  1. Smash TV with Alien Syndrome. And Jill Valentine! Looked like her at first anyway.
  2. Skyrim is a very dangerous world, there are bandits and monsters everywhere as well as a wicked mages and necromancers and vampires, and dragons, can't forget those. It would be a horrible place to live. If anything like this world and my role here, I would not be the heroine of the story, just some random NPC trying to survive the normal day to day struggles which would be far worse than our own world. Though, I could be the heroine, maybe even the Dragonborn, though I would most likely shirk my duties, but then I would get an extra beating from Grelod... But if I did have some sort of skills or powers, I would excel in fighting, or magic, better yet archery, yep, I've always been good with the bow (okay in real life never used one, but hey, I teleported to game world and chose this role and what I'm good at, which actually would probably be everything) or something other than the Dragonborn, I would maybe be okay with living there, there are plenty of places I've called home even if the game doesn't recognize them as such. Patch up that wall there (after clearing out all falmer and the huge bug problem), clean up the bloodied bodies, fix that leaking ceiling, that lighthouse would make a great home (one of many), or kill all of the evil witches in Darklight Tower, clean the place up, get some better lighting in there, but keep the nasty decor outside to deter unwanted visitors. Nope, too big. I'd settle for the alchemist shack or better yet that shack near the waterfall close to Helgen, fix it up, add a door, closing windows, flooring, proper roof, plant myself a little garden, build a strong wall around the joint, always wanted a little house to call my own and hey fresh water from melting mountain snow for drinking and bathing, brrr that's friggin' freezing. But there would be none of the luxuries that I have now in this world, everything would have to be done the hard way, well unless there's a spell to accomplish it, or something. But being as I would excel in melee combat and or archery and hopefully know a few useful spells and have no issues about killing things (actually rather enjoy it, kind like real life version of video games), and with plenty of monsters and bad guys around, finding work wouldn't be an issue, since I could be a treasure hunter, bounty hunter, monster slayer... at least I wouldn't be bored. But would I live in Skyrim or any other place in Tamriel or on that world, ugh, probably not. But then again, powers, real magic, I dunno, kinda very tempting. At least it isn't Fallout 3, who in their right mind would want to live in that kind of world?
  3. All beautiful, impressive works! Very nice!
  4. Pokémon Version Bleue. My Salameche, renamed as Flamqueue is now at level 12, and I now have several more Pokémon, Rattata, Roucool, Nidoran (male and female), each of those are at level 4. Fought my nemesis, Red, wasn't ready for the battle, but he left me no choice, but still I whipped him and his Pokémon. Been at this for 2:55, and plan on continuing this game for until I am distracted or bored, but right now it has my attention, so I guess when I get back to it I will be leveling up my new additions to get them as strong as Flamqueue so that way I will be better prepared for another multi-Pokémon battle without so much risk of getting KO'ed.
  5. Always wanted that. Every since Twisted Metal 2 I imagined an arena style Megaman game taking place across various worlds where you can use every robot master and battle it out against others, running around shooting, stealing powers, climbing ladders, jumping platforms, avoiding traps on the field, everything from all the original Megaman games but in 3D perspective instead of side view, destroy all opposing robot masters on that stage and then do it again somewhere else, and boss fights would be bigger Wily machines. Also a mode to create your own robot masters. Damn, still wish such a game existed, at least the way I envisioned it, would have been addictive fun. I only know some Pokémon, most of the main ones, well whichever ones were when it first came out. But hey, trying out Pokémon for the first time because of this topic. Not sure for how long, but I'll play it for a little while at least to know how the game(s) play.
  6. I always imagined I was in the video games worlds back then, started all the way back when I used to play Berserk on the 2600, imagine myself on some robot infested maze planet, terrified, trying as I might to escape but ultimately never do, always ended up eventually blasted to death by lasers or electrocuted against a wall or pounded to a mushy pile by the evil Otto. All started there. Kept going with the NES, I was either the princess or other damsel in distress or I was the heroine, and if need be pretend the dude hero was a her. Fun times. Back then I had the power to go from one game world to another, either through warps or item or spell, and could also take weapons and powers with me back to the real world too. Always wanted the Blaster Master tank. I had quite the imagination then, I really got into my roles. But as I grew in age, gaming became more serious and it was all about the challenge, beating them, experiencing them for what they were, nothing more. pretty sad really.
  7. As a child, err young teen actually, I was Captain N! Hey, most kids I knew sucked at Nintendo games. I not only beat all of my own games but many of theirs too.
  8. After seeing a Pokémon topic and reading, I thought, well hell, I've never played a Pokémon game before at all, ever. I only ever watched the first movie, and caught just mere glimpses of the cartoon on tv long ago. So I fired up the Gameboy emulator and picked one, Pokémon version Bleue. Yes, in french, always for my studies, to learn. Been playing for 1:37 and my chosen Pokémon, Salameche whom I named Flamqueue is now at level 8. so far really only had about a dozen battles with wild Pokémon, but mostly just typing out all of the text in the game has been most of the time spent. I think if I play some more maybe I might enjoy this one. As for the names of Pokémon in relation to their english counterparts, I only know a handful, such as my Salameche is Charizard. I wasn't even sure which one came first in the series of games, so I took a guess and started there.
