  1. I put 5/10. It's a game I've played every few years since release, and always *think* it'll grab me, but it doesn't. Same goes for Radiant Silvergun. TBH, I don't think I'm much of a Treasure fan at all. On the flip, I do love other shmups - namely stuff Cave put out.
  2. I've never seen the Arcade Shark before but it looks cool.
  3. where's Bloodstained: Curse Of The Moon 2? where's Castlevania Anniversary Collection? where's Bladerunner?
  4. bump. Post holiday cleaning time. Working on getting this trade list in order again. Will be adding more soon.
  5. good point. I guess my wish is a few too many steps ahead.
  6. Is there a physical version of Cuphead? I feel like there was a "code in a box," but I didn't know a cart existed.
  7. I got Hyrule Warriors Age Of Calamity and Catherine Full Body from Santa.
  8. I can't believe that none of these third party companies have given us a portable N64 yet. We need that.
  9. Also open to trades if any interest. Thanks!
  10. I had a Hyperboy YEARS ago - I don't remember the Start button feeling "good." But I feel your pain - I tried playing NBA Jam TE on GB last year, and the Start button for Turbo thing was a total deal breaker for me. If you do build something that could magically turn the Start and Select into legit arcade style buttons, that would be amazing.
  11. I don't preorder often, but when I do I've had good luck getting things day one w/ both Amazon and Best Buy.
  12. as an aside, I never got into Pokemon cards, but I absolutely love Pokemon TCG on GBC.
  13. Yes! HOTD games are great. They were, yes. And there are things in both games that sort of reference each other http://www.hardcoregaming101.net/blue-stinger/ http://www.hardcoregaming101.net/illbleed/
  14. 8/10 for me, although I'm technically cheating because I played Pokemon YELLOW and never the original Red/Blue proper. But still. The short version is that when this game came out I was in high school and my friends were super into it but I was like "this looks like it's for kids" and ignored it. Fast forward ten years, and I finally played Pokemon Yellow on the GCN's Game Boy Player and following a guide and I had a blast with it. And in the years since I became more and more a Pokemon fan. Last year I played Let's Go Pikachu which was a modern remake of Yellow, and I loved it again. But I still think the original game(s) has a ton of charm and there's reason enough to play that instead of the modern version as well. Also, my daughter is one and I've been using her as an excuse to watch the new Pokemon show on Netflix. Whenever Pikachu comes on she smiles and says "kitty" which kills me.
  15. The percent is fairly low for me. Time is an issue of course, as others have said, late 30's dad w/ a job and responsibilities so less time for gaming. I play a lot of things, but don't finish most of them. Sometimes I'll sink 20 or 30 hours into an RPG and that's enough for me for one game. So I feel like I've gotten my enjoyment out of it, with the arbitrary need to see it through to the end. Sometimes I'll come back to a game like that a year later and finish it. The other thing is that I do get sucked into games with no end. Like right now I'm pretty addicted to Splatoon 2, so.
  16. wow, great haul. Let me know if any those NP's are doubles for you.
  17. I felt like they were awful even after you get used to them, haha. But it's a neat game concept. Also recommend its psuedo-sister-game Blue Stinger if you like Illbleed.
  18. yes, dude, yes! I remember playing it after my family had gone to bed, so the house was dark and it was late and quiet. I would have been 15. And yet, that game creeped me out because I had never played anything like it.
  19. I don't know if I'm a fan of survival horror as a genre on the whole, but I do absolutely adore the Resident Evil series. Note my avatar. And actually @Tekdrudge, you're avatar is on one of my most often worn t-shirts, haha. I've certainly dabbled in other games within the genre, and generally I do like things with a macabre theme to them. But RE stands well above for me, as it was my entry into the genre.
  20. 6/10 for me. When I met my wife (2004) she was super into them at the time. I had never really paid them much mind before that, but ended up listening to them a ton during our courting days, along with other 80's synth-pop bands. Myself, I was more into New Order. Anyway, the synth-pop phase kind of ended for both of us after a while. But there's definitely still some nostalgia there as certain Depeche Mode albums definitely make me think of that era when we first met.
  21. I hear you. I'm a big fan of the Wii U's Virtual Console, because it's awesome that you can get N64, GBA, even DS games on there. (It was slightly annoying that GB/GBC wasn't on Wii U, just 3DS). I feel like because they did bring N64 to Wii U, we will eventually see it on Switch (maybe GCN stuff as well), but right now, they don't NEED to deliver that stuff given that the Switch is such a huge success. I almost feel like we'll get that stuff if/when there's a lull in first party big hitters or something. I don't know. Rambling.
  22. That's not a bad point. In my mind, nostalgia moves in waves of 20 years. Like, in the 90's you had stuff like Dazed & Confused, Detroit Rock City, That 70's Show, and so on. And as we approached the 2000's, you got into The Wedding Singer and GTA Vice City and stuff like that. So yeah, we're probably now ready for 2000's nostalgia right now. I'm not into Lego stuff myself, so this is more just general talk.
