I'm confused by this list, I'm pretty sure there were more than 85 games on this console...

I've never opened a cart and had a battery that leaked. Then again, remember that these button cells are not alkaline batteries, but rather lithium batteries. They don't don't leak, but when their seal breaks they react with the air and burn up. To add to this, I wouldn't worry about the batteries seals breaking, if someone has a story about the battery bursting, please post it I wanna hear about it. edit: after doing some research, I guess this is a problem, like I said though, I've never had it happen to me.

I feel like this is a boogyman in the closet that are people are gonna get scared about for no reason. If I am not mistaken, this is simply data retention at the max specs, correct me if I am wrong. It was the same thing with EPROMs which were supposed to have a data retention of like 10 years, yet here we are with protos and arcade boards that used EPROMs still working just fine. I wouldn't worry about this, even if we do get to the point where it seriously matters, there will be a way to still play these games. What I am saying is there is probably no reason to panic about this stuff...

Game genie didn't come until later and no official nintendo game came with game genie codes. Nintendo even went as far as to sue the everliving hell out of Camerica and Galoob for selling the game genie.

Perhaps the box was added with the cartridge later on in its life by some store or something. Does the cart label look fine?

Looks like your run-of-the-mill repro. I doubt this was a factory job, it is way too messy for that. On top of that, even if it was a repair/4th shift, they would have had access to the official boards that the game used.

I can't say I've had the opportunity to meet any VGS folk. I know there are a couple people relatively close to me. @Jeevan keeps telling me he's gonna give me a visit at some point.