  9. If there is something else after this existence, well, so long as it doesn't suck I guess I'm okay with it, otherwise erase my ass, let me rest in nonexistence.
  10. Rollergames was hard. I beat that way back in 2003, must've had somewhere around a hundred deaths. It was my first and only time I really put in the effort. It has a bit of a learning curve with the controlling of a character on wheels while fighting and maneuvering along obstacles, ramps, pits and traps, like a Double Dragon or Ninja Turtles on rollerskates. I enjoyed it, but whew, it was one of the harder ones I'd beaten at the time. Perhaps if I had played it more I could have gotten good at it, but never did really play it again. And here just a little bit ago I was watching a gameplay of it on Youtube, the person playing it made it look so much easier, but then even as I watched them seemingly breeze though that jungle stage and the last level as well, I know how difficult it was when I played it.
  11. Very well done tutorial, best I've ever seen, very well explained and shown, as well as well spoken and clear, but then it might be the only one I've seen like this. That second screen on the 3rd stage when you climb the stairs, don't jump and throw holy water at that bird, move over on that ledge enough so it appears on screen and then wait for it to be in attack range (either it will come at you at chest level or lower a little so you can hit it standing or ducking depending), kill it, then drop down, don't jump, jumping is what summons that ghost that comes from behind and if you miss in attacking it you can be in some trouble as ghosts are kind of hard to shake, so drop instead, and no ghost appears to get your rear. Also, some enemies in this game can be scrolled off of the screen, particularly useful in stage 3 with the birds, get them on screen and the moment they take flight, back up enough to make them disappear, then continue on your way, major life saver if they happen to be a pain in the ass for you. The dragonskull cannons, particularly ones that wait on the other side of ledges, if you have the boomerang, launch one of those as cover and follow it, then you can get in close enough to whip the threat or even jump over it, just beware of fire from behind if you do decide to leap over. Another good strategy getting across gaps with those bone pillars is to hit their first shot and jump over the second and the gap and quickly move in towards them. The mummy boss(es), don't ever fight them on level ground, unless you want to be fair and more sportsman like, fight them from the blocks, that means not breaking that lowest one for that food, unless you really, really need it and still think you can beat them, but then you could risk becoming a Simon sandwich with mummies as the bread and you as the meat. Take your time in that long stretch in stage 4 with the eagles and hunchbacks, just time your whips and keep moving at a decent pace but always get them the moment the eagles drops them off, but hesitate enough just after each kill so as to avoid a most possible trade for a less desirable subweapon (hunchbacks here love to drop axes and stopwatches), but if they drop a potion and it's along the way, get it and get going for as long as it lasts but be ready for when it's about to wear out. Stage 5 just as you climb up into the axe knight / medusa hall the candle at the edge of the screen is a big heart, so if running low on ammo, get that and go back down the stairs, climb back up and repeat until you feel more secure, do this quickly but beware of that medusa head that comes from the right edge. Sometimes you can get by axe knights without fighting them, there is one that you can actually jump over (midway through the level), involves rushing to some stairs, climbing them without pause and jumping away from the ledge to land behind it, it will then turn to face you but by then you can just keep going, a good thing to know if short on subweapons or lack the holy water and don't want to risk fighting it head on. Dracula's second form you can control what he does depending on how close you are to him, if really close, close enough for him to kiss you (less than a block's distance), then he will try to do a high jump to crush you under his feet (but beware of jumping up to hit him when this close, any more than one attack against him and he may retaliate with fireballs or a forward jump instead of a high jump), a little bit of distance away and he does regular jumps or shoots fireballs. Oh, and stock up on that last screen before fighting Drac by going up the stairs collecting the hearts from the candles outside his room and going back down the stairs and repeat until you feel you have enough hearts to feel safer. But even with knowing everything there is to know for best survival, I still don't always have it easy, and while I've beaten it, a lot, no deathing it not so often, always all it takes is one little mistake and death comes for you soon after.
  12. Tried another game whip only for Castlevania, and once again all lives lost against the Grim Reaper. My nerves have not recovered. You know, I used to have a faster recovery rate, but find it's getting worse, not just with games but everything. Unfortunately I need to rest from it, no point over-stressing myself and have a friggin' heart attack from Castlevania. Well more than likely pass out from holding my breath during those intense moments of battling the 4th and 5th bosses, get the fingers feeling numb and head a floaty sorta feeling. Remember, breath. 'Breathes', there, better. Eyes are all watery and starry from all the concentration needed to avoid being killed by all the stuff flying or jumping around the screen shooting at me, can only imagine right now me against Contra after all these years, shit, one hit deaths and shots shooting from everywhere. While I believe my skill has not declined in my years, what has though is my stamina, I wear down too fast.
  13. Was playing Castlevania, trying for a whip only game, something I've done before but it's been a long time and having done, well mostly done the subweapons only, that I should try the whip only thing again. First time, I lost all of my lives to the Reaper, so close to beating him half of those times, decided not to continue. Just gave it another go, but nerves still shot to hell from my battle with Mr Grim that I played a little more sloppy this time, and this time lost every single life to the Monster and Hunchback, all the whole while cursing up a storm of f' you's, son of a b'tch, bastard! My last life we killed each other at the same time, at least I got that satisfaction, took the f'ers with me.
