  1. Full disclosure: there were 8 adults there as well (including my wife and I). So we weren't outnumbered. But yes, it was still a lot of work. On the way home we stopped at Fort Walton Beach for two days. 6 kids under 6 is also a lot of fun when sand is involved. For anyone not familiar, sand is course, rough and irritating....... and it gets everywhere.
  2. I finally unlocked Crown World today and once you have that, it starts to list which characters have beaten which levels. I was able to confirm today, that you only need to get the gold flag (top of the pole) with once character. After that, you just need to finish each level (any height on the pole) with the rest of the characters. I officially have 4 shinning stars on my save profile. Not much left to do.
  3. We went there in 2019 with my two kids and 4 nieces/nephews (6 kids total under the age of 6). I brought a 3DS with a bunch of games to play in the evenings after the kids went to bed, but before I went to sleep. I never turned in on once the entire week.
  4. As a kid, I was super excited for this movie. Despite the fact that it was nothing like was I expected, I still absolutely loved the movie. At the time, I was really only familiar with the original cartoon and toy line, so the darker themes of the movie were surprising to me, but I loved it because it felt a "adult" to me. My friends and I LOVED the fact that the turtles were swearing. The crazy thing is that even watching it again as an adult, it wasn't that bad of a movie. It's far from perfect, but I would still recommend it to anyone who was a TMNT fan.
  5. That makes the most sense to me. I'm 3 levels into the Flower world, so just 9 more levels plus the 3 crown levels. So far, I have all stars, stamps, and gold flags for every level I've completed. I plan to finish everything with Mario, and maybe at a later date go through the levels again with the other characters.
  6. Probably my favorite console after the original PlayStation. A lot of it has to do with the excitement and hype of waiting for the sequel to the NES, and the fact that it delivered on that hype. I know I've told this story before, but my brother and I got one for Christmas the year it came out, but we truly didn't expect to get it. My parents rarely spent big money on new things (we were very late to get an NES). So we figured we would get one a few years after it came out. Christmas came and we opened our presents and had a great day. Then a few hours later, my parents brought out one last present that had been "missed." It was for both of us and we opened our brand new SNES. We couldn't believe it and playing Super Mario World (I was surprised it wasn't called Super Mario Bros. 4) absolutely blew my mind. Also, I found out many years later that it technically wasn't brand new. My Dad had opened it the night before after we went to sleep and played it for a few hours before packing it back up and my Mom wrapped it.
  7. I agree with the upgrade to LED as well. Just make sure you are upgrading to LED and not CFL.
  8. I haven't been able to get a straight answer on this. Do you need to get every character to hit to top of the pole, or just one character? I know you eventually need to finish every level with every character to get 100%, and I know you need to get a gold flag on every level, but I can't figure out if the gold flag is with all characters, or just one.
  9. I finished the game about a week ago and I've been working on the levels in the secret worlds now. The difficulty spike on the secrete worlds is significant, but not surprising. I finished the main part of the game with all stars and stamps. Overall, getting 100% on the main part of the game was much easier than doing the same in NSMBUD. Overall, I enjoyed the game much more than I thought I would, but I still prefer 2D Mario games. I'm hoping to be able to finish all of the secret worlds, but I don't know if I want to beat every level with every character. That just sounds tedious for someone playing it by themselves. While I enjoyed the game, I still hate the camera and overall controls. Nintendo can't quite seem to figure out cameras in 3D games for some reason.
  10. That's not a bad thing. I see lots of people buying CE's that I don't believe they truly want. I think some people get them because they feel like they have to.
  11. I'll probably get the game, but luckily since Castlevania wasn't a huge part of my childhood, it will be pretty easy for me to skip the CEs and save some money.
  12. I'm just pacing myself. But in all seriousness, before you posted this, it was my intention to start with Mario RPG using my new Super NT. I'm still going to try and do that this week.
  13. Just saw the new trailer. I was already on board, but if there was any doubt, that's gone now.
  14. Extremely underrated movie. No matter how many times I watch it, it never gets old. It's one of those movies where I have to watch it if I see it on TV.
  15. If you think the PS4 internal battery issue is bad, wait until you see this! https://ogn.theonion.com/jesus-christ-shigeru-miyamoto-has-confirmed-that-every-1846740937
  16. It sounds like he stopped going right after getting hired and it mentions he threatened his boss. So if he was new enough that his coworkers didn't know about him, and his boss kept quiet due to threats, it's somewhat believable. With that said, there are definitely some holes in their HR system that should be investigated.
  17. I always felt the PS1 dual analogue flight stick was interesting (and super big). Normal PS1 controller included for size comparison.
  18. I played it back when it was he most current Zelda, but I never played it enough to really get into it and get good. Therefore, I've never been good enough to play the game for any length of time. With that said, it's still a fun game with amazing music and good visuals for the time.
  19. It's cool that the box is included, but it's awesome that the controller is with it as well.
  20. Some individual has to go and make a manual change in the system vs. an original order placed in the system for multiple games. One has a much higher chance for human error along with requiring resources from an employee and the other doesn't. I genuinely don't see how they are even comparable. Again, that system was a nice option to have when games had to be ordered on the day they were released, and sometimes you might order 4 different games on 4 different Friday's. But it's an inferior system to what is offered now. You might not be able to combine orders on different games purchased in different months, but honestly that shouldn't be necessary.
  21. I would definitely not have called that method "easy." Now you just wait for several games to pop up at the same time and combine them. It's definitely easier now. Keeping that older method around would have been nice, but it clearly wasn't worth the effort on their side. I'm surprised it lasted as long as it did, or that it even existed at all.
