - everyone calls them "blogs".

This isn't necessary. You wouldn't like it if I critiqued problems with your posts.

There is totally a link to the previous entry immediately preceding you're first post.

You wouldn’t get teased so much if you just stopped and thought for a second everytime something didn’t make sense to you. Ask yourself: “does it actually not make sense or if I make the slightest of efforts would I figure it out?”

You’re also known for making judgemental comments about other people here without asking follow up questions that would provide context. So when people feel a sense of schadenfraude over you flailing about in confusion, it’s frankly self-inflicted.

I appreciate the explanation but I try to simply ask others whenever I get confused, it seems like the easiest, most logical solution to anything. If I don't understand something, I have the option to stumble around and try to figure it out for myself or simply just ask. The problem is the way society seems to operate is that you can't ask people questions about why something works a certain way or why someone does something specific. People get uptight that you're challenging their methods when all I'm doing is just asking so I can understand and move on with my day.

I've been a member of this forum since the day it started and other forums since the mid 1990s. I have never in my life clicked a forum post and been taken to a middle entry of a weblog without any context nor explanation that I had left the forum entirely. The fact a weblog exists here is fine but you can't tell me it isn't confusing when the links show up on the forum side. I had no way of knowing I wasn't still on the forum. Can I hide these posts so I don't see them?

I'm sorry to have caused all this nonsense on a weblog post but I had to defend the fact that it's absolutely legitimate for me to be confused reading the middle portion of a story without any warning it was a story at all. If you go back and read how it started, all I did was ask Gloves if this was a forum, if I was still on the forum and how I got here. All I did was click on a link from the "unread content" section of the forum.

You still haven't.

They don't.

You're on a website. This website has multiple sections and features, including but not limited to:

  • a landing page (simple static web page)
  • a forum (most users' primary interactions with the site are in this section)
  • blogs
  • clubs
  • databases
  • a store
  • a calendar for events
  • a leaderboard

You've simply decided to label the site a "forum" and ignore the existence of the rest. You've walked into a forest, saw a tree, and gone "This is a tree farm", completely ignorant of the wildlife and other fauna.

Again though, this is just jumbling up OP's blog needlessly. @Code Monkey you're an adult capable of rational thought, research, and exploration. Click around the website and let that be the end of the conversation. There's no need to carry it on any further. People don't like your questioning posts because it ISN'T the "easiest" method of obtaining information, because it's effort for others - you're being selfish in not doing the slightest bit of legwork and making others do it for you. My post here took time and effort I shouldn't have to put in when you can extremely easily just click around the website for like 2 minutes. So do that and stop asking objectively silly questions.

Maybe next time a blog pops up you might stumble on these to let you know it's a blog.

Valid point but it's weird a blog post showed up in the list of forum posts.

I did figure out how to filter though, so it will no longer be an issue. When clicking "unread content," you can filter out weblog posts in the results using the filter options at the top. I appreciate everyone's advice.

That was a lot of reading with a few detours, but I think I have FINALLY figured out what the hell is going on here.

Good luck with your butt, @Gamegearguy!! Try not to be so concerned about the Dr. and just explain to them what's going on. They have people come in to tell them things like this on a daily basis. It's literally their job to help people and hopefully they can help you find a solution.

Best thing you can do is book the appointment and go in to see them so you've done that, good job!!! Now just go in and let them do their job.

In the meantime, maybe if you're not enjoying MAKING games for the time being you could play some, organize them, or clean the ones you have? Maybe finally beating a game you've always wanted to can be fun. Maybe rearranging your space or adding a different shelf will help in "sprucing things up". 😎👍