  14. We'll see what happens, but it's something I am considering, it's not like I don't have access to every game in the NES library, though it will depend on how long my laptop lasts for, and my mental state. Hey, but I got the games, thus if everything is still in working order next year all I need is a good frame of mind and motivation.
  15. Damn, I've been going over the archived NA posts at GoCollect, and shit, I had no idea I was missed that much. And here I was all that time feeling fucking miserable and all I had to do is keep playing NES even if only on emulator and go back to NA when it was still good. Almost got tears in my eyes. Was just reading 2013 Bad Dudes competition, sure was some issues regarding the what is point racking and not especially with the green ninja boss and the charge punch. I went looking over there because I've been going over my game accomplishments and found I was missing one major accomplishment (probably more) that I remember all too well, Little Nemo the Dream Master beaten without dying (I know I did it because I recorded it, but like everything it was deleted during one of my self destructive moments), but I only have documents up to some point in 2012 so either happened later that year or the next and if I do have it's probably on my old hard drive from my previous laptop, though I wonder if the hard drive is even still any good, sucks anyway. Hey, but I did all this kick ass shit then, I can do it again. Maybe. Weird that so much time has passed since I was big into the record keeping and beating NES games I had forgotten a lot of my achievements.
  16. Gave Castlevania another try after all with the whole subweapons only thing, didn't quite succeed but did come damn near close and played a good game, beating it with only one death (should've no deathed it, like seriously, stupid Drac and his teleporting on me) and hitting two of the bosses accidentally once each with the whip, but otherwise, yeah, just the subweapons, mostly the boomerang. Details and vid on the games beaten topic. I'm rusty a little but I still got it.
  17. 2019-11-7 Castlevania - 9 deaths / 1 continue used, mostly all subweapons 2019-11-8 Castlevania - 1 death (against Dracula's second form), subweapons only game except for an accidental single hit on the Frankenstein Monster and Grim Reaper each (a failed challenge but still a damn good playthru)
  18. Mystic Quest Legend, SNES. Took so long to get through that Arbre Géant (giant tree) but now in Ventia. I'm at level 29, time so far 10:39. Before that I was playing Castlevania to continue trying for that subweapons only game, but kept getting worst and worst and more and more aggravated, I had to give it a rest. I really don't have the patience I used to, long ago I would have never thought to throw or break something over frustrations in a game, after all I'm the one putting myself through the ordeal, but still, the rage swells and violence sometimes goes beyond merely just crossing my mind. So traded up Castlevania for Mystic Quest. Not saying an RPG is without it frustrations, friggin cheap instant kills abound lately, but doesn't cause me to tense up or set my nerves a shaking and I did manage to calm down and get out of the flustered mood I put myself in by forcing that challenge on myself. Crazy shit we sometimes do to ourselves.
  19. My (mostly) subweapons only game of Castlevania yesterday. Someday I will succeed in this all the way, but I done frustrated myself enough with it for now. In some ways subweapons only is much easier than whip only, except for those times that you accidentally use the whip, or grab a stopwatch or another less useful subweapon other than the boomerang. Otherwise, not too hard to manage shot usage and keep stocked with enough hearts. The furthest I got subweapons only was to the Grim Reaper fight in a previous game never recorded, not this one, this time I messed up on the Monster/hunchback boss I was going to end the game but with as many times as I started this over I decided to keep going and make it a mostly subweapons playthrough but still intending not to use my whip, well except for when I started dying, needed it to get me a subweapon again. I was still rusty in this playthrough, forgot a few things, had to die a few times to have me memory jogged, but actually did better than game than the dozen plus I tried afterwards.
  20. But less likely to glitch because that part of the level no longer exists for the time being until it is reset through a death or something.
  21. Makes sense, sometimes scrolling, especially if too many things going on the game fails to keep up with it properly such like Metroid with the sudden color changes to blocks, or like Skyrim or State of Decay and such when the game can't load everything fast enough you find yourself suddenly falling through ground or driving through walls that hadn't loaded yet and then find yourself trapped when they do. Sounds like a similar thing.
  22. At least that 1up that appeared to have fallen off screen didn't. Wonder what caused the background and foreground to swap, you do something to trigger it or it just happened randomly?
  23. I'm not much a regular Mario Bros fan, rarely much played the NES one, though did have it on the Atari 2600 and played it in my very early years of gaming. But still a glitch like this, it's a good one, after all, short on time, takes too long to run around and jump up the edge of the platform, fuck it, jump right up through the middle and kick that baddie (or escape a threat, get that coin, whatever). Hope you didn't mind me making the video, I did look it up on Youtube to see if I could find any others but was only finding Super Mario related stuff. You find this glitch recent or some time ago?
  24. Tried it out and succeeded thus felt a recording of it would be pretty cool to show it in action. I had some trouble at first but by the second round managed to pull it off a few times more easily. This is a glitch that could be super useful if mastered.
