  1. YESSS! Another bauble for the profile! *winning*
  2. I liked the way this worked on NA (and correct me if I'm not remembering this properly). You would get the "badge" for completing it. When the game series gets a new release, it gets added to the requirements (pending approvals). All new submissions would require the new release. Folks that had obtained the "badge" already get to keep it. They do not need to get the newly released game. If that's _not_ how it worked and this was just an idea in my head, then I say we go with this
  3. This one makes me sad because it's in great shape otherwise...
  4. What people think you do when you tell them you're a pen tester:
  5. It's a dirty job, but somebody has to do it (giggity)
  6. Must ... resist urge........ to complete more.............. FULL SETS!
  7. Ah, gotcha. No worries. Thanks for stopping in!
  8. I kept seeing this topic pop up this week. I wasn't sure what to make of it. I don't feel anything i've eaten would be considered terribly exotic, but I think that's an exercise left to the reader. Some of my oddities: - Venison (beef-tip style over noodles, jerky, steaks, and ground) - Uni - Spam musubi (freaking delicious) - Elk - Ostrich - A variety of ethnic foods that, depending on where you live or have traveled, may be considered "exotic": Korean, Japanese, Cantonese, Thai, Indian (but really, any major metro area has these) - Chicken tikka masala pizza I love trying new foods, but it doesn't happen too often these days. Some of the stuff folks have mentioned here sounds massively gross to me (i.e. sea cucumber). But... you never know until you try it!
  9. So, I picked up a similar game (but it seems to be the same one) years ago in a Facebook group. Here's a photo: And I posted a short video for some folks on NintendoAge: I'm not a super-mega Pokemon fan. Is this the same thing? I did enjoy it for the short time that I played it
  10. +1 for fast payment and good buyer (silver GameCube console only, DOL-101 model).
  11. Sale to Jeevan of silver GameCube console (DOL-101), console only
  12. It's pic #4 above (but not a close up) - I can post close up pics if needed
  13. The 32x set has 31 games? I feel like this is a completely missed opportunity
  14. Added some photos and a link to my VGS feedback thread. PM me if interested in items or if you have questions.
  15. I know the PSP-1001 model isn't the best for emulation, but it's doable. I often play NES or SMS when I travel using my PSP-3000. It might be something to look into later on, if you're into that. As for games, the PSP has a great library. Admittedly, I've not played many of the UMD-based games on the PSP (I use it mostly for emulation). However, I do still collect them! Some notable series that have PSP entries are: Ghosts and Goblins (mentioned above) Mega Man Final Fantasy Ys R Type Bomberman Yu-Gi-Oh! Grand Theft Auto Castlevania (mentioned above) Namco Museum Street Fighter I'm sure I've missed something good, but I feel that's a solid list that will likely have something you're interested in. You've just fallen into a deep gaming hole!
  16. Sweet. Thanks for adding these, Gloves (and team). I always thought they were fun (albeit never-ending) Full loose licensed NES set:
  17. That's money right there. FREAKIN $MONEY$ I love it!
  18. I agree with everyone. Use a positive outlook to your advantage. It sounds like you want to be okay, so know that you WILL be okay! Best wishes!
  19. What if we do something like take the list of NES games, randomize their order, and then do a random number gen to pick games? This make go really well or really poorly As for all the posts I've missed here since my last reply - I love it. It feels like Paperboy week during the 2017 contest. There are many familiar faces here, which is fantastic. As for how much people will play, that's hard to determine... if history dictates what's to come at all, it means I'll be playing a fair bit.
  20. Thanks for reminding me about that site! I'm still trying to catch up to where I was before I stepped away To comment on the point about not many people here with coding skills... I'm not so sure about that. I will speak for only myself and say that I write code often (for work and for myself). Now are folks willing to participate in a community project or similar? I think that's the real question. I started putting together a local database for myself a number of years ago. I've shelved the project for many years now. Recently, I began working on it again (but not for the masses - for a nerd like me; CLI-based, written in Python). It's meant to be a very fast and responsive system for quick queries. I do have some thoughts on creating a better solution for everyone... I started a Github project that I'm calling FRIGID (Free Retro Independent Game Inventory Database). The aim is to create community-vetted, accurate, and freely-available database(s) for gaming; whatever the purpose. I feel this is long overdue and will help to standardize things as well as help people move away from spreadsheets (if they so choose). More to come on this project because it's very much in the beginning stages. I'm hopeful that folks will be interested in collaborating and making things easier for everyone.
  21. It seems as though you've already received the answers to your questions here. I love talking about the NES set! Here are a few of my experiences... I started my full set pursuit around 2012. When I found NA, I used the full set list from the games database. I recently put my set together again (I had moved and not unboxed it all). I have a loose licensed set. There were a few things in the NA list that bugged me. Alphabetization was the biggest one. Tulpa's list above looks exactly like what I ended up with (after reading my old NA spreadsheet AND the list on Wikipedia). As already mentioned by others, 677 carts is the most common agreed-upon number that I have seen over time. Then there's Tengen. Once you get into Color Dreams, American Video Entertainment, Camerica, and Wisdom Tree, you add a lot to your list. Some folks also count homebrew, though I don't think that makes a lot of sense. But again, it's all about what you want to do. I think both the licensed and unlicensed stuff that was originally released for the NES during it's production days is awesome. If you want any of these sub-lists, let me know and I'll PM them to you.
