  1. As a kid, I never heard about the hover board rumors, so I never had that trouble. But I do remember at the end of the third movie, when Doc gives Marty his gift. He opens it up to find the picture they took in front of the clock during the party. As a kid, I was super disappointed in that gift. I was sitting there like "why didn't Doc give Marty the hover board back?" Funny thing is that as an adult, I realize just how awesome having that picture would be.
  2. I didn't go inside, so I don't know what they had, but the next time I'm up in Litchfield, IL, I will check. But if they had tons of Pokemon cards, there is a good chance they had some other stuff as well.
  3. No interest. I own an original XBox and a 360, but I just don't see any reason to get this along with my PS4. I can only think of one exclusive game that I'm interested in, and that just isn't enough.
  4. I just received my shipping notification yesterday, so I wouldn't be worried if you haven't heard yet. It should be soon.
  5. If Sony doesn't fix the battery issue by the time the servers are shut down, someone else in the modding community will. This is absolutely a non-issue and anyone complaining about it is either clueless or trolling (and the LRG screenshot above is a perfect example of both).
  6. It was the mailman's last day on the job after 35 years of carrying the mail through all kinds of weather to the same neighborhood. When he arrived at the first house on his route he was greeted by the whole family there, who congratulated him and sent him on his way with a big gift envelope. At the second house they presented him with a box of fine cigars. The folks at the third house handed him a selection of terrific fishing lures. At the fourth house he was met at the door by a strikingly beautiful woman in a very revealing negligee. She said nothing, but instead took him by the hand, gently led him through the door (which she closed behind him), and led him up the stairs to the bedroom. There she engaged him in the most passionate love-making he had ever experienced. When he could hardly even speak, let alone think of more sex, she somehow managed to shower him, dress him, and take him downstairs, where she fixed him a giant breakfast: eggs, potatoes, ham, sausage, blueberry waffles, and fresh-squeezed orange juice. She poured him a cup of steaming coffee and noticed his strength returning as she rubbed his neck soothingly. Just then, as she was pouring a second cup of Java feeling like life couldn't get any better, he noticed a dollar bill sticking out from under the cup's bottom edge. He blurted out, "This whole neighborhood has been incredible on my last day, but this here ... well, this is just too wonderful for words!" Then, puzzled, he added, "... but ... what's the dollar for?" "Well," she said, "last night, I told my husband that today would be your last day, and I said that we should do something special for you. I asked him what he thought I should give you." He grunted and said, "Aw fuck him; give him a dollar." Then she added, "Breakfast and the neck rub were MY idea."
  7. I also feel that the parents "not recognizing" Marty is not a plot hole. It's completely reasonable for two people to not have a photographic memory of a person they knew for one week, 30 years later. Anyone attempting to call this a plot hole is simply grasping for straws. While I agree that there are a few plot related issues through out the trilogy (basically impossible to avoid when dealing with time travel story lines), the parents not recognizing Marty is NOT one of them.
  8. This past weekend we ended up finding a bunch of Pokemon card packs at a Walgreens near my house. Then on a trip to my in-laws, we stopped by a Walmart in a smaller town and found a bunch of card packs there as well. I guess the flippers don't venture out that far from the big cities.
  9. I'm not sure about the paint part, although many models have been painted since. I would of course keep the stainless steel look because I love the look. One interesting bit in info that I know of is that DeLorean considered the concept of model years to be a scam. So production changes on the car models happened throughout the year as needed. Because of this, it's actually sort of difficult to tell the model years apart unless you really know what to look for.
  10. I'm a car person almost as much as I am a video game person, so I have a huge desire to get a DeLorean even outside of my love for the movie. Unfortunately, finding a manual version in good condition means you need to bring a lot of money with you. Maybe someday.
  11. I meant to post this earlier. My Halloween costume from last year. Sadly, not many young people recognize it. I've been trying to convince my wife to let me buy a DeLorean to go with the outfit.
  12. Probably a 9 for me as well. My Dad introduced me to the Eagles many, many, many years ago, and I've been a fan ever since.
  13. I know it's a simple answer, but if you stick with the classics, you can't go wrong. My kids played their first NES game last night. Of course it was Super Mario Bros. They couldn't get very far, but they loved it and they want to try again tonight.
  14. I'm the same way with Twitter. I think I've posted 3 or 4 tweets in the past 10 years. I use it for reading only.
  15. That's funny. I had no idea. I've had Instagram for years now, but I've never posted a single thing. I use it for viewing only.
  16. I wouldn't worry about it. Sony claims they are "working on it." But even if they aren't, someone else will be. Assuming Sony never fixes this with a patch, it won't become an issue until many years after Sony abandons the system, and the hacking and jailbreaking community will have fixed the issue by then. If you want to worry about something, you should focus your worry on whether the PS4 will even last that long and how easy or difficult it will be to get replacement parts. That's a much bigger concern than the battery issue.
  17. I'm not sure how hot it gets where you are at or how much sun you have on your front porch, but we plant Vincas in our planters in the front of the house every year. They will survive the 100 degree summers in direct sunlight as long as they get a little bit of water every other day. You can plant them in the early spring and they will survive all the way up until the first frost. They are not annuals, so you will have to replant them each spring, which isn't a big deal. As far as privacy grasses go, we have a lot of that here. I forget the official name, but it's basically prairie grass. It will certainly provide privacy at it's tallest, but most of those types of grasses will need to be cut down at least once per year which means you will lose some of your privacy in the spring. If you want year round privacy, I would go with some type of arborvitae. You may or not may need a dwarf type depending on how big or small you want to go.
  18. B&B - As a kid I thought the show was funny, but I hated the music video parts because they rarely watched music I was familiar with (at least at the time). I didn't watch the show too often as my parents weren't too crazy about me watching it. However, I remember watching the B&B Do America movie in the theaters and really enjoying it. I need to watch that again and see if it holds up today. Bojack - never watched it South Park - I remember watching the first episode when it first aired and enjoying it. But some of those earlier seasons don't hold up well today in my opinion. I prefer the later seasons when they started covering recent topics in the news (sometimes as recently as the day before it aired). With that said, I haven't watched the show in years as I hardly ever watch new TV anymore (I don't have any type of cable or live TV except for the local channels that I get over the air.
  19. I guess I have the error print, which isn't surprising since I bought it at launch (one of the only games I've ever pre-ordered actually).
