Sunshine doesn't deserve all of the hate it receives. Without it, my collection of 3D Mario games would be very incomplete: I like Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Sunshine more than Super Mario Galaxy.

I'm more excited about Super Mario 3D World finally coming to Switch than any of these other announcements. Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit does look cool though, and I plan on buying both the Mario and Luigi Karts sometime.

I can't decide, so I'll just say PS1 and GameCube.

Glad I still have my original copy that I bought in Dec. 2006, which only cost $30. Still play it along with New Leaf.

I've gotten back to playing Mario Kart 8 Deluxe online. It's unfortunate that the game doesn't display the Engine Class when the results appear, but I managed to get first place in Excitebike Arena on 200cc this morning:

Same. I haven't had any major issues with the Game Boy Player since first using it in 2004 or so. Nowadays, my GameCube is hooked up to an HDTV with it's Component cable and I use a WaveBird controller. No noticeable lag, and my Game Boy Player still works just as well as it did 16 years ago.

Console, mostly because I play more retro video games than modern and prefer playing them using real hardware instead of Emulators. I'm aware that PC's have a much higher resolution and that they usually run games at a smoother framerate, but it's not like consoles/retro games can't look good. Even GameCube still holds up reasonably well visually (and is still fun to play, of course), and several of its games run smooth at 60 FPS. Mine is hooked up with its Component cable, and some games such as Metroid Prime, F-Zero GX, and Twilight Princess still look modern(ish). Some also have Widescreen support, like F-Zero GX, Super Monkey Ball 2, and Super Mario Strikers. Also, nowadays, many games that don't have Widescreen support can be played in Widescreen with Action Replay, and even Animal Crossing looks decent when it is played in both Progressive Scan and Widescreen. Anyway, console gaming gets my vote...though I can understand why many people prefer PC's.

Since 1990. Still have my original copy of Rad Racer as well as those "Super Mario Bros. Trapped in the Perilous Pit" and "Winning Tips for Nintendo" books, all three of which were among the first video game items I ever got.

Ah good. Been waiting for this announcement for a while. Could Star Fox Zero be coming to Switch as well in the future? The only reasons I can think of that anyone would want a Wii U are collectors who need to have every Nintendo system, or the few people who don't have the original Wii and want to make use of the Wii U's backwards compatibility.

8/10 It has flaws, sure, but it is worth playing. It came with my GameCube, and I have been enjoying it since 2003. Underrated game; I don't regret playing it all these years.

Sumez was asking about the PS2 version, not the GameCube version, in response to my unpopular opinion that the GameCube version is superior (which I stand by, for several reasons listed on page 18). I, for one, didn't and still don't have a problem with the reversed controls since Metroid Prime is the same way (even in the unlockable NES Metroid) and I don't remember anyone ever complaining about that (just the aiming).

Not having DVD or CD playback didn't bother me, as I already had a DVD Player (and nowadays, a Blu-Ray Player). In addition, nearly everyone I knew in 2003/2004 had a DVD Player anyway even if they had a PS2. Even I, an owner of both a PS1 and PS2, didn't and still don't care much about the option to play CDs or the PS2's DVD capability. I bought them to play games, and that's what I did then and do now when turning one of them on. After all, the point of buying a game system is to play games. So naturally, I was and still am fine with the GameCube just being a game system (especially since it has plenty of games I like). Offline gaming was fine by me as well. I had friends then who played Melee, Double Dash!!, and Sonic Heroes (among others) with me, and I still have friends now that play Melee with me occasionally.

I have to mention that it is really sad that many classic YouTube users such as ericmansuper, Blaziken257, Tailz64, yearofthe, PlayitBogart, and undercoverfilmer00v (now known as No1Run) barely get any viewers these days and upload less frequently, or have quit altogether. It's unfortunate that a lot of people these days seem to think only Celebrities are worth their time. YouTube was so much better in its early years than it is now.

I regret selling these: Took those pictures in 2009. I also had a Top Loader NES so that I could play Ufouria.

It looks boring, and has that stupid IGN quote. The Japanese and PAL covers are much better.

A very brief history of YouTube: 2006: YouTube gets noticed and is a fun place for everyone. People enjoy watching basically any retro gaming video, watch them from start to finish, and post real comments 2020: YouTube resembles Facebook. Many users are picky about nearly everything from the type of video to a video's display, have shorter attention spans, and post spam comments...or nothing at all

So would I. I was just saying, it was eventually released. Just not on N64. I wonder if there's an N64 Prototype of the GameCube version of Yoshi's Cookie.

Very interesting. The GameCube version, included in Nintendo Puzzle Collection, is nearly identical to this.
