  1. Descent did this with their free game Road to Legend. The AI plays as the dungeon master and you can play as the heroes. It works pretty well and I think now they have a few paid expansions.
  2. Thanks for the thorough response. It really gives a on grounds view of what is happening there. I can read a 100 articles about the US self imploding over the virus, but I think your post has given me a better picture of what it really is like living there with everything going on. I’m not trying to send this into a political debate but do you think if Biden wins it may be possible to get a proper response to the virus?
  3. Yeah this was what I was thinking, I guess it isn’t a big issue because it is turned based. I’ll definitely give it a go, it’s been easily 15 years since I played that game. I picked up Civ 6 on the switch recently because it was very cheap. I played it on launch without all the expansions so I look forward to playing all the other nations.
  4. Persona 4 & Tetris. persona- those quizzes taught some interesting things I never knew. I also learnt a lot about Japanese culture. Tetris- as previously mentioned about packing. I also think it helps you think more logically in life, maybe on a subconscious level.
  5. Maybe see if you can get some VGS ads on there haha.
  6. Not sure because I don’t live there, but what you say about corporations seems to be the consensus that most countries feel is happening over there. I really hope you guys can get back on the right track and come together as a country.
  7. I won’t claim to be any expert but I don’t doubt this statement. I watched a CNBC video today talking about how a lot of businesses are now wanting to get US workers back in the office and Wall Street companies are applying social pressure to get senior managers back. That just left me speechless.
  8. Haha it didn’t Haha nah didn’t bother me. I’ll definitely choose someone different next time around
  9. I think the saddest thing this pandemic has shown is which countries value money over life. I can’t stand reading how Sweden has been praised for their response. If allowing thousands of elderly to die is a success, then that is pretty cruel. Edit: I read in our National Paper that the US death rate is the equivalent of 9/11 happening 67 times. That really blew me away when I read that because the US response was way different to that. They united as a nation over those deaths.
  10. I went with Nera because she had magic and I tend to gravitate to mages in games haha.
  11. Haven’t played that but I will now that you have mentioned it I have played Dragon Quest 5 on the DS but I think I will give it a go on the SNES too because there are a few games recommend that I have played on different systems.
  12. Asian countries and Africa are tackling it because outbreaks like this are common so the citizens know what to do. They also don’t try and make it into a political debate. The western countries should be looking to them for inspiration. The biggest problem is the majority of people still think the following: it’s just like the flu, it’s my human right to ignore medical advice so I won’t wear a mask and will go party, I’m young it’s for old people, we can’t lock down forever and probably a lot more excuses I am forgetting. Here in Australia and NZ we have followed more of the Asian model and for the most part have everything under control. Victoria is still in a stage 4 lockdown due to an outbreak but we are probably a month away from winding back restrictions, all other states have for the most part returned to normal. It was crazy to read three weeks ago about Europeans partying and announcing there will be no more lockdowns because they just have to learn to live with it. Fast forward and they now have outbreaks and are looking to lockdown. This pandemic has made me even more grateful for where I live in the world.
  13. Probotector instead of Contra in PAL regions. I seriously don’t even know how they came up with that name or what it even means.
  14. Sounds like it might be time you also looked into getting a NAS considering how much critical data you have. The NAS will allow you to setup a RAID configuration to protect against data loss if a hard drive fails. You will also be able to setup nightly cloud backups or backups to external hard drives (remember to disconnect them as a security measure). So there is no need to remember to do a backup. If you have the money you could also put in business grade NAS hard drives just for a little bit more reliability over consumer grade. I think if you are willing to pay for NWC pictures you should definitely get the right IT equipment to protect the data. Let me know if you have any questions.
  15. Big fan of all those DOS games. I grew up on them, so it will be interesting to see how they translated to the SNES. Civilization I just can’t imagine on the SNES, that will be interesting. Currently playing through your suggestion of Illusion of Gaia and really enjoying it so far.
  16. Didn’t know about this project. I look forward to reading through it and discovering even more SNES games.
  17. Just finished it and loved it. Miles better then High Score. For those who want an extended history of Sega I highly recommend the book Service Games. Also, anyone that lives outside of the US can easily find it on alternative sites
  18. Yeah but that will never happen because the general populace is lazy or can't be bothered and FB and Google know this and exploit it. Also a lot of countries or areas of cities are very badly educated, so they will actually believe what is written on a social media post because that is their research. Changes can be made on social media and with tech giants, but none were really presented, which I found to be a small negative on what was overall a pretty good documentary.
  19. I’ve watched it and enjoyed it. I never got the impression that it was trying to say social media is why the world is divided. It for the most part lets you make your own conclusions (which is rare for a Netflix documentary). It looks more at how things like FB target audience its users based on likes and how long they stay on a video. It shows how easy it is to go down a rabbit hole because of the way the algorithm works. You watch one anti 5G video then the next thing your YouTube or FB is full of anti 5G videos. Which in turn can manipulate users that are easily influenced by things (especially teenagers). If you work in IT, most of the stuff you will already know. I think if you don’t, this will be an eye opener. My only complaint is that it didn’t really offer any solutions. I wish it had pushed for change, because I’m definitely in the camp that there needs to be regulation on some social media, just like other media platforms. I also found it very ironic that it was on Netflix which uses the same algorithms haha.
  20. I think there is going to be many versions of “full set” for the Switch with no clear consensus. Another one will be locations. I think games released in the UK only should still be part of the full set, but I’m sure people would disagree. So then does it become a US only set? But the switch has no region lock. For now, I’m just grabbing the games that seem fun. Unfortunately for my wallet there are a lot of great games on this system. I can’t think of a system that has had this many games I’ve really enjoyed. Could just be me though.
  21. Next game up was Skyblazer recommended by @Reed Rothchild and @Magus. Thoughts: Insanely fun platformer with a variety of interesting levels that never got boring. Good challenge, but not overly easy or hard. Highlights: Solid platforming with great controls Enjoyed the ability to stock to walls and diverse range of powerups A variety of levels and mechanics (loved the stage when you climb the tower and it moves with you) Great visuals Not so fun: Bosses were a little bland Score: 9/10
  22. First recommendation on the list from @Tabonga was Shadowrun. Thoughts: Absolutely amazing game. Never had heard of this series before, it started as a pen/paper role playing game. I will now have to read the books. Highlights: Winning my freedom by killing The King The music Diverse and interesting dialogue and characters Tight gameplay Interesting environment and level design Not so fun: Bloody snipers! Can be frustrating if you miss a keyword and have to backtrack The end drags on a little Score: 9/10 (probably more like a 9.2, the end game probably stopped this from being a 10)
  23. No plans to buy the new consoles any time soon. The Switch has an incredible library and I love the hybrid ability. If a new game comes out that I want to play, I’ll just re active my pc game pass when it’s available on there. Unless it is a Sony exclusive, but even those are starting to become rarer.
  24. 10/10. Can't wait to replay it for the 6th or 7th time now. I haven't played it since the DS version so it's probably about time haha. Until the release of Mario Odyssey, this was my favourite Mario.
  25. Wow nice. Thanks for sharing. Now I can actually grab this game and not debate whether it is worth paying ridiculous eBay prices for a copy that is so beat up it should really be $10. Edit: Well that sucks. US & Canada only. Way to neglect the majority of the world!
